I usually get a Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak Combo, it’s $12.99, is the entire width of a styrofoam to go container and is so damn stuffed with meat you need a fork to eat it cause there’s no damn way you can eat it without like half the meat falling back in the container.
My wife usually gets their Gyro plate and it’s the same deal, so much meat that it’s basically 2-3 meals for like $16.
Their decor is pretty simple, and honestly if they had to choose between great food at very reasonable prices or some swanky decor I’m glad they went with the food.“

“Twelve Islands was my favorite family restaurant in Crown Point… Even though I don’t live there anymore when I head that way I like to stop in… My daughters loved going there and loved the lemon rice soup…I occasionally got the chicken livers and the calves liver with onions and bacon…. LOL 😂 Oh and the Chefs salad was always great, Greek style…. It’s always good there… I would definitely recommend it…! 5 STARS ✨“

“My friends and I ate breakfast there the other day. They had remodeled the place. It was brighter& cheery. The only thing I would recommend is bring in some round tables for groups of 6. That makes it Easier for talking & socializing while you eat. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our meals came quick & hot. The store area has many nice things but set up too crowded to actually look well to the point you might miss something you would actually buy. I would actually redo the set up of - how you display the products in the store area to be less congested. It’s just too overwhelming to see it all well in its current set up.“

“Disappointing..the chili/koney sauce was very salty to the point it was nesrly inedible. ..I think since it was late afternoon, it simmered to the point where it became concentrated due to evaporation and it needed some liquid to even out the extreme salt content... the dogs were good, the chili cheeseburger was almost impossible to eat..so messy. “I'm originally from Northwest Indiana we came up on a visit so I've been wanting a gyro a very badly since we don't have them in Kentucky! I ordered a gyro player for myself and Rib tip platter for my husband and my husband was completely impressed as he is from Kentucky and he says it was the best rib tips he's had. Gyro was really good just wish I had more feta cheese to it a little bit more spice within the meat but I was very pleased to have a gyro“

The upstairs was loaded with like 50 guests from a baseball team? So he was VERY busy. But that didn't stop him from speed, accuracy and friendliness! Best bartender ! He deserves a raise!“

However, the YELLOW Lake Perch dinner is absolutely the best in the area. The filets are perfectly breaded and pan fried. We also got a side of 2 walleye filets prepared the same way. Just as good with the distinctly walleye taste. We were both in the mood for coleslaw and fries. After we left, neither of us could figure out why it took so long to go back. We had a great, friendly server (Lindsey) who was new, but she was awesome. We also got to chat with Cindy (the owner) for a while. The place is not smokey at all and not very busy for a Friday night. My only complaint is their social media outreach. I like to look at menus before I visit a restaurant. But that's just me. We will be back to try other offerings, highly recommended.“

“I visited One 13 North Saturday night with my boyfriend. It was completely packed but we were sat and greeted fast. Our server was very attentive and knew the menu. I noticed all the employees working as a team! I had the parmesean encrusted filet he had the chicken parmesean sandwich, both 10/10 along with a few of the fall cocktails but the carmel apple mule was my absolute favorite! Gail was an absolute delight! We will be back!! Thank you guys!“

“Flamingos has been in town for a long time. Nice little cozy place. A good perch dinner. We like a thin crust pepperoni pizza. The flavor of the pizza dough reminds me of Onos which was one of the Best pizza places, that has a Great flavor to it that you can not find anywhere. The cheese is stretchy when hot. Good flavor! “All the steaks were undercooked. When I told the waitress that it was not making my belly feel very good, she said it looked good to me. I would have eaten it. Medium Rare is not maroon deep red. I ordered the sirloin and shrimp. My kids had the kids' sirloin, and my son had a sirloin. When I complained and told them I didn't want anything else I felt sick from eating it that way the couple bites to get to the middle where it was super rare she came back with a bill and charged me for a shrimp meal. I had to argue with her and ask for a manager who did the charging of the shrimp meal, so I complained again. I told them I didn't come to a steakhouse to get a shrimp and wanted a good cooked steak they finally complied and comped my meal. I also told them my kids' steaks were not done right. My oldest ate them, though, because he can do more rare. Was overall a bad experience, I have been there several times over the years as we travel through going up Michigan and never experienced anything like this. I'm not sure we will stop again it has gone downhill.“
