“Literally my favorite Chinese spot. I live far from this restaurant, but idc I’ll pay the extra mileage doordash fees everytime. Their kung bo beef is divine, the beef is super tender and the flavor’s all there. The perfect amount of heat. It’s always fresh and affordable. My go to.“

“This day, I found some of the selections were overcooked. Shrimp is very difficult to peel, but when Over cooked even more so. The meat sticks to the shell like skin and falls apart. The meat is soggy and still eatable but not as enjoyable.“

“A solid choice if you are looking for authentic Hong Kong style cuisine! Some of my favorite dishes include the Wonton Noodle Soup, Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings, Chicken Lettuce Wrap, and Beef Chow Fun. The owner is super friendly! If you're familiar with Hong Minh Restaurant, it's the same family. The owner mentioned that he was planning on expanding to include his family's popular roasted duck, pork and chicken, but didn't give a specific timetable. If that's what you are looking for, make sure you call ahead and see if it's on their menu yet.“

“My favorite cheap Chinese take out spot in Nola. Sketchy parking lot, full of “local flavor”! Take your food and run away! I always order before I pick up, get in and get out! It’s a legit American version Chinese food place. Not cuisine, but still very good. I get Kung Pao chicken a lot and I am always happy with the what they serve up.
They always have the food ready when I arrive. If you’re looking for a new drug dealer, out front is a great spot to find a hook up.
I feel a little bad for the people working here because they’re fairly pleasant considering how much street hassle they probably have to deal with everyday.
Good place to go if you’re bored and want to appreciate how chill your life is!“

“This place is definitely improved. If you stayed away from it because you didn't like the old Chinese Tea Garden, give them another chance. They have an all you can eat menu at 25.99! You can't beat that. Also they have the best sushi in this part of town.“

“China Doll is one of my favorite spots for Chinese food! The menu has a great selection, but the star of the show for me is definitely the cho-chos. They’re flavorful, tender, and perfectly seasoned every time. The portion sizes are generous, and the service is quick and friendly. It’s a cozy spot that feels like a hidden gem. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, China Doll never disappoints. If you're craving delicious and satisfying Chinese food, especially cho-chos, this is the place to be! Highly recommend!“

“I have to order the greatest crunchy wings, which are always hot and fresh, whenever I visit NOLA. I once had a cordial encounter with one of the owners and asked him how they managed to make the chicken so crunchy. He claimed that the sort of flour and grease—without giving any brand names—are what makes anything delicious.“

“Now you can’t complain solely about the food due to the price and the portion! I appreciate the fact the food is always hot, fresh and deliciously prepared quickly! I have ordered here numerous times and the only thing I could say is that the rice is always too hard and too much ?. I always substitute shrimp fried rice for my combination plates and a shrimp egg roll in place of the original. I also wonder why it’s never that real shrimp fried rice either like with the fried eggs mixed in it ??? lol, but I usually wind up throwing half of my plate away due to it being the hard imitation fried rice. Overall I like them a lot and they always taste ? good. I recommend the wontons crab Rangoon fresh fresh! Omg ? they are so delicious! I always order the shrimp and broccoli with shrimp fried rice and shrimp and lobster sauce for my boyfriend!“

“By far the best wonton soup in all of New Orleans. Wontons are handmade and bursting with flavor. Broth is flavorful and not too salty. Greens in there are perfectly cooked. That said not everything here is equally good. The roast pork looks better than it tasted -- didn't have much of a bark / crust on it. And the fried rice that came with the lunch special tasted stale. I've been here many times -- their Singapore Mai Fun is great as are all their green vegetable dishes.“

“Everything you'd expect from a solid Chinese restaurant in New Orleans. They have all the classics and favorites, the sauces are very consistent and the service is always nice. They offer tofu dishes and let me change the sauce for variety. Delivery fee is very affordable, always arrives promptly, and they're good about following delivery instructions. I've never been disappointed, it's my go-to spot in mid city. The general tso and orange sauce is on point!
Vegetarian options: Consistently good fried tofu. I get the general tso tofu and I'm happy every time.
Dietary restrictions: Enough vegetarian and pescetarian options to get dinner for the entire group.
Parking: There are very limited parking spots on the street, some people park in the smoothie king lot but it gets really congested with people who don't know how to park.
Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to get inside, just an incline. There's a narrow hallway up to the counter.“

“This family owned restaurant just reopened their inside dining (summer 2024) after being take out/catering only for several years. We have been regulars since we moved here 3 years ago. The pho is our favorite- so flavorful! I also love the vermicelli noodle bowls and the hubs likes the orange chicken and general tso. This is our GO TO for tasty, affordable Asian food! And the portions are HUGE! I’ll try to add pics on a future visit, usually too hungry to remember!
Parking: This is a historic building in the French Quarter. It is typically difficult to find parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: This is a historic building in the French Quarter. Not wheel chair friendly unfortunately.“

