“My wife and I were so pleased to see the thoughtful design of Enoch's a Cafe, the best coffee shop in the Garden District! Usually we worry about how well a wheelchair can get in, especially when the building used to be someone's house a long time ago. Enoch's a Cafe has a solid concrete pad for accessible parking, with a smooth surface leading up to a gently sloped ramp. And the interior is great too--you can wheel right up to the cutout below the register! But enough about the building, let's talk about the people and the food and drinks. Everyone there was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help us. And her chicken salad wrap, my ice cream, and her iced tea all passed with flying colors. (And no, that's not a joke about the Superman ice cream. They call it something else here.) I'm looking forward to trying their breakfast next!“

“The sweetest young lady and I started up a conversation. Come to find out her family owns the ice cream (custard) shoppe. Absolutely sweet as she could be. Gave me some good recommendations for next time because I had already ordered for me and my sister. We had the Cookie Monster. It was great! We thought it was our best ice cream (oops custard) ever!!! Then before we left she gave me a carton of her recommended custard so I could try it down the road. We were in our motorhome. I ate so much today I am eating her gift tomorrow. YOU HAVE TO GO TRY THE CUSTARD, YOU WILL BE HOOKED😍😍😍😍 🍨 🍦 And I learned custard is better than ice cream😋😋😋😋😋😋😋“

“Good food, good service. Never been unhappy here. I visit Monroe, LA monthly to attend meetings. I eat at Portico 6-8 times a year when in town. A special treat there is their chicken and sausage gumbo. Another special dish is their red beans and rice serving. They can handle large parties and they have an excellent bar. Prices are good, too.“

“I can’t say enough about Catfish Charlie’s. We lost our brother recently and his wish was for family to get together after memorial at Catfish Charlie’s. He loved this place. We all ate there last night and it was wonderful. They all went way beyond the normal to make sure we were all taken care of. The food was incredible. We can never thank y’all enough for making our Brother’s wish come true.“

“I have always loved Not Just Pie. Their new location is perfect. We recently visited family in north Louisiana for Thanksgiving. Knowing we had to go to Monroe---i was dreaming of having a slice of their banana caramel pie. Literally dreaming of it! It was a huge heartbreaking disappointment to find out that they were completely out. 😭 I didn't realize i had to order one in advance during the Thanksgiving holiday. You live and learn. Had a piece of their strawberry cream pie. It was delicious but Im still dreaming of that banana caramel cream pie. Oh yeah....the food is great too!“

“I like to just ride sometimes for a short getaway and Monroe Louisiana has a nice mall and surrounding restaurants. Applebee's did not disappoint. I have been on a few occasions and enjoyed each time. The food was good. The service was good also. The atmosphere was nice.“

“Update im sticking with my 2 stars for food. I oderwd grilled chicken today and it was way under cooked. This is our date night go too so hopefully whoever is cooking can get it together cause we truly love coming here. Im giving the food a 2 star because of the wait time on our food. Not to mention when our food was delivered my steak and potato was room temperature. Not even my plate was hot. Im guessing my food got prepaired the was set aside . My husband's was great as always. The parmesan crusted chicken is a must. Cowboy was yummy as well. Also at no time did the manager come around to check on us.“
