“We had a very nice late lunch. The food was excellent and I was able to add tendon to my soup and that was an excellent addition. Will be back again down the road the Lord willing. They need better signage as it was not supper easy to find bases on the name. I added a photo so you can have a chance of finding the place. 😀“

“Make sure to bring cash, they offer a 10% cash discount! Great pho and thai food at an extremely reasonable price. Besides the pho, the thai eggplant and any of the curries are always a highlight. Can be a little bit of a wait on weekend evenings“

“My wife and I absolutely love coming to Pho Le. The food and service here are consistently excellent. Every time we visit, we order the grilled fish with rice wrappers and fresh mint vegetables — it’s become our go-to dish, and it never disappoints. The flavors are fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether it's a casual dinner or a special night out, Pho Le delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!“

“Gao Vietnamese Kitchen has won my heart over or should I say my stomach..haha If you love Vietnamese food then Gao is a must-visit gem with its authentic and unique cuisine that truly impresses on every level. Each dish we savored at this cute and cozy Dorchester restaurant was a culinary treat and delight, hitting all the right spots, from the lip-smacking banh coun to the addictive chicken and banana blossom salad, every bite was a journey of flavors. The free ice tea added a touch of authenticity to the dining experience as if I were back in Vietnam. The vegetarian pho and fresh spring rolls were exceptional, showcasing the diverse offerings on their extensive menu that’s priced right for the large portions. Moreover, the warm and diligent staff elevated our dining experience, ensuring every detail was perfect. The owner Sy Le was the nicest guy, he really cares about his customers and his employees and it shows! Gao Vietnamese Kitchen is a standout among Vietnamese restaurants, capturing both heart and stomach with its delicious food and exceptional service.“

“Vietnamese café with solid coffee and matcha.
Stopped by a few weekends ago, a little past noon, and the place was already packed. Most of the food items (including the egg rolls) were sold out by then, so we ended up ordering the grilled pork bánh mì, a salted matcha latte, and an egg coffee.
The salted matcha latte was great. This was only my second time trying salted foam on a latte, but the sweet-and-salty combination worked as expected. The foam added a pleasant savory note that balanced the matcha nicely without overwhelming it.
The egg coffee, unfortunately, was bad. We had to wait an extra 20 minutes for a fresh batch of egg foam, but even then, it didn’t integrate well with the espresso and tasted bitter. My Vietnamese friend mentioned that egg coffee is typically much sweeter (closer to a dessert coffee), so this wasn’t quite what I imagined.
The grilled pork bánh mì was good. Can’t say I eat enough banh mi to call this top-tier or not, but the baguette had the right crunch. Just wish there was more sauce.“

“I love how this place has both Thai and Vietnamese food, it’s such a good combo. Everything tasted really fresh and absolutely delicious. The lychee smoothie with popping boba was so refreshing. I’d definitely recommend trying it if you’re in the area. Added to one of my favorite spots!“

“I have been going here on occasion for years and realized I never left a review. Bread, pate, and everything is always fresh. The food and service quality have remained consistent over the year. Whenever I want banh mi and I am in the North Quincy / Wollaston area, this has always been my go to spot. It's also an easy, transit accessible spot, just a few minutes walk from North Quincy Red Line station and the nearby bus stop for the 210 Bus.“

“Phinista is my goat it has yet to (severely) disappoint!! Great study spot if you're willing to wait for a table (usually doesn't take me longer than 10-15 mins). Of their matchas, my favorite is their pandan, but their ube and strawberry are good too. I like their pastries, though their cookies are a bit dry. Highly recommend their bowls if you want actual food; they give big portions and everything is seasoned well.“

“Had the best casual birthday brunch back in February with 15 local friends at Saigon Tiger! The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating to our group. The lunch fare is reasonably priced and came quickly. Of course, it was super yummy. The menu also offers some great gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options. Would highly recommend as an option for lunch or group meet ups in Davis Square!“

“First time visiting and we ordered the Bun Ga Nuong combo. It came with two pieces of shrimp and a very generous portion of grilled meat—so much that I was able to enjoy it over two meals.
This was a takeaway order, and unfortunately I only realized after sitting down to eat that the bag was missing the spring rolls that are supposed to come with the combo. On top of that, one of us has a severe peanut allergy, and the dish had peanuts scattered throughout, making it unsafe to eat.
I called the restaurant right away. The owner immediately apologized, acknowledged they had forgotten the spring rolls, and offered to remake the dish without peanuts. She also told me to keep the original order, which I appreciated.
When I returned, they apologized again and gave me a freshly prepared replacement along with three spring rolls. While it was inconvenient to make the extra trip, I was grateful for how they handled the situation.
In hindsight, I would usually check about nuts, but I didn’t recall seeing it mentioned on the menu. Typically, peanuts are served on the side to prevent them from getting soggy, so this caught me off guard.
Overall, great portion sizes and solid customer service recovery.
Also ordered a banh-mi for one for the road - big and yummy!“

