“We were traveling from TX to NC on the I-20 and wanted to find somewhere to eat that gave us a taste of the Louisiana culture! We decided to stop here and enjoyed every second! The service was great. Very friendly staff. The food was even better! We got half & half fried and blackened swamp bites (gator tail) and steaks that were so flavorful and juicy (mine topped with shrimp) and loaded baked potatoes. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area!“

“I was passing through the area and stopped for some fried livers. I didn’t want much, and the gentleman behind the counter was very accommodating. I ordered half a pound with ketchup and a hot pepper. They were great! Next time, two fried fish and two stuffed shrimp! 😁“

The people on the phone are unfamiliar with the menu. Ordered tonight. Dissatisfied. Lost money because I didn’t get what I ordered.“

“Driving from Texas and stopped here for ettouffe. It was really good and had different sea food options and meals for kids as well. Very reasonable prices. Michael had the best attitude and his service was exceptional. The place is pretty outside and inside, looks clean, even the restrooms were really nice.“

“We had a special Christmas dinner with our son, DIL & grandkids at 2 John’s. We had reservations, but had to wait for a table to open. John, one of the owners came out and apologized and offered us drinks. We’ve eaten there a few times, and once again, the service, food and overall experience was AMAZING! We highly recommend 2 John’s for anyone looking for a great dining experience and fantastic food! Highly recommend!“

“They have fabulous prepared food! steak wraps, boudin balls, chicken wings, etc! The chicken cracklins are unreal! and while you're there, go ahead and pick up some of the marinated skirt steak. you'll thank me later!“

I went to get a quick bite after a Dr visit and went to order something from the grilled menu. they had cut it down to chicken and salmon for the only options and didn't have all the sides they used to have. Got the hamburger steak 🤢.I opened it after getting home and didn't dare eat it. You shouldn't allow any food that looks like this off the food line to go in customers hands. I also didn't get 2 sides I paid for. Will NOT be coming back.“

“Just got done eating here for the first time. Monzon’s just became our favorite Mexican restaurant. Food was delicious. Staff couldn’t have been nicer or more attentive. Here’s a tip. Turn down that 2nd dish off chips. The portions are large and you won’t have room. I am walking out taking home half my order.“

“I've loved Drago's since I accidentally wandered into the the Hilton Riverside location in downtown New Orleans. Now we have our very own in Shreveport, LA! The first time I had them my friend told me that the charbroiled oysters would change my life and no lie has been detected!!! If you're in the area please stop in and enjoy all they have to offer. But only if you're ready for your life to change for the better! It comes with toasted French bread to soak up all the butter and delicious seasonings. Not spicy. Unless you add Louisiana hot sauce but it's just right. You're welcome. :-)“

“I arrived at 7:15- and the place was pretty slow.. got a corner booth and waited for the server. Chips and salsa arrived . Chips were fresh and salsa had great flavors. Needed heat. Enjoyed a coronarita ($10) and Beef with shrimp fajitas. Expect an up charge for 1.50 on beef items. The fajitas ($18) were also flavorful, but lacked heat. So I ordered a whole roasted jalapeño ($0.60) anndddddd....... you guessed it. Needed more spice. My server was pleasant and made sure that I had everything I needed. All in all an enjoyable experience. $30- Plus tip & will feed me 2 more times.“

“I've been going for more than 13 years now. The steaks are by far the best I've ever had! The staff are excellent especially one in particular named Marcus. He's been there for as long as I've been going always goes above and beyond. He always has a smile and makes sure everyone is satisfied with their meals. I would recommend saltgrass for anyone looking for delicious dinner and warm and welcoming staff.“
