“Oh my, what a fun place to have some delicious food, a variety of drinks, a great Lakeshore view and you can bring your pup as a bonus! I’m talking about Barley Oak on Lakeshore Drive in Mandeville Louisiana. As my pictures and video below will show, you are front and center of the lakefront, and have a variety of choices in drink and dining selections and also where you’d like to sit! I had the redfish tacos, my friends had the shrimp tacos, and we all shared the sausage and cheese appetizer, which was absolutely amazing. You have got to get the gator sausage for sure. It being pet friendly, you can have your pup leashed inside or outside and the people water drinking station. there are water bowls for the pups as well. Where have you ever seen that! There’s also lively conversation, gathering of friends and family and don’t forget about a stroll across the street along the Lakeshore, a beautiful time all around. There is free parking conveniently streetside or Lakeside as well. The Barley Oak will not disappoint on any level.

“Dirty little dive bar. I loved it. Went in early in the day when it was quiet, but it looks like it could be VERY fun at night. The bloody mary was just what I needed. The bartender was friendly and had excellent local food recommendations.“

Dani was a breath of fresh air – friendly, genuinely funny, and exceptionally professional. She took the time to explain the menu thoroughly, offering excellent suggestions that perfectly suited our tastes. Her patience and willingness to answer our questions made us feel valued and comfortable. She struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving us space to enjoy our meal.
It's rare to find a server who is so naturally engaging and skilled at their job. Dani's positive energy and dedication to providing a memorable experience were truly remarkable. I will absolutely be returning to this Chili's, and I sincerely hope to be seated in Dani's section every time. She's a shining example of outstanding customer service, and she made our dining experience truly exceptional.“
