“Elsie’s is a favorite of mine so it was a no brainer to go there for my birthday back in March. It was the first time for my boyfriend, who’s from Kenner, and he was throughly impressed. We got the red bean hummus and crawfish queso to start because I think EVERY MEAL should start with those two. The entrees were delectable as always and to top it all off, they had my all time favorite pie in the case. We took home a whole chocolate pecan pie because who needs birthday cake when you can have birthday pie?!?! All in all, a perfect evening at Elsie’s as always.“
“Very cool and unique restaurant! They have so many interesting and quite unusual meals & drinks. All the staff is amazing, our server Leigh was a delight and she also shared tips for fine dining in New Orleans. We've had frittata with salad and miso salmon. Don't skip desserts! The chocolate sorbet is rich and savory.“
“Excellent!!! ordered Thanksgiving dinner ( Fried turkey, cornbread dressing and sweet potato casserole)...I usually cook all this but chose to order out this time.....WOW was I surprised.....it was all AMAZING. PERFECT...I may never cook Thanksgiving again. Thank you to the cooks at Frank's, you are exceptional.“
“Maybe I came At the Wrong time. But my beans were cold .. It was not the sonny's Im used to. Dang. But Maybe It will be better another time. I ate here before the flood and it was great.. Finally I was In Jacksonville Florida 2 years ago. There BBQ was great.. .. Hope the Next Experience is better......“
“Fine dining at its best! Stop in and enjoy seafood and steaks cooked to perfection, or you can choose any way you would like it prepared. Everything is alacart, so the combinations are endless. Overall, the experience from start to finish was superb!“
“OBSCURE / HIDDEN GEM! The atmosphere is no frills offering good food. Ms. Evelyn (I hope I got her name right) brings her skills and talent to work with her EVERYDAY this place is open for business. The food never disappoints. From the delicious fried chicken, fried catfish, red beans & rice, white beans (all beans served with whole sausage links) potato salad, macaroni cheese, peas, & much more! They have dessert and each meal comes with a corn muffin and tea. ONLY open weekdays from 11am to 2 pm. Very popular with the locals. That being said you will run into a crowd, DAILY. Well worth it! There are small areas indoors for eating but most get their food to go. They post Daily lunch menus on FACEBOOK. Check it out for accuracy. Will post pics of the full plates of food when another order is placed.“
“This isn't the place to go for a romantic meal. This is where you go to get GREAT food and go home. HUGE portions!Parking: Get in where you fit in. Don't make the mistake of thinking you can order in the drive-thru, because it's for pickup.Kid-friendliness: Nah, too busy and small for kids to roam around.“
“This place was really nice. Nothing fancy. Reminded me of the old mom and pops pla es I used to go to in New Orleans as a kid. Food was great and the staff was helpful and pleasant. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good home-cooked meal.“
“Great neighborhood bar. Cold beer. Pool tables. Intermittent live entertainment(except for the locals who drink there- that's entertaining every night) Great homemeade burgers on Monday nights. Great owner who cares about his business AND the patrons who keep his business successful.“
“There Hasn’t been anything there that I have tried that isn’t fantastic. BUT,the turtle king cake, knocked us out at Cou Yons bbq today!! It was so moist and not Uber sweet like some at other restaurants. If you’ve never been,RUN!! We love them here at Cou Yons!!“
“The food here was amazing! My husband had the red beans and rice with pork chop and I had the hamburger steak with mashed, gravy and onions. As truck drivers we have traveled all over the US trying out different truck stop diners, this one is simply the best! Not to mention everyone is super friendly!“
“What a great addition to Central! The only thing I've tried so far was DELICIOUS. I had the "Turkey Spin Art Melt," which was a perfectly buttered and toasted sandwich with warm creamy spinach-artichoke dip, sliced turkey, caramelized onions, and fresh tomato. So. Good. I was surprised! I thought "The Hausse" was a coffee shop, but they have so much more--cocktails, specialty coffee, and food that can compete with (and beat!) most restaurants. Their menu sounds fantastic with so many choices that would please anyone...breakfast, salads, sandwiches, etc). This place is GREAT for families with small kids, as there's a SEPARATE indoor playing area, so others can still dine and sip their coffee in peace. It's a win-win for everyone. Overall, the place is clean and beautiful. I came for the play area for my daughter, but I will be back for the food, ha!“
“Just had Chicken Shack on Acadian for the first time, after my daughter kept raving about it. I got the chicken dinner with red beans and rice and the mustard greens. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to eat chicken from any place else again. They’ve gotten their recipes down pat. I wish I could have had an entire pint of the greens alone!“
“Stopped here for dinner one evening when I came to town for work. Sat at the bar & had a really great conversation with the bartender who shared some local insight and a phenomenal dinner. The spoon bread is delicious! Highly recommend!“
“Ate there for the first time recently. Everything about the place was excellent! Quality food! Quality service! And great atmosphere..lightimg perfect..tables not too close together like some places..very cozy! Oh did i mention the food! Better than u will find at most other high end restaurants! Everything we ordered was exceptional!!“
“I was a constant player at the Hollywood Casino and I cannot tell you how impressed I am by The Queen. It’s so beautiful and clean inside, the staff is super friendly and helpful. I played a new game called Cajun stud, not knowing what I was doing and not only were the players helpful but so were the dealers and the Pit Boss. It made my experience so much better with people helping me with the new game. I will be back.“
