One of the things people love to do at a coffee shop is relax, but many are smaller and have indoor seating only amidst a swarm of blenders and espresso machines. Book and Bean is a much quieter and personal affair where you can sit in a shared area outside. So even when the heat index is in the triple digits.

Awesome coffee and food selection and great place to unwind.

“Went Halloween decor shopping today at Home Goods and had to stop in next door for a Crème Brûlée tea from UR teas. We walked up to the door and it was locked. The owner came and opened the door and said he was still there brewing so we could come in even though he just closed. He was super friendly and talked tea with us while making our drinks. If you’re ever out by this little gem you gotta stop in and give their Crème Brûlée tea a try. It’s my fav!“

“Was just going for a ride when I passed this place up. Inside has a cozy yet modern feel to it. Almost like having breakfast or lunch at mom's. Place was very organized, and everyone was so friendly to me that I felt like part of the family. Oscar and his mom Carol are amazing. Now to the food! This is definitely what we need in Mandeville. She has a bright smiling face and her personality is exactly what you want to see in the morning before you have to go to work. “Just went here for the first time with my daughter. I had the AMAZING Nutella French Toast for breakfast with Lavender Iced Coffee. Daughter had the breakfast combo with the Beast Mode energized tea. I highly recommend them. Cole was awesome, friendly and attentive.“

“I want to thank the baristas at the PJs coffee in Mandeville. My husband ordered a white chocolate mocha at the Madisonville location and after we were several miles down the road, tasted it and it was NOT a white chocolate mocha but regular coffee and cream. We were already in Mandeville before he realized so we went to the location near Girod. The baristas there made it right and made my husband the drink he should have gotten at the Madisonville location. We love the Mandeville location and will continue to go back because of the excellent customer service. 😊“

“I have been buying my cold coffee with chicory from here since they first opened. A locally owned business in the hart of Old Town Mandeville with excellent coffee. Also consider, the coffee makes an excellent gift especially for out of state friends who aren’t so lucky as we are to have this availability.
