“Wanted to try their lunch specials. The portions were very large and reasonably priced. You get only white rice and soup with your Entree. Portions are big enough to share. Big choice of classic Chinese food. You would need to order appetizers extra if you want it. Fried rice is on the dinner menu, but lunch is only white rice. Dinner portions are large enough to share. Next time we will order one dinner entree, one order fried rice or lo-mein, and one appetizer about the same price as 2 lunches.“

My fav dish is “husband and wife lung slices. 夫妻肺片 (fūqī fèi piàn), often translated as “Husband and Wife Sliced Meat” — a famous Sichuan cold appetizer. “Asia Wok is a local favorite and has been for decades. Before that the current owner worked for Tom, in his beautiful restaurant on Brighton Avenue. It has the old style Cantonese American food that I grew up with and still love. Food is delicious and the restaurant has the best value for the money of any eatery in Allston. The owner does his own delivery and the chefs are the real deal. If you miss that kind of delicious Chinese food this is definitely the place to order from.“

“I really enjoyed the food here. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and felt thoughtfully prepared. The balance in the dishes was just right, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. The service was also great. Everyone on the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome.

We did get asked to switch tables shortly after sitting down, which could have been a little frustrating, but they handled it so well. They offered a warm and sincere apology, and the way they approached it actually made us feel good about moving. It felt like they really cared about our experience.

The only downside was that the food took a while to come out. It wasn’t a major issue, but it’s worth noting if you’re on a tight schedule. Thankfully, the quality of the food made the wait feel worth it.

“The hand pulled noodles are amazing! Very authentic and fresh.

I recommend the N3. Spicy Hot Oil Seared Noodles. This was one of the best hand pulled noodles I've had. 11/10.

The Kung Pao Chicken came with either white rice or fried rice and a soup (we chose egg drop soup). There were more veggies than shrimp, and although the shrimp was good the veggies were a bit hard.

Regardless, definitely a great authentic restaurant for hand pulled noodles.“

“This definitely my new favorite Chinese take out. The only dish I go for is the General's Chicken with fried rice. I love how the sauce for the chicken is so sweet and with a smidge of a kick. The meal does come with 2 sides. Didn't know it at the time, but Coke counts as a side. The 2nd being crab rangoons. Can't recall how it tastes because the General Chicken comes out piping out and I sometimes forget and burn my tongue. All in all, I have been here several times for the same items every time.“

“I had ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago Nectar (with boba) and Red-Braised Pork Belly. The drink was good not-too sweet and went down pretty easily. The pork belly was cooked perfectly. The fat was soft and melted in my mouth! The founder also sells inkwork based on places she had visited and I saw one that was Star Wars themed.
I visited the shop at around 3 pm so it wasn't super busy, the staff are friendly, and the vibes were great! The interior is colorful and there were plenty of comfy seats.“

I love this place for more than its good and reasonably priced fare. There’s a certain curb appeal that comes from having no windows that more modern establishments are still struggling to grasp. Rick is the most gracious host/server/bartender, and I welcome any additional business in his direction even if it’s just to hear his genuine, “You’re welcome,” each and every time you politely thank him for something. “It’s been awhile since we last visited. Dim sum tasted as good as we remembered.
Everything was steamy hot.
Our favorites are the crispy pork chashu buns. This time we have to order them. They were in the push carts.
Shrimp dumplings (ha gow), pork and shrimp sui mai were really good!
Steamed Bean curds pork rolls came with three in the steamer was delicious too!
Chicken feet with black beans and garlic, fried taro dumplings, steamed pork ribs, lotus leaves wrap with sticky rice, fried sesame balls with red bean paste inside, tofu pudding….They were all very good!
Except the jelly fish and radish… they tasted from a package. A little mala taste (numbing) seasoning. We didn’t enjoy that!
Service was excellent! The waitstaff are always so fast and friendly!
Clean restroom and restaurant seems pretty spacious!
Get there at 10 am when they open then you won’t have to wait.
By 10:30 am it was a full house on a Sat am! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!“

The atmosphere was fantastic! The was surprising, especially after being underwhelmed by the exterior.

The service was definitely the best part. Our server was attentive without being over bearing and he was so kind and funny!

Our food was standard American Chinese food. Portions were huge! and the flavors were well orchestrated. The turn around time from ordering to receiving our food was quick! It wasn't too busy for a holiday evening and the little bar area was quite lively.
