“We have eaten here several times and have normally had good service and food. However recently I was sitting on hold for about 20 mins before I finally hung up and tried calling back. Which I could not as I'm guessing the phone was just sitting on the bar and all I got was the busy signal. I still recommend The Hive for its good food and usually good service, but wanted to share my most recent experience.“

“Excellent food (lobster deviled eggs, avocado toast platter, mimosas and espresso martini). Everything was delicious. Avocado toast platter had lots of options for building toast and all were delicious. Excellent attentive service. We were there for hours chatting, sharing mimosas. We were never rushed. Always a treat to go to First Mile. Thank you for a wonderful morning.“

“Redrock Canyon Grill last night for a birthday dinner. There was double booking on our reservation that we placed a week ago, and we got the short end of the stick. Poor communication aside though, here's how dinner went. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer, and when it came out, the plate had like 6 chips on it. Seemed pretty steep for the price ($15), but we asked for more chips and they brought out an entire plate more for free. It came with the dip, as well as a small cup of salsa. Both tasted great! Extra chips made up for the perceived lack of portion size. For a main course, I got the 10oz Filet with mashed potatoes, and "something green" (green beans). The Filet was excellently prepared at requested "medium", with a ton of flavor! It was a stark contrast to what we got at Salt**ass. Tender, juicy, and well seasoned, with a nice crust! Sizes came in 6oz(?), 10oz, and 14oz. Easily the best steak I've had at a restaurant. I wish I would've gotten the 14oz, but not because I was still hungry....I just didn't want to good time to end. 🥴 Next up was the mashed potatoes.....and ho-lee-sht. Creamy, full of flavor! I could be wrong, but i felt like I tasted onions in them? I dont really know what's in them for sure, but i feel like I need to create a Redrock Anonymous group to deal with the withdraw I will be battling, until we inevitably go back. Green beans were also excellent. Not a lot to go over in specifics, but they were awesome, and the perfect companion to the rest of the culinary masterpieces on my plate. Our waitress was super attentive, and quick to refill drinks before they were empty. Very knowledgeable in specials and pricing, and overall a great communicator. This was literally the best meal I've had out at a restaurant, period, and Redrock is likely going to be our go-to for celebrations, and date night's from now on. “Usually, nostalgia is a sensation that comes from a time period you experienced yourself. Many of us didn’t experience the ‘50s, but diners are apart of the American landscape that chances are you have great memories in a ‘50s themed diner, or at least relate to it as a symbol of American culture. Thanks Jimmie's Diner for keeping that nostalgia going!! Our server, Flash was outstanding he was very friendly and personable. we had a good conversation with him aswell. our food was right on par and the presentation looked great. we fi shed our lunch with a giant sundae. “Had the brisket Mac and cheese egg roll, southwest chicken egg roll, and voodoo fries. Egg roll consistency was awesome, shells nice and crispy! Voodoo fries were the big win. Covered in various sauces and andouille sausage. We will be be going out of our way to find them again! Seriously… try the voodoo fries.“

“I ordered for the first time from your establishment tonight. Just a simple steak mashed potatoes and side salad. It came just perfect. It’s perfect size for two meals for this older single lady. Actually four meals because I will get two lunches out of the salad and that means a lot to me being retired. I didn’t have to cook or clean anything up either. The steak was nice and tender, flavorful and I really appreciate not having potato peels in my mashed potatoes!! those were very good! I will be back. Thanks!“

“I tried the falafel burger basket at Beastro inside Sedgwick County Zoo. The burger was decent but not exceptional—while the falafel patty was flavorful, the overall combination with the bun and toppings felt a bit dry. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, which I enjoyed. Given the location and the convenience of grabbing a quick bite during a zoo visit, it's a decent option, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The prices are a bit steep for what you get, but that's expected at a place like this. Overall, it's an okay choice if you're hungry while exploring the zoo.“

“This place is great. The food is very delicious every time. Their portions are awesome for the prices. I enjoy that they do daily specials. My favorite part is that they are open late. I get off at 2am and they have been there and got me hooked up for the late night eats. I wish the hours were a bit more clear but I know it’s a 1-2 man show and they have lives. “It had been years since I have been to Longhorn and I feel really sad about not going back sooner because from the service to the food and the prices for the value you get are outstanding! One of the many steaks our group ordered was overcooked and they made it right… ASAP!! and the waitress said keep the overdone steak and have it with eggs in the morning. That is the way this restaurant does business. The manager came back to make sure the replacement steak was as expected and it was indeed perfect. Thank you, Longhorn! Yeeeeehawwwwww!!“

“Went to the Egg Crate for the very 1st time with my family. I ordered the chicken fried steak with fries and green beans. The service was excellent as my drink was always topped of by the gracious waitress. The biscuit was delicious, especially when I smothered it in butter and jelly! The chicken fried steak was perfectly crispy in the outside and perfectly tender on the outside. I especially loved the variety of sauces and dips from my fries! The meal was very filling as I ended up sharing my fries with my neices and nephews (as they were eagerly waiting for me to "throw in the towel" so they could gobble them up!) Along with the delicious food the atmosphere of the diner has a really cozy atmosphere with a lot of fun themed country style decor. I am looking forward to visiting the Egg Crate Cafe on my future visits from Colorado!“

“If you want sit, listen and watch local bands Jerry’s Bar and Grill is not for you. Due to the dance floor being right next to the low stage all you will see are people dancing. If dancing up close to the band is what you want then Jerry’s Bar and Grill is for you, and you will LOVE the place. This isn’t a bad review this just letting you know before you drop money on a cover charge that you won’t actually be able to see the band. Had I known that I would not be able to “see” the band, I would not have attended as I am not a dancer. I did have a good time “people watching.”“

“It really inspired me when Forrest Gump said, “Life is like a box or chocolates, you never know whatcha gonna get.” I’m a certified forklift operator and these guys asked me to drive them around on the forklift and they loved it so much that they bought their own forklift and it’s now sitting outside the restaurant. “The food was good. The workers were efficient. My order was accurate. The only detractor was the large amount of flies in every window sill. My wife sat down while the rest of us were ordering and she had to move to the interior of the room because of the flies. As I was sitting, another customer with a young boy sat in the window and moved immediately. I looked around the room and all window seating was vacant but a dozen interior booths had people. I can only assume everyone had the issue with flies. I saw a UV bug trap by the corner, but it was near the ceiling about six feet from the closest fly. The flies stayed at the windows so we did not have a problem once we changed to an interior booth.“