The food was very delectable with the young man in the front putting extra sauce for me. Wok To Go was a very clean and nice restaurant to eat at. And lastly the food was very bussin.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcomed here with the man at the front taking care of them and giving them treats!“

“This was an amazing find. I was initially looking for a buffet but this is more an a La carte type of restaurant. The portion size was plenty as it could have fed three if not four people depending on your portion. Food came out quickly and food temperature. Even though they were closing within thirty to 49 minutes of me arriving they still served me and was excellent. Highly recommended for a person from out of town.
Parking: Plenty of parking.“

“Order here before anywhere else on the West Bank. We ordered pickup and everything we tried was amazing. We got the general tso, which was perfectly spiced and tasty. Fried rice was good. Orange chicken w/veggies was great. Not super crispy as it came in Styrofoam, but still excellent tasting and breading stayed on the chicken. It also came with an eggroll thay was very tasty/crispy. Crab Rangoons were perfect. On a whim we also got bbq chicken wings and fries. The fries were a little soggy bc of the styrofoam packaging but that was to be expected. The wings however... omg so good! Still crispy and flavor was on point. Great bbq sauce, nothing like your standard store bought flavor. Good prices, HUGE portions.
It's not really a dine-in place, there was maybe one table. But aside from that, this will be our new go-to for Chinese food!“

“Edit: as of July 16th 2023 still closed :(Super good. Good service. Always nice. But haven’t been open in weeks. There’s been a sign on the door for 3 weeks or maybe more that says 8/8/23 to 8/8/15. Idk what that means, I was there before the 23rd of July and it was closed. And then says closed for vacation. I hope they open back up soon because they are good but have tried to go many times and the sign is still up and a few months ago had to same thing. Very confusing as it says open online and the phone still rings and voicemail said open with the hours so have drove there for nothing.“

“Food is really good. Keep going back for more. I normally spend from $30-$80 when I order. Few complaints. They have an area where they have forks & sauces. But when I get my order I ask for hot sauce which they only give me 4 when I spend $80. The service is quick but everytime I order around $80 they always wait for me to pay to start getting the food ready which I understand.“

“The service is most excellent for a mall food court especially. The servers are always glad to see you and they give you free samples gladly and generously. The food offerings are about as varied as you would expect in a mall, maybe a little more. The vegetables are properly cooked, very fresh, and the servings they give you are very generous. Highly recommend.“

“I live in the neighborhood with my two daughters and we visit here pretty often. The couple who runs this place is very sweet & kind. This is the only place near here that I order fried food from because it always tastes like fresh grease. You know how sometimes you go to a place and order a shrimp po boy but you can taste all the chicken and fish that’s been fried in the same grease? Well the reason I love this place so much is that the grease always, always, ALWAYS tastes like your food was the only thing fried in it. It’s very clean. The couple has been watching my kids grow up (they were in elementary school when I first moved here and are headed to high school now) and always have the nicest things to say to us. The fried rice is very high quality. The seafood is seasoned like a black great uncle with Jesus sandals boiled it. (That’s gonna make sense to some of you lol) There’s an adult male who works sometimes who I’ve assumed is their son. He’s pretty easy on the eyes and doesn’t talk much, but I don’t see him too often. Upon exiting, make sure to PULL. Despite there being a sign that says ‘pull’ you’re gonna wanna push based on the way the door looks. That door has checked me plenty times lol
Kid-friendliness: My kids love coming here. The couple is very kind and will entertain two tweens talking their ears off about things that I’m sure they do not care about lol. But they will pretend to be so into every word anyway and it warms my heart. They always want to stop here for ice cream and chat with the couple“

“10/4/24. Cozy little place. Not open like typical Asian restaurants. Hubby ordered #L13 Shrimp Hot Garlic sauce and one Vietnamese coffee. I ordered #N11 Grill over pressed Vermicelli with Nem. Hubby said his dish is alright, just not as good as other places he had before. Mine came out in a humongous serving platter with rice paper to make wraps that is enough for 2. However, they gave me grilled pork instead of grilled nem. Instead of leaving the plate and just grilling me some nem, they took the platter back and said it would be awhile for the grilled nem. Anyway, the platter came out not too long after, and it was delish. I could only eat half and had to take the other haft home. It was raining heavily the whole day so I guess that's why there weren't many people during lunch. Oh, I do not recommend Vietnamese coffee. It tasted too much like powdery/instant coffee with sweetenter milk, unlike typical coffee that is prepared with a coffee fin over a cup of condensed milk and a separate glass of ice. Service could be better as the waiter never checked on us even once if we needed anything. Had to flag him down a few times. Price wise is reasonable for our dishes. We will be back to try other dishes.“

“This place is nestled in the heart of the black community. They are the only place opened late in the area. The service was very rude, the menu items that they offer are not actuallY reflected on the menu. There are no prices on the menu. The place smelled like roach spray. However, I went back to this restaurant with a friend about a month ago and things were much better. The food is good there and the service was much friendlier now. In my view, they have upped their game overall. I have changed my mind about this restaurant.“
