“First time there, was on a whim due to a Google search for burgers. Snappy Patty’s did not disappoint!! The cheeseburgers, tots, and beignets were on point!! Delicious, well cooked, and well seasoned!!! I’m from the south and this is the FIRST place I have ever recommended for burgers. The decor is phenomenal!! The colors and pics on the wall.. you have to see it!! Everything from Sesame Street, Star Wars, to classic rockers are present on the walls!! The music is the perfect level!! You can talk and have as conversation, but still have background music. Something I have found is not always the case. The staff is unbelievable. I felt like I was a regular that had been going for years! The communication with ordering to hid the staff works senselessly together is an added bonus to this experience. Yes, experience.. when all your senses are activated.. a restaurant/bar isn’t just a place for food and drinks. It’s a place that comes to life. It was lovely and everything we ordered was 10/10 in every way (salmon and roast chicken entrees with Brussels sprouts and truffle potato pavé sides). Ordered espresso martini off the dessert menu as my main drink for the night and the Alaskan drink was also great/strong. Right next to Offsuit!“

“June bug is such a hidden gem. Tucked away in Somerville, this spot offers such high-quality food in such a low-key atmosphere. Dope aesthetic, great music, cool staff and good vibes. By far, this is my fave date spot. The shrimp toast is otherworldly, the "like a pepperoni" is such a home run, and the flan (with subtle citrus notes) is like a dessert descended from heaven. Hands down best spot in Somerville.

Parking: Parking can get a little dicey, but if you stick around long enough, something typically opens up at the on-site parking lot.“

“Fabulous evening. I made my reservation a month ago and was surprised when we were seated in a faraway corner on the lower level. We asked to move upstairs and the host gladly accommodated us. Our server was attentive and friendly and made great recommendations. Calamari was a little salty, but everything else was perfect! This is always my favorite pre-ballet spot. A nice espresso martini is just right to stay awake for the rest of the evening!“

“We went to cook on a Sunday for brunch on a table of 5 with 3 kids. Our server was Johnny who not only had everything on point but did absolutely everything to make sure we felt welcome, the kids were entertained (with extra drawings and crayons requests) and all that while he was training another server.

The food was really good (so much so that we plan to come back soon), we had draft and cocktails and we just didn’t try dessert, but the ambiance was nice, wasn’t too full and is definitely a great location to come back to.“

“Here’s a revieWe had a decent meal at The Abby. The food itself was good, but we had a small issue with the salad. I had asked to substitute the fries for a salad, and while I appreciated the option, it came already dressed. I personally liked the dressing, but I usually prefer my salads without it, and would have appreciated being asked. Unfortunately, my partner didn’t like the dressing at all and ended up not eating her salad. A small thing, but it would’ve made a difference if they had checked with us first.“

“My boyfriend and I went per the recommendation of a colleague and it did NOT disappoint. We had the dumplings and flatbread for an appetizer, which were delicious, but the entrees and dessert stole the show. The chicken dish was so tasty. The carrot cake/cheesecake hybrid dessert with salted caramel ice cream was incredible. Our waiter was so helpful when it came down to picking what to eat and was so pleasant all night. it’s like the food gets better and better. I ordered the Whiskey Glazed Burger and it was delicious, Sabrina was our waiter that day. She is super sweet and understanding when I experienced a small interruption from my burger.

“Always make a priority of coming here when in Boston. The service is excellent and they’ve come to add an even more personal touch as I’ve gone back again and again. Sitting at the counter viewing the kitchen is a must. You see all the action and gorgeous plating as it takes shape.
Absolutely recommend the wine pairings. They are always interesting but also approachable, sophisticated but never intimidating or overwhelming.
Also recommend opting in for the foie gras special when they have it. It changes with the seasons (as does the rest of the menu) and I’ve loved it every time.

