Breakfast sandwich comes on English muffin with avocado and is 9/10. By night, it becomes a brewing company with excellent beer and excellent hazy IPAs. “The staff here are so kind and patient and enjoyable to talk to as the first part of my day. I really appreciate pavement/harvard’s willingness to let folks hang out in their lobby /dining/ seating space, particularly folks who may be experiencing tough times. I’ve chatted with a few strangers in the lobby that have disclosed their housing insecurity to me. Even recently, when a woman was unsure whether her card would go through as we near the end of the month, there was a quiet offer of still enjoying a coffee if it didn’t. I’ve completely stopped going to the sterile waiting areas of similar places like Starbucks because we all need a little more community care for each other. As an aside to great staff and customers, I love (too much and too often) getting their rosemary bagel that they always hook up with lots of cream cheese. Keep it up pavement- you make me proud to be in Cambridge alongside businesses with staff that value the humanity that they can bring to others’ days. I hope they are compensated for the extra (and so so necessary) love they give others.“

“This is one of those nice chains that doesn't look or feel like a chain operation. Light, fluffy, fresh and very well-made croissants as well as other baked goods. Their coffee drinks are also excellent with yummy lattes and international caliber espresso.

Worth a visit if you are nearby although the lines can get a bit tedious during busy hours. All in all, nice to have such a nice quality café nearby.“

“We were visiting from out of town and were recommended by a friend to try this cafe out. It was absolutely amazing. The prices were extremely reasonable and the pastries themselves were fantastic. They looked incredible and tasted wonderful. I was able to get a decent London Fog in Boston (which is something I had a hard time finding). I got a coffee bean pastry which had an amazing chocolate/coffee mousse flavor (and texture)! My son got a cinnamon roll which he loved. My other son was having a hard time choosing and the person behind the counter was so sweet and gave him a cream filled pastry that they had extras of. This cafe is high end, but without the high end price tags. If I’m ever in Boston again, I will definitely come back. 1000% would recommend.“

“These are the best and most unique cheesecakes that I have ever eaten, and Duly is a kind and awesome human. I highly recommend the Vietnamese Coffee and the OG Burnt, and the specialty flavors of ube as well as durian were also delicious! It's a super easy ordering and pickup experience, there are often fun samples to try, the fillings are always perfectly creamy and the crust pairs perfectly, and Duly is always dreaming up delectable, one-of-a-kind flavors. If I could afford to, I would try every cake Duly makes, with lots of repeat orders!“

The banana cream cold foam ice matcha was one of the best barista drinks I’ve ever had in my life and they also have a lot of food options including a lot of healthy stuff like salads, real fruit smoothies or rice bowls. The staff is always really accommodating and helpful even in the most busiest times of the day which is something I personally considered very admirable having worked in the service industry.“

Great vegan cream cheese spread and the sauteed onions and crushed peppers were just icing on the cake. I got a cold brew iced with oat milk and sugar. “MEM tea flavors are unsurpassed...unlike any other tea brand I have ever tried. The intensity of the flavors roll around in my mouth and linger. Always fresh and vibrant. My daughter, Tessa, introduced me to MEM and I begin each day with Spicy Chai. After trying the oolong tea Dark Wuyi, it became another favorite along with the vanilla rooibos, and jasmine pearls. “The pizza here was soooo good! And for two slices, a side of ranch and a big chocolate chip cookie it’s no more than $9. The employees were also so sweet. I accidentally left my phone, called and they already had it saved for me to grab. We went back and got two more slices. As we were leaving one of the employees came out to give my boyfriend his hat lol. Sure sweet people and great food. If you want good pizza for sure try this place out.“

“Solid little neighborhood cafe in Mid-Cambridge.

Dropped by a couple times after work, and both times, the vibe was super chill. It’s located in a quiet residential pocket, so you won’t see many students cramming for finals. Instead, it’s mostly locals reading, chatting, or just enjoying the calm vibes. Plenty of open seats even during the peak lunch hours.

Barismo clearly take their coffee seriously. Full roasting setup/equipment and a bunch of kegs to store freshly brewed coffee. Unfortunately, my nitro cold brew was from the tail end of the keg, so it lacked some of the aroma, but still had a nice velvety body and those signature bubbles on top. Definitely trying a fresher pour next time.

Food is pretty simple here, but everything I’ve tried was solid. No frills, just warm and satisfying. The burrito could’ve used more salsa or hot sauce, but the quesadilla plate came with curried cauliflowers that added a nice twist. Prices are fair, portions are reasonable, and the whole place just feels unpretentious.

Still doesn’t top Cicada or Pepita for me, but if you’re nearby, it’s a good option.“

Never have I ever met her until today, but she truly knows hospitality and was the kindest person ever, also most genuine. This was truly the most hospitable, friendliest, and well not to sugar-coat things, the most amazing Starbucks interactions I have ever had. She has an aura that just brightens everything and everyone around her from what it seemed. I would hire her in a heartbeat if/when I open up my own place.“
