“My husband and I found this lovely spot while camping at nearby Fairview Riverside State Park. When we both retired recently we decided to celebrate our retirements with a return trip to the area, which necessitates a return trip to Abita Roasting Co. We LOVE this little hidden gem…from friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful setting, and EXCELLENT food, we cannot recommend it highly enough!“

“I drive an hour and 1/2 to come to my favorite place. Such a sweet cozy atmosphere. The breakfast is healthy and delicious and the lovely ladies that take your order know you and remember what you love to eat. Its my favorite escape. Lots of homemade muffins, bread, snacks, fresh made salads(chicken/tuna. Cute nick nacks etc for sale. ❤️“

“Cherrybomb is probably my most frequented local business. I go about twice a week to take a break from my work from home routine. The thing about Cherrybomb is that no matter what you get the coffee/espresso flavor comes through even in a latte or flavored drink. I also want the staff to know I appreciate that they are consistent and friendly. I can see the culture is great there and it’s always a pleasure to stop in!“

“Went back, must be new management. All the negatives were redressed. Place was clean and had a much better vibe.
Friendly staff, beignets were good, cleanliness of the facility was lacking. Bathroom was in bad condition, tables were not wiped down, floor was grimy.“

“I walked in as a new customer and I left, knowing I would be back. The lady who helped me at the counter when I didn’t know anything gave me soup samples, and tea concoctions to see which ones I would enjoy the most and really was super friendly and took her time to explain everything. It was so hard to choose what soup to have since they were so good so I ordered one there and took some to go. What a wonderful experience and a delightful work staff.“

“Just stopped in to get a coffee, and this place is really a gem!! The coffee is great, the food looks absolutely incredible (I even took pictures of the pastries, which I never do, because they looked so great!), and the service was super friendly.

“Just went here for the first time with my daughter. I had the AMAZING Nutella French Toast for breakfast with Lavender Iced Coffee. Daughter had the breakfast combo with the Beast Mode energized tea. I highly recommend them. Cole was awesome, friendly and attentive.“

“After a horrible experience at the PJ’s Coffee in Slidell, the marketing manager provided me with a gift card to give them another chance. However, I went to this location and the service and coffee were great! I’m going to stick with the Covington location.“
“The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. While looking for a particular item the young man I spoke to offered to make sure the item would be ordered for my next visit! The store is immaculate and all the staff greet you with a smile! The 40 minute drive is well worth the trip!“
“I'm thrilled to have discovered Flamjeaux, as having fresh beans to make my espresso is truly a delight. I appreciate the owner because I arrived at their location 30 minutes before closing, and they were so sweet and helpful. I purchased Ponchartrian Sunset and Brazil whole beans. I brewed Ponchartrain Sunset, and I'm in love with the taste. Thank you, ladies, for helping me find the right flavor for me, and you most definitely have a customer for life. Had to post a photo because that brew was gorgeous.“

Now, I am from Mississippi from everyone smiles and is chipper but I was told the Louisiana folks are very straight forward and get to the punch!
And that is just what this little shop does.
Has the cutest souvenirs if that is your thing (it's mine!) and the beignets are good!
We get the frozen coffee and it hit the spot every time.
Our girls are picky and didn't like the beignets, and the asked if it was the quality. That tells me that are interested in the feed back.
I will go back again if I'm ever on the area! 🧡“
“I don't normally rate chain joints unless it is poor but the service from the young lady at this tough location where my sister-in-law was in ICU... had to be mentioned. When you are serving people in a place where typically things are not going well... you need a certain level of grace and poise. Bravo.“

“I want to thank the baristas at the PJs coffee in Mandeville. My husband ordered a white chocolate mocha at the Madisonville location and after we were several miles down the road, tasted it and it was NOT a white chocolate mocha but regular coffee and cream. We were already in Mandeville before he realized so we went to the location near Girod. The baristas there made it right and made my husband the drink he should have gotten at the Madisonville location. We love the Mandeville location and will continue to go back because of the excellent customer service. 😊“