““Pho-get about your ex—this beef is the real love story.”
Went to Pho 2000 for a casual meal, left spiritually awakened by the vinegar and butter beef. I don’t know who thought, “Let’s drown beef in butter and vinegar,” but I would trust them with my taxes, and maybe even my heart.
The beef? So tender it probably writes poetry in its spare time. The vinegar gave it a sharp sass, like your favorite aunt who always tells it like it is. And the butter? Smooth. Seductive. Basically the Barry White of sauces.
I dipped, I sizzled, I questioned every meal I’d ever had before this.
If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor—go.
But be warned: your taste buds might file a restraining order because you’ll keep coming back for more.“
“1. I'll come here again. “Moms and Pops” joint.
2. Atmosphere not the most appealing, but my Fried Rice Noodle with chopped up fried tofu was lovely. Not oily or tons of salt. Just Lovely to eat. The portion was reasonable. Their sweet soy something sauce with it was lovely.
3. This desert, which I didn't quite get it should be some Yuka desert. It was lovely too. Should it be warm or cool? Mine was room temperature. I like it too. I like it. Don't expect great service, but some engagement. I'm okay with it.“

“Pho 1 has changed a lot and I’ve been going there for years. Last night I ordered the beef soup for take out and when I got home and opened it the meat was like shredded and not the same consistency that had been in the past. These are hard times for all of us and giving customers scraps is no acceptable. I will go again later in the year and see if they have improved.“

“Best option for the summer, serve food fast but it’s apparently freshly made. Prices are reasonable, portions are big, I ordered one main and one side dish, it’s a bit too much for me with the main already, better share the side dishes with one other person. No unnecessary asking for excessive tips but always show up and provide the right service on time. And the taste is not compromised, it's just how Vietnamese food tastes. Will definitely visit again if I’m around.“

“My first visit here. I had a dish where you make your own rice paper rolls with a protein. I had pork and it came with peanuts, carrots, watercress, cucumber, rice and a sweet mild fish sauce. It was delicious and fun. I didn't finish and for my to go box they included a fresh container of the dipping sauce so I was able to have the exact same thing again at home.“

“Best food I’ve had from start to finish! We ordered several dishes to share (based on our waiter’s recommendations) and they all had unique flavors spiced to perfection. “King Do has recently moved to a new location, and the space is now much larger, cleaner, and more airy. The menu still offers a wide variety of options, and the food remains just as delicious and affordable as before. The highlights for me are definitely the pennywort drink and the mung bean milk—both are refreshing and a must-try.“

“A block away from Central Sq, Cicada is one of our favorite for a cosy dinner.
We went there for the second time on a Friday night and had the chicken sticky rice, the salmon avocado tartare as well as the seared salmon rice together with a glass of sparkling wine. The food is inventive and flavorful with appropriate prices for the quality, although not cheap.
The perfect place for a date night in Cambridge!“

“I lived in East Boston for so long and I always go into Boston to get banh mi. I don't know why but I never thought about googling in my neighborhood! East Boston doesn't have any well-reviewed banh mi But I found this little spot in Chelsea which was so close. I ordered over the phone and walked over and my God it was so good!!! I got a beef banh mi. I ordered it with everything on it including jalapenos. The bread was perfect, chewy and crispy and light. The vegetables were marinated and tangy and plentiful. The barbecue beef was so tender with no gristly bits And the marinade was delicious. The jalapenos were fresh and spicy. The sauce was so good. I think they had mayo and pate, I'm not sure but whatever it was it was absolutely delicious and I am really picky about my banh mi.
Google has their hours closing at 5:00 p.m. but when I spoke with them at the store they said they actually open until I think like 9:00 p.m. most days, there's a full bar inside! Like with a bartender and everything! I think they were saying that after 5:00 p.m. they don't allow eat in to provide a more space for people who want to go to the bar. But they said you could still do delivery or take out.
Anyway I'm so excited to eat 8374738374 banh mis without paying for the toll to go into Boston!!!“
