“Good not have picked a better place to start a New England spring break! Good inexpensive food in a setting full of yesteryear charm. We ate at the bar and enjoyed conversations with other patrons and staff. I had an Irish Benedict… benedicts are not my go to either but this was great! We also tried the fried dough. If you visit Marblehead, definitely worth a visit for breakfast or lunch. It’s not large so I imagine there is a bit of a wait at times but totally worth it… also, cash only so make sure you come prepared!“

“My husband and I sat outside and had a lovely snack in the sun, away from most of the hustle & bustle that October brings to Salem. We thoroughly enjoyed the butternut squash hummus, falafel, and cauliflower & quinoa tabouleh but the real highlight for us was the apple cider! Holy. It was the best we had on our trip around New England. Not too sweet, served nice & hot, lightly spiced and so, so good! The service was wonderful as well! “What a great night! We thought we were going to a fundraiser, but after checking the ticket it’s next month🤦🏼‍♀️ So since we were ready for a night out we ventured to Swampscott to check out G Bar! Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar! Had a delicious meal starting with crispy shrimp with sriracha, lemon garlic aioli, cilantro then we shared a Caesar salad, lightly dressed and not too garlicky and had Wasabi tuna and NY Strip steak for our entrees! Yummo!! Patrons were so nice, as was all the staff! Andrew was a great bartender and seemed to know everyone there! Great vibe, great food! “Found this restaurant last week and found a gem, food and service were exceptional. Could not believe the price, I ordered two pupusas with a can of soda. When the bill arrived, it was only a little over $5…… the restaurant is sunny and well decorated….I recommend it, you won’t be disappointed.“

“We met our son and two grandsons for Saturday morning breakfast. Food was good, fast, eggs done perfectly with not too much grease, and generous portions. Staff were excellent. Loved the meal.“

“My wife and I have not had much luck with dining out lately so when it came to picking a restaurant for our anniversary dinner I was nervous that I would find the right place. I came across Nine Elm and read the reviews. They were amazing. So we made a reservation but I was still cautiously optimistic. Things could not have gone better! We arrived and where we were seated was noising, not what we wanted for an anniversary dinner. When I asked the waitress if there was a quieter spot she went to speak to the manager in we were moved immediately. The general atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the staff is very friendly but professional. The wine was lovely and the food delicious. We ordered the duck and the swordfish special and they were both cooked to perfection. For dessert we split a Creme Brule. The custard was light and creamy a pleasant surprise. We had an amazing time. We will be back!“

“Been here several times with my daughters - the food is always excellent. Top-notch pupusas, great staples like carne asada, quesadillas for the less adventurous. Also, solid breakfast.

“As the inventor of the fried clam, this place destroyed almost all other places that sell fried clams.
The fried clams that I had here yesterday were the best that I ever had! The slaw was good too.
This place is huge and is able to handle large crowds.
There are two separate lines/counters for beverages vs food. There are free drink refills on the fountain drinks.
The staff here does a great job.
I am thankful that I learned of this place and was able to go here.
They offer ice cream, but it is seasonal.
I really do need to reassess my prior fried clam restaurant choices…

“Cala’s is the Bee’s Knees! I am blown away with the quality of food and especially the service! Golden nachos COVERED in tender pulled pork and fresh cheese, chicken tenders are hand battered and well seasoned, hand cut french fries cooked to perfection. Food and service have been superb, consistent, and dependable. Definitely a regular spot for us.“

“It was my first time at the new location and wow it’s huge! Like the 3x the old one.

We came on a Saturday night around 10pm and it was bumping with a dj and a lively crowd.

Drinks were good and food was okay which is fine. We were going more for the drinks anyways.

We did run into a little bit of a pickle where I was charged twice a different amount (I get it. Mistakes happen!) and the manager Chris was awesome and remedied the problem quickly.

This bar is for people who love watching games because there are plenty TVs!“

“This is my third time visiting this landmark restaurant. It has not disappointed. It may be dated to keep us with the historicity of the hotel, but don't let that fill you from the bar to the dessert, this is a must when coming to Boston. Revere is about 20 mins from Boston Logan. It was Friday, so the specials were bone in prime rib, lobster linguini and veal Parmesan. These were absolutely delicious! Very generous portions and the service was impeccable-Nico took care of us. The bar drinks were good and the signature side car accompanied our martinis. Come for the history, seascape and mostly delicious food!“

“Fantastic Dining Experience at Sophia’s!

During my recent 4-day stay at the Marriott Peabody, I had the pleasure of dining at Sophia’s a couple of times, and every visit was outstanding. I tried the Bam Bam Shrimp one night and the Fish & Chips another, along with several adult beverages. Everything I ordered was excellent.

The Bam Bam Shrimp had a perfect kick of spice without being overpowering, and the Fish & Chips were lightly battered, crispy, and generously portioned. The drinks were also top-notch and paired nicely with the meals.

Sophia’s quickly became one of the highlights of my trip. I highly recommend stopping in—great food, great drinks, and a great experience overall!“

“Great pizza, have always liked the pizza here. Last night we ordered 2 pizzas to go since we currently can’t eat out. Place was very slow with few customers but the pizza was good, hot and ready when I picked it up. Order out people and help them out. Glad we ordered here for dinner on Tuesday.“