“SMS Market, If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would. The ppl are very friendly the food is always fresh.. This place is awesome the seafood and boil meat is cooked to perfection. It has the very genuine and authentic taste. They have Reasonable realistic pricing on their merchandise as well. If you’re looking for some great pricing great product and awesome food I highly recommend this market they will definitely exceed your expectations. This place is great!!!“
“It's been a long time since I've been here and the food has always been amazing. Everything was hot and fresh. The grits were really good and the fish was crispy. The French toast and the chicken wings were amazing as well. One person shouldn't eat this much food but I was stuffed and happy. I hid in the car so I didn't have to share. There is a bit of wait bits it's worth it. You can either wait in the car or sit in the sitting area they have provided.“
“The Blackened Shrimp Caesar Salad & Chicken Rena Sandwich were fantastic! This was a great place to grab a quick bite on the road! The owner was great to chat with and there was even a porch with tables so you didn't have to eat in the car. 10/10 recommendation!“
“This is definitely the 'after church' spot on Sundays. We were told the wait would be 20 minutes, that turned into she forgot about us, but we didn't let that ruin our mood. Finally got a table, placed our order and waited 50 minutes before our food came out, now that didn't make us too happy. They were busy, we get it, but it's not cool to keep forgetting about your customers. We enjoyed our meal, paid our bill, tipped our waiter, and got out of there. No complaints about our food.“
“We luckily ran across this place right before getting on I 10 west heading home on Sunday after thanksgiving. We will go out of way to go next time we go east. Great food and serviceOur waitress patiently helped we 2 seniors choose from the menu and checked back twice to make sure we liked it.“
“Swore off Zachary Waffle House when it first opened because our waitress was bullied by other waitresses, causing our order to keep being pushed back to end of line of waitresses lined up to present orders to cooks. However, no other restaurants in Zachary serving breakfast so decided to try it again.Old system of getting order placed with kitchen changed, so we were served promptly and food served hot.Waitress pleasant and efficient.Crying baby not pleasant, but, after all, is Waffle House and seated elbow to elbow (next to nice couple).“
“Love the building! It's an old bank that's been renovated, but still retains the art deco design and feel, including the original murals. The food was great and we really enjoyed our evening before the convenient, short walk to the Manship Theatre.“
“I've been here five times now and the food is amazing! There are no tables to eat in and the ambiance is that of the main restaurant area being storage along the walls for drinks, hence the four stars. Outside of that, the food is a great value for the money! I get the chicken salad and honestly, the fried or grilled chicken salad is a good bet on any day. And they have pigtails! Win-win.“
“Amazing - their food is always fabulous and at very reasonable prices. Crawfish etoufee, shrimp stew, fish, poboys, and hamburgers are especially great. Always friendly & quick service. Strongly recommend, you will be pleasantly surprised.“
“Do not let the humble exterior appearance of the place deceive you; I almost didn’t stop here because of that, but I am glad I did because that was the best meal I have had in a month. I almost felt skeptical about the hamburger stake, but man was it delicious, it was just so well salted and the condiments delicately balanced. Plenty of it is severed at a great price under 15, and you might even need a to go box.“
“Had dinner with family from out of town around 4 in the evening. There were 10 of us in all and they were quick to accommodate us all. Our server was T. A., and he did a really great job. His attentiveness towards ensuring we had a great dining experience was superb!Vegetarian options: Fried Catfish ?!Brisket & Pulled Pork combo, lawd have mercy it was Good y'all!!“
“I have been eating at Piccadilly since I was a child and this chopped steak has had me on lock for at least 25 years. It's literally the only thing I eat no matter which Piccadilly location I may be visiting. This chopped steak slaps. I visited this location for lunch last week and I cleaned my plate. I got the large chopped steak meal, the rice was counted as a side. I had to choose another but ended up buying an extra side anyways. If your grown get some onions because I forgot. Of course to be sure to get extra gravy if your eating it with rice. Carrot soufflé has ALWAYS been my go to side and it tasted amazing. I added the squash and zucchini and as the extra side and it was good good! I love great tasting vegetables and this hit it on the nail. The food was fresh, I enjoyed my lunch that day. The total was about 16$ with my extra side and I would pay for that every time cause it was just that good. Don't forget you to grab you some ketchup if your like me and I could see A1 being good on this even though I haven't tried. You also have a choice of a roll or cornbread. The rolls are pretty good in my opinion. I could imagine with butter and honey it would be fantastic. The To go staff here was nice, smiling, and happy. They accept tap and pay which was great because I forgot my card and still was able to eat. Of course food here isn't going to be seasoned down bad but it's far from bland. If you need extra those salt and pepper packets provided should do the trick.“
“The food and service is good. Now, the atmosphere truly depends on the time of day you go. Throughout the morning and day the atmosphere is great after about 11 pm til about 6:30 in the a.m. the atmosphere is loud and questionable. Its people leaving the bar who are drunk and trying to sober up so the crowds tend to get loud. The workers handle things with ease and keep things flowing calmly but due to customer base that time of time is what leaves it questionable. As for vegetarian or vegan options I am not knowledgeable enough on these dietary choices to properly answer these queations.Wheelchair accessibility: They do have handicap parking and the ramp to get into the restaurant however the dining area is so small that it is doable but will take patience and time maneuver through to get to a handicap accessible table.“
