“As sports bars go this place is great! The service is awesome. The Pizza is outstanding, and the wings are huge. But, if you are a Packer fan, the upstairs bar is the epitome of a Packer bar. The camaraderie... the cheers... the fanaticism... absolutely brilliant!“

“Let’s start with atmosphere. It was well kept with nice decor but I wouldn’t consider it fancy. We ordered the lebnah, liver mousse, and tuna tar tar. The mousse was the clear favorite out of the 3 amongst us. The tar tar was a bit over seasoned with chili or cumin. For the main, we got chicken shawarma and lamb meguez. They were quality and well cooked, but lacking that pop for the price. Overall, I would recommend this place to friends and family for its variety and ethnic background. However, it is a bit pricey.“

“If you’re looking for an authentic taste of India in a warm and inviting atmosphere, Shalimar Indian Restaurant is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant decor and the spicy aroma wafting through the air set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.
The menu is extensive, offering a delightful array of traditional dishes that cater to both carnivores and vegetarians alike. We started with the samosas, which were perfectly crisp on the outside with a flavorful spiced potato filling that left us eager for more. For the main course, we opted for the butter chicken and the paneer tikka masala, both of which were rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. The naan was freshly made – fluffy and perfect for scooping up the delicious sauces.
What really stood out was the attentive service. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations based on our taste preferences. The overall atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or a special occasion.
Don’t forget to try their mango lassi for a refreshing complement to your meal! Overall, Shalimar Indian Restaurant exceeded our expectations and I can’t wait to return to explore more of their offerings. Highly recommended for anyone craving a true Indian culinary experience!“

“Anytime my wife and I get a chance to have a meal in Louisville we go for Havana Rumba (we are more than two hours away). The food is great, portions are huge, service is always really good. We went a little early for dinner so there was no wait for being seated and food arrived fast.“

“I have had several of the Middle Eastern menu items multiple times. Without a doubt it’s one of the best places here in Louisville. If not the best. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are healthy. I need to try some of the Italian dishes. The owner used to work in a top rated Italian restaurant for 17 years.“

“We went for devour. We got the elite corn fritters for our app. They were not good. They used way too much tajin flavoring and it overpowered them. For our mains we got the bbq Mac and cheese which was very good and the torta. The torta beef was so tough. The fries were good. For dessert we got the donuts and they were delicious. Overall, the food was disappointing to us. It's a nice place to have a cider though.“

“We always enjoy our experiences at Volare’. Fresh seafood dishes flown in each Friday for another one of their exquisite seafood entree’s. Large portions are in order and our favorites are the steak with bourbon glaze and salmon with a hot pepper sauce. Don’t forget to order their decadent desserts, even if you take it to go. Caring staff that make certain that your visit is flawless.“
“The tour of the Michter’s Fort Nelson facility was informative and the tour guide was insightful and engaging. The tasting was enlightening because I wasn’t really a rye whisky person but after trying Michter’s Rye I was sold! I appreciated the veteran tour discount. My only disappointment was purchasing the limited edition barrel strength rye for $119+tax. I was excited to get my hands on this limited release. Unfortunately four hours later I found the same bottle at Krogers in Buckner for $85. So the gift shop charged 40% more than Krogers and I could have purchased four of them! I did buy two more as gifts. Disappointed that the Michter’s gift shop take advantage of their loyal customers by marking up their product so much yet sell to Krogers at a minimum of 40% less.“

“This place is a 10/10! The atmosphere and staff were AMAZING!! We came to Louisville for the day to find my wedding dress. After I said yes to the dress we decided to try Mussel and Burger Bar! They made my day 1000x extra special, took care of my food and drinks, and even gave me a platter of desserts to try! We are coming back to Louisville for my bachelorette and we will definitely be visiting this place again! The seafood burger was also delicious!“

“My husband and I recently traveled from Colorado to Kentucky with our good friends. We all agree that this was the best overall tasting experience. Our tour guide, Alex, was so knowledgeable and personable. We appreciated the history of the distillery, the family atmosphere, and we even had the pleasure of meeting Corky. I'm not typically a bourbon drinker but they provided some of the best bourbon I tried all week. Highly recommend adding this distillery to your list - you won't be disappointed.“

