“It was my husband’s and my first time coming here, and it definitely won’t be our last. Coffee is made well, breakfast foods aren’t just heated up in a microwave but actually made with thought, and the pastries are original. Not to mention, the little things staff did to give customers the best experience, such as coming to them at the drive-thru to get double orders if the line became too long, or offering advice/info on drinks prior to ordering. Plus, staff seem like they truly enjoy working there. Overall, really good experience.“

So I've been going often. Of course the quality of the food/drinks is top notch for fast food (they don't make it 'til you order) and they must pay their workers a decent wage, because at EVERY location (several in Lawrence, a few in KC) the workers are ALWAYS bright, cheerful and make me feel welcome to have stopped through the drive through!“

I have never tried anything here that doesn’t taste good, everything is so delicious, flaky and fresh! They also are always coming out with new pastries, you can never go wrong with anything here. The cakes are also so fluffy and light. My parents don’t love eating cake but they are obsessed with the cake from Tous Les Jours. Must go!!“

“Had a wonderful breakfast at Milton's. Our waitress forgot to put our order in to the kitchen, so we were delayed about 15 minutes. But the staff was very apologetic, and gave us a nice discount! Loved everything about Milton's, and highly recommend!“

“Good place to sit and get some work done. Drinks get messed up fairly frequently and staff has never seemed too eager to fix the issues but whatevs ??‍♀️ it’s just an $7 drink. If you see the drink in the photo - that’s supposed to be the “Pink Drink” more like pink cottage cheese and they were out of strawberries (the best part) but no one told me that.“

I usually go to an independent coffee place on the Mass and 7th, which I like better. Still addicting sweet good coffee, which I have only had two times this Fall as a treat for doing lawn work.“

“When I lived in Lawrence, I went to Java Break often. It was one of my favorite study spots and it has my favorite italian soda of all time. Ever since I moved out of the state, I think about their coffee and their cheesecake regularly. It is one of the places I go to every time I'm back in town.
