Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar! Had a delicious meal starting with crispy shrimp with sriracha, lemon garlic aioli, cilantro then we shared a Caesar salad, lightly dressed and not too garlicky and had Wasabi tuna and NY Strip steak for our entrees! “We came by on our first day coming into Salem, Massachusetts. We came in at about 2:00 in the afternoon and there was a farmers market going on across the street. It was a wonderful lively place to sit and people watch. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, made sure our drink stayed topped off and kept us with great glasses of ice, cold water and on top of all that the lobster roll came out with such a delicate blend of butter and seasonings. “500 Ocean is a beautiful property with some amazing amenities. It is in a great location, surrounded by ocean views, restaurants and very accessible to the T, literally right below the building. My husband and I had a great experience living here and had rarely any issues. The main issue we had at move-in was addressed and we were even offered a small gift for the inconvenience. I love the maintenance staff and they are always so pleasant and helpful. One of my favorite parts of living here was having an in-house fitness coach/ personal trainer- Cienna Jade! She is so amazing to work with and has really helped me along my fitness journey. It was so convenient having her come to the 500 Ocean gym, which is one of the best gyms I've seen in an apartment home. She conducts 1 on 1 sessions and will literally work with you on scheduling a time that's convenient for you as well as offering group or couple sessions! Overall, very pleasant experience!“

One odd thing was that the tv closest to us had an infomercial on dental implants during a good portion of our visit. I’d think someone in management would be paying attention to that. Maybe put a baseball game on? I didn’t mention it because our bartender was busy keeping everyone fed and happy. She was great. They served my delicious fried clams is a plastic bucket which was unusual. All the clams were under the mountain of fries. The awesome bartender got me a big plate so I could empty the bucket and enjoy my lunch.“

He gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other with cocktails (about an hour!), He paid for a round of drinks because we wanted to order from the brunch menu but missed it because we talked for so long. He said it was his fault for not reminding us! Unheard of! He let us have a leisurely 3 hour lunch, with no pressure at all, and was very attentive when we needed him. He even sent over a delicious birthday dessert without even being asked! Russell is The Best!!“
