“I love Café Negril. I only did 4 stars, though, because the drinks are a bit overpriced and the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, however.... the atmosphere is amazing, the music is great and the tacos are delicious! I will return for sure!“

“Oysters and pita/crab dip were delicious! Service was a little rough. My husband got his oysters before I got my meal- he had that and his drink finished before I received my food. We tried to be patient because they were somewhat busy, but watched our server take off her apron and leave before ever coming back to our table after drop off. We had 2 other waiters and what looked like management walk by several times, and even though I tried to get their attention, never looked our way or stopped. Finally made eye contact with a gal working closer to the front who came over and was very sweet, apologizing as our waitress had just quit. She brought out my food that'd been sitting there for quite a while, so the muffalettas weren't great, coleslaw warm. She never came back or reassigned someone to us, no one checked on us for drink refills, etc. Had to flag her down to place another food and drink order, again because no one else was helping us. After that, zero service, no one stopped at our table to check on us, and nothing 'taken care of' for the mishap. We came at a time where we were able to see the end of one band and start of a new- both fantastic, so that was good. Would recommend based on food and music, maybe not so much service.“

“The bartender after Bobby was truly awful. I've bartended 10 years in NY/lower Decatur and she was one of the most unfriendly bartenders I've ever encountered. Giving 5 stars because Bobby is a gem but I could do everything in my power to make sure people never went there if I knew that horrible woman was the server for the night“

“Halloween is by far my favorite holiday and this place fills my Halloween needs. Decor 10/10 love it so much. Went yesterday for the first time and can’t wait to go back. I couldn’t resist buying one of the coolest cups I have ever seen. Yesterday was the taco pop up and the food was delicious. Came out super fast and was so good.“

“Truly incredible dining experience! The service is attentive, friendly, and knowledge. The restaurant is in an old home which is beautiful and charming. The food was perfectly seasoned and delicious - every bite. The portions are small but we were certainly full by the end of our meal. The shallot tart is a must try: Crispy pastry, perfectly sweet shallots, topped with creme fraiche and dill. I could eat that every day. The gumbo comes with pickled okra & potato salad. The lamb tagliatelle was al dente and perfect - so flavorful. The grouper was beautifully cooked and seasoned. The chocolate cake was moist and delicious. I would recommend to anyone.“

“The vibes at Skinny and Marie’s are truly off the chain. This is the spot that made me fall in love the neighborhood. The owner has crafted a bomb place to have a drink, enjoy good vibes and have a great night with the local neighborhood. The music is perfect and the food is delicious. The drinks are strong and perfect for a good night.Come out here and you won’t be disappointed. This is the gem of Gentilly.“

“We found this bar by chance while seeking shelter from the rain. It has a quirky theme centered around toilets, which adds a fun touch. Keep in mind, they only accept cash. The drinks here are big and pack a punch, starting at around $6 for basic options. Expect to mingle with a local crowd.“

“Cudas is doing pretty good. Been around since I was a kid. Good to know it's still around. Support locally to St. Bernard and come down here! I really like the video poker machines here. Also they actually sell my favorite alcohol for $6 Don Julio Tequila, and that's the cheapest around! It's $8 $9 most places so I really like that. I had a nice time last time in here. “Nice place to dance, the DJ mixes a great variety of genres and keeps the ambient lively. The only thing I would suggest to keep in mind is the entrance charge (cover) I would understand if they had a live band or something that would merit the charge.They serve beer buckets which is good for those that enjoy beer. They also have a pretty descent variety.I would give this place a 3.5 stars ? ? ?“
