“the other day was my first time going as it was recommended by a good friend. it is, hands down ,my new favorite establishment in new orleans! the staff were very friendly and welcoming. they were quick to point me to menu favorites that i,a meat eater, and my friend, a vegetarian ,both loved! I had the hot sausage burger and gumbo and my friend had the island veggie burger.any bar that throws down for Bowies birthday is tops in my book. the vibe is very true art forward as well as the patrons. .Even though I was new to a lot of the crowd it seemed like they were happy I was there. i will be back!10/10 stars.“

“My only complaint was that I'm not a local and don't get to eat here 5 times a week. Get the red beans, pork boudin, and turkey neck and ask for an extra container. All the seafood was cooked and seasoned well. Wings were crispy and fresh. They are putting LOVE in this food y'all. Best meal I've had in years.“

“Best po-boys... We've been eating here for a number of years. Our go-to especially for breakfast po-boys. The best bread ever...made locally in NOLA. Not sure why they didn't have Bloody Mary's this time...they have had in the past....but sandwiches still worth the visit.“

“Decided to try this establishment as we have passed it for a while. It may have said it was a Red Bird fried 🐔🍗 chicken but also was a daiquiris shop. Ordered our food, wife got a chicken sandwich 🥪 with fries 🍟 and I got a breast and wing with fries 🍟. After a short time our food was served. Wife got what she ordered and I got a drumstick 🍗 and a back, completely opposite of what I ordered. Upon going back to the register the manager asked what was wrong and I explained what was wrong and said immediately corrected the problem. Kudos to the manager. The young man that took out order was wearing dark sunglasses 😎 while he took out order and afterwards he took them off. Food was hot 🥵 and tasty.“

“This restaurant is a must stop EVERY time I’m in town visiting family. My Lawd I always get the shrimp sandwich on bun but I got the hot sausage patties po-boy as well this time. Also grabbed a pound of shrimp and a pound of crawfish. I know I was being big eyed because I was hungry but I didn’t regret it because everything was good, per usual. My mom tasted the crawfish and looovvveeed the favor. I got the regular spice level and she said it was just right, not too spicy. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend.“

“I had the boil turkey neck n smoked sausage it was so delicious n seasoned perfectly. I also had the fish n shrimp plate with combination rice. It was really good. I didn't care for the shrimp idk why but it was good. Definitely will go back when I'm in New Orleans again“

🌶️ Spice: 3.9/5 - lips tinglin, nose running but not burning my mouth off
Salt/ - i’m a sodium fiendddd so a lil bit more salt & citrus woulda set these off
Size: 4.5/5 literally NO tiny lil babies that i felt bad for eating; some bigggg boys in there w big ole claws
Cook/ - easily peeled, no breaking apart & even the bigger crawfish were cooked well enough that you don’t have to BITE into the head to get juice out ifywim

“The owner is a sweetpea, handing out free water to members of her community on hot days, and is so attentive and kind. The food was delicious, tried the gumbo, jambalaya and red beans and rice. She also put a fan on me bc I was so hot from walking outside!! So nice!“