“It's rare that we have a date night on a weekday with two young children, but tonight was the exception. When I realized our anniversary was falling on a Wednesday, Perso was the first place that came to mind. Perso's Prix Fixe Menú is available every Sunday through Wednesday and offers a three course meal for $29. It's no secret that I'm a fine dining enthusiast; but who doesn't love a bargain? If you're looking for a nice night out without breaking the bank, this is your spot. Perso sits at the corner of Oak and Shelby in the same location as the former Square Cut Pizza. The giant windows in the front provide an abundance of natural light. The interior has a modern industrial vibe with painted exposed brick, plants, and Edison bulbs hanging on pendants. One wall with wooden slats gives a Scandinavian feel to the main dining area. It's a small-ish intimate space with a beautiful patio. For my first course, I chose Crostino Di Tonno- olive oil poached tuna, stracciatella, pickled celery, and Calabrian chili. I followed my first course with olive oil poached swordfish, corn chowder, and golden zucchini scapece. For dessert, I had the chef's choice: apple strudel with whipped cream cheese. My husband chose heirloom tomato with roasted eggplant, bagna couda, and fine herbs. For his main course, he had pork tenderloin with edamame, beef dashi, and fine herbs. We both opted for the chef's choice for dessert. I tasted each of his courses and they were every bit as delicious as my own. The edamame provided the perfect texture and his tenderloin dashi tasted gravy-esque without being overly heavy. Mostly notable, besides the insane deal for such decadence, was the fresh flavor combinations throughout. Our table had fresh rosemary as a centerpiece. The corn chowder was right up my alley. I could've licked my bowl if I wasn't trying to pretend to have a bit of class. The swordfish was tender, juicy, and not overly fishy. The tuna flatbread was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The mint on top of my whipped cream cheese truly set it apart. My lavender Manhattan was earthy and smoky, not just in flavor. It was literally smoking. My husband had an old-fashioned. Neither of us were disappointed. Our server, Amanda, was phenomenal. She offered recommendations. She visited our table to ensure we were satisfied the perfect number of times. Her warm demeanor was professional while also being personable. She was everything we hope for in a server. Perso's Sunday through Wednesday Prix Fixe Menú is hands-down one of the best opportunities for an affordable night out. That being said, once you get a taste of what they have to offer, you'll be sold on splurging any day of the week.“

“My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of doing the Bottle Your Own Bourbon experience at Angel’s Envy—and it was nothing short of amazing! From start to finish, the experience was incredibly immersive, fun, and memorable.
We were lucky enough to have Jeff as our distiller guardian, and he truly made our visit exceptional. Jeff was knowledgeable, passionate, and made the entire process so enjoyable. His enthusiasm and expertise elevated the experience and made us feel completely at home. We can’t say enough good things about him!
Getting to fill our own bottle straight from the barrel was such a unique and special moment—we'll treasure it (and the bourbon!) for a long time.
We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Louisville or anyone who loves bourbon. It’s a must-do!“
“Just had a wonderful flight of fantastic bourbon and amazing conversation with Willow and Josh! What a fun place and a cool vibe at the bar! The bourbon selection is great- I highly recommend trying several and then taking them home! I’ll definitely be back again.“

“We were staying at the Brown Hotel and decided to have breakfast at the renowned J. Graham Café. While they offered a full buffet, we opted instead to order an omelette with orange juice. I thought the omelette was quite good, and I really enjoyed the ambiance. Like the rest of the Brown Hotel, the restaurant had a charming touch of English elegance that I greatly appreciated.“

“Bourbons Bistro has long been a favorite, and we had another great experience. It was date night, and we started with drinks at the bar. I enjoyed a Manhattan, and my date enjoyed an Old Fashioned. Both were nicely crafted. We were seated immediately at our table for our reservation time, and started with the goat cheese dip. It was flavorful, the consistency of the dip was perfect, and the toasted bread was done just right. For dinner I had the filet of beef, medium rare. My steak was cooked to perfection, and the fingerling potatoes were seasoned just right. My date enjoyed the Bourbons Chop, also cooked to perfection, and he stated the haricots verts was the best he ever had. Our server was great, and we enjoyed an amazing meal. Afterwards we moved back to the bar and enjoyed a couple of drinks provided by the Blue Run distiller bar take over. We had a great night out and Bourbons remains one of my favorite restaurants.“
