“The banhmi and pho here are delicious. Service is friendly and fast. The chia seed coconut drink it's refreshing and just what I needed from the heat outside. Prices are reasonable and quantity is good. Highly recommend this place for anyone who likes Vietnamese food.“

“This little hidden gem has the best combo bang mi in the city! The seafood soup is sometimes the best depending on the day. But really I have a defined palette and am a harsh critic when it comes to food having spent 30 plus years in feeding high end palettes and traveling abroad. This is the best banh mi locally!“

“When Ba Chi Canteen closed I was so sad, and made sure I visited Ba Chi Kitchen before I left NoLa this time!! I made a late night to-go order that I ordered several hours ahead, and the food was fresh and delicious. I was also met with the sweetest girl (I didn’t catch her name), and she was so sweet and friendly even though my order was scheduled 15 mins before close. They have my favorite bao in the city, I had the ba chi bacos and the bbq pork baco and they were just what I was looking for. Also, I’ve never had crispy gyoza before here and it’s probably my favorite menu item!“

“A tiny Vietnamese restaurant that serves wonderful pho as well as some unique dishes like tacos (with a Viet twist). Quick and fast service that seems to indicate a family run restaurant. The food is delicious and definitely worth a visit for the price.“

“It was refreshing to have light and clean Vietnamese food after heavy creole meals. The Pork rolls, rainbow rolls and lemongrass shrimp Bun and spicy chicken over rice were delicious. Wish we had room to eat more. We explored Magazine Street and the Garden District afterwards. We really liked the local restaurant ambiance and the staffs friendly demeanor. Would highly recommend for a change of pace and palate.“

“Second time eating here, but the first time sitting down! Got takeout before and it was great, but even better in person. Food comes out super quick and piping hot. For apps, we got the crab and bacon Rangoon and chicken curry w bread. The rangoons were good, just wish there was more crab. I'm not a huge fan a curry, but this one was tasty. I had the chicken pho and it was delicious! They really load you up on the herbs and bean sprouts, which I'm not the biggest fan of and don't really need that much of herbs, but still it was nice we were able to add/take away what we didn't want. Brought my little sister (7) and as a picky eater, she enjoyed chicken broth with noodles and French fries. Surprisingly, the fries were really good too. So this place is great at catering to children. Mom tried the pork belly steamed buns and she loved them. Very spicy though! Definitely will be back. Usually it's very busy when we drive by, but we went around 5:30 and were seated immediately. As for the ambiance, it's in the name: modern. Bar was cute but not much else going on. We didn't mind though as we were just hungry“

“Nudo is sooo good y’all. This hole in the wall restaurant located by Shyam’s is amazing. The place was super packed on a weekend night, and the waitress catered to our needs. I got the nudo fusion wings it was covered in this sweet spicy sauce, it was to die for. I also got the bun bo hue it tasted like comfort food. The lemon grass pork rice plate was bombbb with the paired sauce with it.“

“After reading about Tan Dinh in the New York Times of all places. It was an article about the hidden gems of New Orleans. I knew that we had to give it a try. So, we headed to Gretna on the Westbank to dine Vietnamese style. Upon arriving, I could tell it was going to be good, there were all the signs of a good Vietnamese restaurant. The pungent smell of fish sauce, long row a table’s pushed together with a large family dining. Good enough for the whole family. As I watched the kids at the big table play air drums with their chop sticks, I looked over the menu items. The menu is vast, but I found it was translated well. We started off with some Shrimp Spring Rolls and Chicken Wings with a sweet chili sauce covering them. Both were exceptional and I probably could have taken a couple dozen of those wings home with me. That would have been a meal to itself. But we were here to try more than just the wings. I ordered a Bun Bowl of shrimp and pork with vegetables and vermicelli noodles. Charla ordered the short ribs. Both were very large and easily shareable between a few people. The food was delicious, and portions were large. If you have never tried Vietnamese food this would be the place to go. The menu is well done in English and Vietnamese and the waitress was very knowledgeable. So come hungry because you get a lot of food. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.“

“We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Mike and his family while visiting New Orleans back in June 2017. This was not a planned visit to their restaurant, but one that will long stay with us. Great Food, Great Experience -Do Not Miss the Chance to add this place to your ‘Bucket-List’. The Shirmp and Grits was off the hook good.“

