“I went purely as I know it has a Subway within. No need for the larger establishment. Ordered, ate and left.
Those working there were hardworking and enjoyable.
Forget names apologies. However fast and correct customer/food service.
Knowledge of menu and prices as well. General restaurant area was of relative cleanliness.
Excellently splendid.“

“It's a very clean location, the family that works there is very nice and will be generous with the toppings if you ask nicely. The toppings were all organized and not a mess. Only issue is they don't accept coupons on the phone unless you did an online order.“

“I feel like this place is well over priced for the portion size that is considerate a regular size but in my opinion it's a small size for the price we pay
I will only go to this place only if I'm desperate for something to eat when nothing else is open around there“

“Tiny place. But they know what they’re doing. Went in one of these freezing days. Thankfully there wasn’t too many people waiting, a lot of DoorDash orders I noticed. Was able to wait/ eat inside at the little counter even with the bulk of my jacket. Probably the most delicious breakfast sandwich I ever had/ will ever have. The bacon was perfect and the sourdough was insane. I was worried about it being too greasy and heavy but it was actually fine. The two guys working were great and friendly. Heard the cashier giving recs to everybody.“

“Polite, fast and love the no tipping culture (makes you want to tip yourself!). Food is great and the portions are amazingly huge. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is hungry and doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg. The subs are to die for!“

“Haven't been to this place in years but, boy sm I glad I did. Got a steak onion and cheese sub at 8 AM, because I could order that at what would be other shops " Breakfast only" time. Nice soft roll ,steak NOT chopped to oblivious gravel like other shops. This spot IS the spot for a steak and cheese . I'm gonna go back and try all the ol standards again done right. Kudos. Can't wait to try a simple hit dog. Believe it or not, people screw that up . But according to the reviews I've seen, they're done just right. It's really nice to know that these non pretentecious simply good food places still do exist.“

“I stopped by Al’s State Street Cafe while walking around Boston’s Financial District, and it turned out to be a great spot for a quick lunch. The place is small and simple, but it’s always busy with locals grabbing sandwiches to go.
I ordered one of their subs, and the first thing I noticed was the bread — fresh, soft inside with a nice crust outside. The sandwich was huge and packed with fillings, so it felt like really good value for the price. Al’s is especially known for classics like chicken salad, steak and cheese, and Italian subs.
The service is fast and efficient, which makes sense because many people come here during their lunch break. It’s not a fancy restaurant, but the food is fresh, satisfying, and perfect if you want a solid sandwich in downtown Boston.
Overall, Al’s State Street Cafe is one of those simple local spots that does one thing really well: big, delicious subs at a reasonable price.“

“If you’re in Boston and craving a seriously good sandwich, you’ve got to check out Figaro’s Sandwich Shop. Everything is fresh, piled high, and packed with flavor. The bread is perfect, the ingredients taste top quality, and the portions are more than generous. The staff is friendly and keeps things moving, even when it’s busy. Honestly, this place is wicked good. Whether you’re grabbing lunch on the go or meeting up with friends, Figaro’s never disappoints. Definitely one of my go-to spots in the city!“

““ Masterpieces in the form of Sandwiches “ These people @ Michael’s Deli don’t make sandwiches they make masterpieces. When my immigrant parents said “ Study Hard” they meant so I can live in a neighborhood that serves sandwiches like those found at Michael’s Deli. Even if you don’t live close take the train , fly , drive or walk . These sandwiches are phenomenal.“

“The best banh mi you can find in Boston outside of Dorchester! Highly recommend the lemongrass beef sandwich 😋 easily customizable too on ordering screens (+/- and more or less of mayo, pâté, jalapeños, veggies on the side, etc) the service is always really friendly as well. Not many places where $9 gets you food like this nowadays!“

“My family stopped in for breakfast and we all got different breakfast sandwiches. They were all delicious. I had the avacado smash I think it was called. It was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Very much enjoyed the staff's banter while we waited. The staff checked on us several times. 5 stars. Highly recommend!“

“Stopped by on a whim & ordered a chicken and grilled pepper quesadilla. When I opened the box there was a salad and fries as well unbeknownst to me. Whatever dressing they use, fantastic. The quesadilla Phenomenal! Will definitely be going back the food is delicious 😁“

“This is a place near our Boston office. When I’m there I try to find new places to try and this one didn’t let me down.
The panini was killer. I had the grilled chicken and it was great. Everything seemed fresh including the bread which maybe is made there? 5/5
They also have Richardson ice cream and I’m always down for that.
It’s a small place so don’t go to sit and eat. But the staff is friendly. Good selection. 5/5“

“I wish I took pictures yesterday but I had the ( PETER PETER CAESAR CAESAR) this was absolutely delicious, this was my first time eating anything here & I got take out/delivery. Very well constructed sandwich, only thing I will say is … it’s a greasy sandwich the bottom bread was very greasy while eating. Maybe something not to eat frequently if you care about the greasiness. Otherwise flavors 10/10 would eat again 😂👌🏾“

“My first meal in Boston in years, and it was pretty solid. This place just feels Boston- lots of sports/other city references.
Food was alright- my sandwich was very filling but could’ve used some more seasoning. Really affordable and I was full afterwards though.“

“I’ve been to plenty of Subways, but this one in Roslindale is hands down the best. All Subways are not created equal—and this location proves it.
Shoutout to Jay. One New Year’s Eve, I dropped $40 in the store. He found it, held onto it, and waited for me to come back so he could return it. That kind of honesty is rare and says everything about the people who run this place.
The staff is always friendly, respectful, and on point. You can genuinely feel the difference when you walk in. Great service, good energy, and people who actually care.
Can’t say enough good things about this Subway. Roslindale does it right.“

“Owner is really friendly (but also sassy, in a good way) and also gives off elder queer vibes. Extremely hospitable.
Interior feels a little old, but in a nostalgic way that reminds you of a home full of love.
Relatively quiet, extraordinarily low prices especially in this day and age (the $8 sandwiches really caught me off guard), and the tuna melt I had was quite literally the best sandwich I’ve ever had, no exaggeration.
10/10, would definitely come here again.“

“Went on a Sunday lunch. Got the traditional 1/4lb of pastrami, was quite good. Don't think pastrami can get much better. If you want NYC delicassen flavor, ask to reduce whatever salty sauce they put in. Overall worth it given downtown Boston (13$), plus you don't have to tip.
Gave 4 star because it's just pastrami, but again as good as pastrami can get.“
“Simply the best; the talented assistant manager must've been trained by Mr. Mike himself cuz the sub I received can't be described as anything less than a textbook example of superhuman perfection in the culinary arts. Bia, the assisstant manager, mesmerized me with their elegant dance at the grill while David toasted the golden loaf to the exact right level of rigidity, before it all came together as countless layers of cheeses, vegetables, and sauces were draped over one another. Then Bia wrapped the sub with flawless technique, sealing the various rich flavors in place. Clean to the point of almost sterile (in a good way), staff are warm and friendly and share a lovely community amongst one another, in my experience at least double as busy but half the wait time as the other miserable fast food joints it neighbors. Life changing.“
