“Found this restaurant on the Arlington Foodies FB page, I’m upset with myself for waiting so long to try this restaurant out! The food is amazingly delicious! Everything was made to order, fish, shrimp fries and hush puppies were piping hot. There was so much flavor in every bite. I ordered the 2 whole catfish with a side salad and coleslaw the salad was so fresh. You could tell it was also prepared at the time of order, tomatoes weren’t water logged or soggy. My husband ordered fish and shrimp with hush puppies and fries, everything was well seasoned & delicious. For dessert we shared the peanut butter cake, it was the perfect amount of sweet. The family that runs it was so kind and friendly. The service they provided just made me love this spot even more, not to mention the owner brought out a basket of fresh gizzards after hearing me mention how excited I was to see gizzards on the menu. This will be our new seafood spot! Oh and whatever they dust the food with is amazing, it needs to be bottled and sold lol“

“Family style restaurant, order first, find a table, then food will come to you. Jambalaya is a bit salty, but the portion is generous. The crawfish pie does not have much filling, but the crust is good. Chicken Sausage Gumbo is just alright. However, I really enjoy the cornbread.“

“We had a special Christmas dinner with our son, DIL & grandkids at 2 John’s. We had reservations, but had to wait for a table to open. John, one of the owners came out and apologized and offered us drinks. We’ve eaten there a few times, and once again, the service, food and overall experience was AMAZING! We highly recommend 2 John’s for anyone looking for a great dining experience and fantastic food! Highly recommend!“

“I arrived at 7:15- and the place was pretty slow.. got a corner booth and waited for the server. Chips and salsa arrived . Chips were fresh and salsa had great flavors. Needed heat. Enjoyed a coronarita ($10) and Beef with shrimp fajitas. Expect an up charge for 1.50 on beef items. The fajitas ($18) were also flavorful, but lacked heat. So I ordered a whole roasted jalapeño ($0.60) anndddddd....... you guessed it. Needed more spice. My server was pleasant and made sure that I had everything I needed. All in all an enjoyable experience. $30- Plus tip & will feed me 2 more times.“

“I've been going for more than 13 years now. The steaks are by far the best I've ever had! The staff are excellent especially one in particular named Marcus. He's been there for as long as I've been going always goes above and beyond. He always has a smile and makes sure everyone is satisfied with their meals. I would recommend saltgrass for anyone looking for delicious dinner and warm and welcoming staff.“