“I got the Chicken Katsu Banh Mi. I asked for the hoisin sauce to go along, but after taking the first bite without sauce, I saw that it didn't need the sauce at all. It was great without it. This sandwich is topped with Tokatsu sauce, Japanese kewpie mayo, and Furikake seasoning. These are Japanese ingredients, so this is a Vietnamese sandwich version of a Japanese dish. A Japanese Banhi MI in a way. And it was really good. The fried chicken on this sandwich is just as any Japanese fried chicken I've had before. I really recommend this sandwich and I very much look forward to taking another visit to Banh Mi Boys, because if this sandwich was that tasty, then I am sure the others have a lot to offer as well. Please enjoy!“

“Been patronizing Magasin since their beginning. I’ve had some absolute incredible Vietnamese meals with them, and I’ve had some that were downright awful. What they are serving out of their new location is as good as it has ever been! I hope they keep it up and don’t let the quality slip again.“

“This was the first time I have eaten food from Eat-well. My friend picked up some tofu rolls which I had never had before and they were absolutely delicious! It is a soft pancake texture filled with all sorts of goodies including grilled tofu, carrots, and cilantro.“

“This place is unreal. I have never had a disappointing meal here. The spicy beef pho and the beef stew are the best meals I’ve ever had. Come here on a nice chilly day eat a bowl of pho and hit the couch after. This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the city. After today I was just like I have to write a review. This stuff is gas. Pressure. 10/10 anyday anytime. No photo because I absolutely demolished it.“

“These are my people!!! The owners son and daughter, Tim and Lauren are always the best at being helpful. I had recently had a baby and would always order from them. They started to walk out the food to my car every time I ordered!! The owner, who I call the mom, is the one who got mad at me for not even telling her that I had a baby!! That I shouldn't be taking her out of the car and I should've just asked them to take it to my car. So the relationship with them started there and has became the best ever since. They are genuinely great people. What I order on a weekly basis is the chicken spring rolls. They're great. Their peanut sauce is the absolute best! Their pho is always great as well. The place is supper clean and organized. It's always full of people every time you walk in! Make sure this is your go-to spot for pho in the Westbank!“
“They do a good job of having what you need and I use them when I don't want to get in the car or the other stores are closed. Sure, you pay convenience-store prices! You're paying for the convenience and they're paying Frenchmen Street rent. But it's well organized and what you need is likely there!“

“This place is too much culinary fun to miss! How could you not want to try well made food that is a creative fusion of Vietnamese, Cajun, some Thai and even Indian elements? We had the coconut queso which was very OMG, the fried wings Nuac Mam sauce (juicy, crispy, intense with the sour/salty/sweet - I'd get them again but try the Vindaloo style next time out of curiosity), the chicken pho (wonderful!), and the daily special pork pho which has something like 7 different kinds of pork including belly, bacon, roasted, etc.My only regret was getting the pork pho, it was just too intense for me where I felt unwell eating it even though it was beautifully made. Too hardcore lardcore for me! I felt like it was more a dish made to satisfy a dare, but I bet there are plenty of folk out there ready to throw down a 7 different pork pho - and to you, I say I dare you to get it here!We drove out from out hotel in the Central Business District, and while this restaurant is in a quiet strip mall by a US military recruiting center, the neighborhood it is in is very cute. Full of charming small historic house getting spruced up by young adults, very hip. It was a neighborhood full of the right clientele to appreciate a vivid and offbeat place like this.“

“The waitress was amazing and her service was very sincere. We definitely enjoyed the food and very thankful the waitress could charge our phones. The coke fountain drink was terrible but the waitress allowed us to change it to root beer which was better but not the best. The parking was super weird and for new comers it’s quit confusing. Would recommend posting signs for the establishment so customers can know which areas are designated for dining.“

“I have been wanting to eat Bun Bo Hue and my friend brought me here claiming their Bun Bo Hue is very good. It indeed was. Had great flavor. It didn't disappoint. I asked for mild but next time I might try medium spice. Love their crab ragoons. My friend got the vermicelli bowl which looked great. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.“

“This is my favorite Pho Bang location. The service is usually good, and the food always tastes hot and fresh. They don't have the pork patty like the other location, they do actual pork pieces that are grilled perfectly. The broth has a rich flavor and good balance. I definitely recommend giving it a try!“

“Great option for Vietnamese food in the Garden District! We were tired after doing a walking tour of the Garden District. I found Anne Rice's stately home with the skull fence. I found the homes of John Goodman and Sandra Bullock too. We were tired and hungry. Then we found this place. I had a great combo banh mi with pork, chicken and shrimp. He had the grilled pork chop over rice. Both items were outstanding and fresh.“

“I've never had oxtail pho and after searching on Uber eats I found this. I ordered that it comes with oxtail/brisket and combination vermicelli chicken pork and shrimp. With the Pho you get one oxtail but it's very meaty and you get a lot of brisket it's very filling and delicious. Would definitely order again.“
