“Went to Cork's for Mother's Day supper...YUM 😋! It was the best tasting, crispy, freshest fried seafood around! The fries were hot, crisp and awesome, too! Cork's is right up there with top notch restaurants, but at much less the cost. The staff was extremely friendly and the venue was neat.We will be back...OFTEN! ♥“

“Our friends from Baton Rouge brought us an Australian couple to Parrain for some authentic Cajun seafood. I'd been recommended to try catfish and it did not disappoint. So fresh and tasty, accompanied with shrimp, that was also crispy and fried to perfection. My husband had the New Orleans BBQ shrimp, but was unsure of the spicyness of the sauce, so a sample was brought out for him to try before he ordered, he said it was delicious.“

The staff are so friendly. I NEVER pass up a chance to eat at Shack 16 and I live south of I-12. Would definitely recommend Shack 16. 5 stars!!“

“I recently had the pleasure of picking food from Rocco's in Baton Rouge, where I indulged in their outstanding shrimp po-boy. The po-boy was generously filled with the perfect amount of fresh Gulf shrimp, which were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The bread added a delightful texture and authenticity to the dish, truly capturing the essence of a New Orleans-style po-boy.

What truly elevated the experience was the addition of fried jalapenos to the po-boy. The spicy kick complemented the richness of the shrimp beautifully, creating a delightful combination of flavors and textures with each bite. My husband summed it up perfectly: "There was nothing wrong with this po-boy," which translates to it being absolutely fabulous. “Willie’s has been a favorite since they were a little hole in the wall in Industiplex. I was so disappointed Friday to order crawfish and get 3 pounds of tiny crawfish that peeled and tasted like they had been boiled the day before and reheated. Plus when the crawfish were gone there were enough tiny claws to cover the bottom of the tray. Come on guys, you can do better! Fried cheese logs are no longer logs. They have shrunk in size but not price. Really disappointing…new management? Not sure but won’t go back for crawfish, that’s for sure!“

“The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. Fantastic table side service, beautiful ambiance and excellent master chef food.“

“Great Hamburgers and PoBoys. We have tried them both and they are outstanding, flavorful and fully dressed to order. The star item for us, when in season, are the crawfish! Beyond doubt, the BEST in the entire Baton Rouge area. They are delicious and precisely cooked and spiced. We drive from Gonzales weekly to get their terrific crawfish. Mike and Jack are friendly hosts and put their customer's satisfaction first.“

“Awesome people and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. We picked up 15lbs of live crawfish at 12:30 in the afternoon and got home to clean them and prepare for a boil at 430. We noticed a few were dead and called and they let us know to wait and see if they wake up from being on ice. When we went to boil at 3 we noticed even more not moving and potentially dead. We brought them back and they kindly swapped it out for new crawfish. I appreciate them taking the time to show us a crawfish after being on ice and being kind to us and replacing them! Crawfish were amazing in size!“

“Food was excellent- we asked for ‘hot’ for our shrimp boil special and we got it! Yum! I think our waiter was new but he did OK. The hours said they are open until 10pm but for some reason they closed the bar at 9:15pm??! So we didn’t get the drink I ordered but the manager gave us a free sample of some frozen drink they had in a mixer that didn’t require a bar tender to make.

“The food was amazing. Popcorn shrimp and shrimp fried rice both come generously proportioned. The fish strips nearly fall apart in your mouth, lightly battered, crisp outside n jucy center.. so delicious, you could say they are cooked to perfection. However, the actual size of each strip the fish is cut into...rather small. Nonetheless still 100% pleased with my purcase, if i HAD to come up with a food related aspect to complain about, the size of the catfish strips is honestly all I could come up with. On the other hand if we are speaking on service, the cashier wasn't of much help, After voicing outloud it was my first time trying Johns i expected some sort of suggestion or recommendation however I barely even got a response from the young lady whom looked up from her phone only for a brief moment which is when she handed me a print out version of the menu I was point at when I was attempting to ask a question about the menu.. but all together I was pleased and will be coming back!!

“The best little seafood shop scenic highway scenic highway seafood they got the best of everything and they sell chitlins too or I went there and laid there and got me some of them good red beans and rice and fried chicken and cornbread cornbread taste like cake and baby did I eat I usually eat that much but I ate that whole plate they have some good food I'm planning on going there tomorrow to get me some more of that good food so talk to you later go there and try it scenic seafood.“