“This restaurant is dope. The interior is warm and inviting. It’s modern and chic. Definitely an elevated hipster vibe. A chill spot to hang out after work or nice date night. The food is bomb! For apps, I’ve never had a Chinese-inspired arancini. These crispy delights are addicting with their crack sauce. The sauce is a must have on the arancini. The salad is light and refreshing. The Kokoda is a well made dish. I never had blue fin tuna until I came here. The combo with the fresh fish with the acidity from the lemon juice and smooth finish of coconut sauce - oof, worth a try. There’s also another surprise about the Kokoda - there’s something called sea grapes 🍇 and were bursting of flavor and freshness. A nice addition to the dish. I could go for seconds with the Kokoda because it’s a bit small for me. I wish they made it 2x bigger so it could be more shareable with a date or with company. The Maine Uni was surprisingly delicious 😋. I honestly thought it was too expensive but after having it, it was an amazing amuse bouche (the perfect bite). I couldn’t believe that small bite packed so much flavor and complexity. It was balanced and left me feeling happy. Totally worth it. For mains, the pork belly adobo melts in your mouth. So good! The mushroom raviolis are my favorite out of this menu. The salted duck egg sauce is what makes this dish memorable. I would definitely eat this again. The bitter melon ratatouille is not my favorite because it wasn’t seasoned enough for me. It felt as though it was missing salt. The veggies were perfectly roasted though, but it didn’t quite smack like the other dishes. The ribeye is good, but not my favorite. I might be biased because I’ve had better at other places. For desserts, the pandan sorbet is tasty. I’m not a fan of the pandan taste. It’s definitely an acquired taste, but I enjoyed it because I love avocados and bananas and in ice cream form? No brainer. I wished they had a version without the pandan flavoring. I’m curious as to how it would taste then. The matcha cheesecake is surprisingly well-balanced. Not too matcha where it’s overbearing. The matcha is subtle while the richness of the cheesecake smacks just right and not overly sugary. The late night menu - I only tried the Chicharrón taco 🌮. The combo of crispy pork belly and the acidity from the lime is perf. Nothing else to say. Surprisingly really filling. I probably can’t have more than 2 of these tacos and I’m a pretty big guy. The drinks - I love the names and how they have a play on words. The blood orange and the banana espresso are my favorite. These drinks have enough booze and not too much where it’s offensive. Blood orange is enjoyable to drink and the banana espresso is complex with a chocolate finish. Their nice, clean cocktails. Service was awesome! The servers were friendly and quick. They regularly checked in with my wife and me. I don’t think I even had to do the awkward “please help us” lean at all. They were there when you needed them! Amazing 5 star service! You want a culinary experience. This place won’t disappoint.“

“We had a wonderful experience and have returned a few times. All of our dishes were tasty except for the ninebark salad. It was delicious although for the price they were extremely skimpy with the lettuce, and I finished my salad and watched everyone else enjoy their dishes. If you charge that price point for a salad I believe you should be generous with the foundation of the dish which is lettuce.“

“The Jerk Lamb Chops will change your life if you are a fan of spicy food. They are tender, perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned. Admittedly, if you are not a fan of spicy food they're probably not your vibe but if you are they will make as happy as they made me.

“We recently stayed in Newton for a mini vacation from Canada (visiting Boston). Every night of our stay we ate at this restaurant. I know, not overly adventurous but when the food is this good and the atmosphere is right, why bother looking? You won’t find better! We tried: - Pan seared chicken: AMAZING. - Fish and chips: when you live on the east coast it’s hard to get good fish and chips but these hit the mark! - Filet Mignon: Full of flavour and tender. - Steak Tips: Again, tender and full of flavour. - Risotto: Wonderfully strong mushroom flavour but yet offset with a field of flavours. - Scallops: Seared to perfection. - Short-rib Meatballs: Meat and cheese combo to die for. - Calamari: Another difficult one to get right and find fresh! This was one of my favourite with the dip and hot peppers. - Sirloin: Cooked to perfection, flavour was a hit and a good portion size, well worth the money. THE HOUSE SALAD: All I can say, EMAIL ME THE RECIPE FOR THE DRESSING!! This was the best item for me on the menu. Fresh, simple and full of flavour. I got it with every meal. So to recap: 10/10“

Modern lighting, not to bright, but not too dark. Almost a space like atmosphere. Clean, tidy and top notch. The menu is inviting with many choices. Appetizers, meals and even desert...try the Ruben it is mouth watering! Also if Damian is working the kitchen that night your going to end up with the most flavorful meal.
