“Cafe Shiraz is an absolute gem! My sister and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. First tempted by the beautiful pastries in the case, we ordered a baklava and an almond croissant. Then we turned to the menu and got the Breakfast Platter For Two. We took our seats in the cozy, bright cafe and ate our desserts first - unbelievably delicious! The baklava was flaky and delectable; the almond croissant was served warm which brought out the flavors of the buttery layers and sweet almond. Then came the breakfast platter! Life changing!!! This was essentially a charcuterie board of breakfast goodness, including fried eggs, ham, a bagel, feta cheese, butter, cream cheese, walnuts, honey, sliced veggies, strawberries, and lavash. We noshed on this wonderful concoction combining different flavors with each bite. Everything was fresh and delicious and the lavash was crispy and seasoned to perfection. In addition to the amazing food, the atmosphere is cozy and bright and the proprietor was extremely friendly. Located on the corner of Brownsboro Rd and William St, close to Mellwood, Cafe Shiraz is the perfect spot for a meal or snack before or after shopping at Mellwood Arts Center or Work the Metal, or walking around Nulu! A solid 5 stars!“

“Our family adopted Freyja ( the cat formally known as Madonna) from this great place. The staff was super friendly and helpful! The volunteer in the playroom was awesome as well. Freyja is one of the most loving and playful kittens we have had! She makes sure she cuddles with all 5 of us. When we are ready to add another member to the family we will definitely come here!“

“We were staying at the Brown Hotel and decided to have breakfast at the renowned J. Graham Café. While they offered a full buffet, we opted instead to order an omelette with orange juice. I thought the omelette was quite good, and I really enjoyed the ambiance. Like the rest of the Brown Hotel, the restaurant had a charming touch of English elegance that I greatly appreciated.“

“I absolutely love bagels. I ordered the Rooney on the Tomato Herb bagel and it was fantastic. It was full of flavor and not too crispy. Their bacon melts in your mouth. I ordered their seasonal apple latte and it also hit the spot. It was the perfect amount of sweet without being too overpowering. I tried my friend's blueberry coffee cake. It was delicious and very soft. It was definitely big enough to split or save for later. The place is spacious and offers many seats to work alone or meet with others. The workers were helpful and friendly. It was pretty busy and we didn't have to wait very long for our orders.

Wheelchair accessibility: I brought my baby in a stroller with no issues. There was a ramp to get in and plenty of space to stroll through.“

“These are some of the best tacos we have had in KY. We live in Lexington, so we make sure to stop by for some tacos whenever we go to Louisville. Their Aguas frescas(natural flavored waters) are really good too, this last time I got pineapple and my husband got mango. Both were awesome. “I was in the downtown area on a Saturday morning. While waiting for an office to open, I did a Yelp search for a breakfast hot spot nearby and came across Founders Cafe. I walked in with my family and was immediately impressed with the trendy ambiance. This place has a surprisingly nice menu to choose from considering it is a cafe. There are a number of breakfast sandwiches and paninis to choose from and they all seem so tasty! I decided to order a breakfast burrito and was pleased. It had fresh roasted peppers and onions, which gave it a nice kick. Next time I'm in the downtown area, I'll be sure to try their coffee options.“

“Glow Worm is one of my 3.5 year old's favorite places to visit. He constantly wants to go to "the play cafe" for treats and play time and I have to patiently explain when he asks last minute that we have to make a reservation. My almost 2 year old loves it just as much as is always trying to keep up with the big kids. All the toys are safe for him, as long as he is watched when climbing. The bigger kids tend to be very loving with him as well, which of course isn't GW's job to supervise but great that it sets that kind of tone and environment. I do appreciate that the riding toys and things with wheels are no longer in the main play area -- they seemed to create fights and injuries with the bigger kids. I love that they pay attention to and acclimate to the needs and safety of their clients constantly!“

“The cold brew is very good and they carry Blue Dog eats, both sweet and savory. Unfortunately, espresso-tonics are not currently offered here, but that's not abig deal. (Though, espresso-tonics are arguably the best coffee drinks for hot weather, which is definitely on its way.) My experience here was quite nice and I plan on returning.

The most impressive attribute of this place is its capaciousness. They have ample street level and second story seating, including both a street level patio and a balcony patio. The second story space even has a screen and overhead projector. It would be perfect for small-to-medium sized business meetings.“

“The workers were very friendly and offered to help me take the food to my table. They paid attention to the instructions. The environment is really nice and a calm one not too noisy and most people in there are usually in meetings or on their devices from what I’ve seen. The first time I had their new blueberry lavender lemonade it was very acidic and sour and didn’t taste good but this time it was much better so definitely give it a try. The brownie had like something hard in it which me personally don’t like it could’ve been nuts or chocolate chips I’m not sure and it’s very “rich” in chocolate as well. Their bagel was delicious, but the brioche roll although it looks really nice from the outside tasted very plain.

Vegetarian options: My brother is vegan and has been able to customize and order vegan dishes from Panera bread.“
