The food, especially the ribs, are absolutely great. Kind of remind me of mission barbecue.However, I will note that this place is also much more expensive than mission barbecue. Two people, two meals, two drinks came up to around sixty four dollars.“

“Every month, I drive the 216 miles from Houston, Texas down I-10 to Scott, Louisiana to Billy's. Food as always is good and Excellent Customer Service. This month, I decided to have Billys for Thanksgiving Dinner. I ordered what I always order, a dozen of pepper jack balls, a dozen of pepper jack wraps, a dozen of links and this time, I added a dozen of shrimp 🍤 boudain balls. So far so smooth, except today it was super packed at 8 o'clock in the morning when its always empty the previous months I have visited for years. Plus, a Louisiana State Trooper accosted me on I-10 heading back to Texas. I wish yall would open up a location in Texas because my days of driving through Louisiana are limited now especially with those crowds and Louisiana State Troopers hounding me. Sorry. Excellent food and Customer Service though. 😎“

“This is a delightful place with country charm and good eats. I had the chicken, dirty rice, fruit and corn bread that were plate licking fantastic. My partner's cabbage was also delicious. The blackeyed peas and porkchops were the highlight of his choices. The fruit was perfect if you want go back to your childhood remembering canned fruit was the best thing ever. For good southern cooking look no further than this little county corner in Opelousas, Louisiana.“

I’ve never had Focaccia bread so soft and delicious before. It was very hard to choose from all the wonderful sandwiches and I’d definitely go back again next time I come back home to Louisiana for visit.“

“Looked for a sit down crawfish boiler between Ville Platte and Lafayette that was boiling for lunch on a Saturday. Cankton Cafe was one of the few sit down places open and boiling. The place was easy to find with plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the crawfish seasoning and quality was above average. Definitely a small town restaurant worth taking a detour for.“

“My daughter and I had breakfast this morning at the Waffle House in Carencro. The restaurant was extremely clean and well kept but most importantly their customer service was incredible. They were polite, professional and friendly. Props to Sarah Mae and the whole crew!“

“I absolutely love the chocolate and strawberry milkshake with whipped cream on top. And they open 24 hours so I can stop by and get me a milkshake even if it's 3 am. Employees are always friendly. When you oder a burger you do have to wait a Lil while bc they cook to order, so burger is freshly cooked and ? hot (temperature wise.)“

“I'm a local regular. I visit about once a week, sometimes twice. Used to visit almost every day. But my last few visits has been disappointing. My favorite waitress isn't there any more. I wish they would call her up and re-hire her. I used to look forward to seeing her, now I don't have that.“
