“I found this restaurant by chance to find out it is connected to our Mather Elementary School community! Yayyy!!! I love the concept, the philosophy, the staff, the cooking, the flavors, and whenever I can get a double dose of delicious fried plantains it's a plus plus plus! Great for catering and events. Highly recommend this business. Very nice sit down space in and outside. Stop eating bland lunches with too much salt and start ordering healthy well cooked and seasoned hearty meals!!!“

“It's a small restaurant with a relaxed, informal atmosphere and very helpful and friendly staff. The food was special- so delicious that my husband, son and I agreed that this was our favorite restaurant. “My family and I were in town visiting. We stopped here to get some food before heading home. While the wait was long, the food was so worth it. Not only was the hostess so accommodating and friendly, but the portions were huge and delicious! Between the 6 plates, we ordered Chicken, fried turkey and the fried pork(griot) which were all cooked to perfection! 10/10 would highly recommend! We’ll absolutely be back whenever we’re in the area again.“

“The kind of spot we have been waiting for in Mattapan. The location is low key and fun. The owners and staff have excellent customer service. Paul makes great drinks and can make you a nice drink off menu. I ordered oxtail Alfredo which is very rich and tasty. My favorite is the curry goat.“

“i will definitely be visiting The D Coal Pot again very soon. The food is fresh taste great and really good. I was driving and came upon this restaurant i didn't plan on going to this restaurant but I said to self stop and get a few Patties and wouldn't you know they had no Patties. I left the restaurant with Corn Soup Peas & Rice Chicken Roti Beef Roti. I also got to try a dessert I've never had before I don’t know the name of it but had Guava Sweet Potato Coconut and other things to make this dessert which was really good so I ordered 2 to go. D Coal Pot is definitely a place you must visit and get a meal.“

“Aunt Vie’s Restaurant & Bakery does not disappoint! The Mac & cheese, rice and peas are my favorite sides. The oxtail is delicious. The baked goods especially the carrot cake - sooo good!! Still have lots of items to try on the menu😋😋. I highly recommend this spot! The service is also top notch. Every time I go I feel like I’m at my family’s house getting some food❤️“

“Great experience at a event for a family. Chester, the owner, did from soup to nuts. Decorating was on point very festive but so tasteful, getting the DJ Larry who was awesome, and providing the meal. The staff was very engaging without being intrusive and pleasant. The food was so good and plentiful. No one left empty handed unless they wanted to. The only downside was the parking and everyone found parking even if it was a little walk to the venue. This place is a must for good vibes and great food.“

“My roti was sooo good! I got the boneless chicken and shrimp spicy option. It was seasoned very well, and they were generous with the meat portions. Every bite that I took had a piece of shrimp or chicken. I think I beat the rush because there was only one person in front of me and I didn’t have to wait long for my order.

“This was my six-year-old’s choice for his birthday dinner! We used to frequent the South End location and since that one closed, we got delivery from Brookline. He wanted to write a review. His review is ‘they are the best cookers in the world.’ He also wants to give the meal seven stars. The food was great as usual! My go-to is the pabellon criollo, delicious and filling! Will have to come by and dine in soon.“

“Authentic Haitian food. Absolutely delicious. Fried goat, oxtail stew, with djon djon rice. I've not had anything like this. P&C Market & Caribbean Cuisine over at Malden, MA.
I was on a side quest to source dried Haitian mushrooms for my good friend. I wasn't expecting hot prepared foods there but it was lunch time. After that I was ready for a nap.“

“My family discovered the TapTap by chance, when my teen’s phone quit working during an outing and he needed to call home for help. The proprieters very kindly allowed him to use their phone, and while he waited for pick-up, he ordered some food. We ended up enjoying a delicious and generous rice bowl and beef and chicken pasties. So flavorful!! We are so glad to have found this fantastic gem, and plan to return for more!“

“Go! Super small and unassuming but it’s super affordable, the staff was friendly, pretty big portions and SO good! Mac & cheese is a must! We also loved the plantains and the ginger wings. We enjoyed the spring chicken sandwich but it was better without the bun, honestly could use more of a homemade softer bread, but the fried chicken and spicy jam with side of sweet potato fries was super yummy and filling. Definitely worth leaving Boston for, easy parking and no wait.“

“The food here is always delicious. But we just went for drinks and to dance. This is a Dominican spot that converts to a club vibe on the weekends. I always enjoy myself at El Molinos. The DJ understood the assignment. It is an older crowd and the music was on point. There aren't enough spots that cater to Gen X. I was happy ?.“

“Went in to satisfy the kid’s ice cream craving. We were pleasantly surprised at all the flavor choices! Walked home after sharing a scoop of oreo and cookie dough (sort of sharing, the boy can be a bit stingy when the food is good...) and with a meal each: jerk chicken and stew beef. We each had a filling dinner last night AND lunch today. Thanks! Looking forward to trying ALL the ice cream flavors :)“

“Our server was great, I had the drink with the mamajuana and it was tasty - on the sweet side though. We had the ceviche - HUGE portion and yum. We shared the passion fruit glazed salmon and the pork belly mofongo. The salmon was awesome; the mofongo was good - definitely a unique bite, but we would have liked more sauce. Overall we were very pleased.“
