I will go back just to sit and chat with Amber. As a regional manager for a restaurant group, I was impressed all around with her attentiveness that close to close. As a younger female no one ever speaks to me besides to take my order and she got to know me and made me feel welcome! She’s sweet as can be, I wish her all the best!“

“My first time here at J.Alexander's. So worth the trip from Lafayette. My entire meal has been remarkable. I ordered the red wine blend Parradoxx, which had a slight Pinot Nior flavor to it. I ordered a house salad with Blue Cheese dressing which was rich and full of woodsy flavors. My salad was a big hit with me. Vegetables were crisp and served with beautiful presentation. I ordered the Filet with Berinaise sauce and baked potatoe. It was cooked so perfectly that it was truly a work of art. For dessert I got the chocolate cake. I am not usually a chocolate fan at all but this did not disappoint!! The rich cocoa blended perfectly with the vanilla ice cream. Now for the service... my waiter, Ali, was so good. His knowledge of the menu was very good, but his quiet professionalism was undeniable. He checked all the boxes as to dressings and preparation, but he additionally checked for how and when you wanted everything served. Ali, eyes were constantly scanning to be certain that my meal and needs were being met. Now, I don't know anything about Ali, except that he was young, but he could have been at home in the finest restaurants in Chicago! His attention to detail made my incredible lunch even more spectacular! An incredible meal, prepared exquisitely, with a waiter like Ali! Just absolutely perfect!“

“Went for a 4 po-boy takeout and a 5 piece wings . They were very helpful and called me before to verify an item and order was ready before I got there and service was great. Softshell poboy was perfectly cooked and delicious . The cochon de lait was fabulous and the buffalo chicken sandwich was excellent.

My two gripes for the 4 star were the wings were tiny and I like big wings if I'm gonna spend that much . Second gripe is if I spend $100 on an orderr and tip you could throw me a french fries in there as none of the poboys come witth fries.“

“We stopped here on our girls trip and this place is Awesome! We ordered the biggest platters they had and some small ones. You can create your own platter which is my favorite part. This place did not disappoint. The guy behind the counter was so friendly and nice. You won’t be disappointed if you’re a seafood lover. You can sit inside or outside. We loved both. The decor was very pleasant throughout. We are definitely going back when we pass through again.“

“Awesome people and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. We picked up 15lbs of live crawfish at 12:30 in the afternoon and got home to clean them and prepare for a boil at 430. We noticed a few were dead and called and they let us know to wait and see if they wake up from being on ice. When we went to boil at 3 we noticed even more not moving and potentially dead. We brought them back and they kindly swapped it out for new crawfish. I appreciate them taking the time to show us a crawfish after being on ice and being kind to us and replacing them! Crawfish were amazing in size!“

“Being from Florida this was my first time experiencing the restaurant. It was recommended by friends and I must say it was a great experience. My family and I had a variety of dishes. I had the boudin egg roll which were delicious along with the Shrimp jambalaya.My wife had the chicken club and red beans and rice which are outstanding. My mother had the catfish and shrimp plate which is huge portions. The adult drinks are great with a huge selection. If I get the opportunity to visit I will definitely make a stop back. Love the atmosphere during football season although I’m not a Saints fan lol. But highly recommend giving this place a try.“
