“My new favorite restaurant! Went to Waxwing for the first time tonight. We shared the oysters, green salad, pasta Bolognese and Fluke special, chocolate torte, butterscotch pot de creme Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Great craft cocktail options and wine. The atmosphere was very intimate, the music was great, the service was exceptional. Did I say the service was exceptional? “Wheelhouse catering was one of our best hires for our wedding. I am gluten free and finding a caterer that would do a 100% gluten free wedding was something at the top of my list. I had narrowed down my search to a few and Wheelhouse stood out to me with both fair prices, great communication, and I really felt like they cared. Better yet they didn't upcharge me for it, which is something the GF community is sadly more than use to. Our custom dishes were delicious, we even had a Nasi Lemak which is a traditional Malaysian dish (where my husband is from). My husband was very impressed at our tasting as were the other Malaysian guests at our wedding. They clearly did their research!Our wedding had many guests with their own allergies including dairy, walnuts, peanuts, garlic, onions, and so much more. I had one guest who couldn't have a single dish we designed and they called ahead of time to custom make a dish that was safe for them that they would enjoy! Every single guest was spoken too by the staff and was individually brought out their plates. I was told by so many people how great, cared for, and safe they felt eating their food. As someone who has lots of anxiety around food I absolutely loved hearing that.Wheelhouse was great from start to finish. “My best friend and I stumbled upon this very upscale but casual restaurant overlooking shellburne falls! I wish I could bring this place and all the staff back to New Haven, CT because it would be THE SPOT to go. We’re loved the atmosphere, the food, the service, everything. I couldn’t even scrounge up something negative to say. We sat at the beautiful bar and had the absolute pleasure of meeting the bartender, Casey. SHE IS PERFECTION! Don’t ever let her go and if you do….. send her to New Haven CT. We left with full bellies, full hearts, and definitely a stack of desserts to go!!!! Let’s get into the food:We started off with the crispy polenta, which tasted like a crispy, crunchy garlicky polenta egg soufflé… It was absolutely FAHKING heaven. We also shared a really fresh beet salad with walnuts and goat cheese, and a tangy citrus dressing. It was kind of standard, but it was also absolutely perfect and delicious roughage.Then for dinner, my friend Eliza had the rack of lamb that was cooked, perfectly medium rare, and it was laying on top of the creamiest, mashed potatoes and other sautéed veggies. I had the swordfish, which I have never had before, in my entire life, and it was pretty mind blowing, the fish slathered in this creamy basil lemon sauce and served over basmati rice. SO GOOD!!!! We didn’t have the opportunity to take photos of the food because we were too busy shoving it down our faces!If you’re ever in the area, this place is a must go to! They are local. They support local. And if I was local I’d be there weekly!“

“Perfectly delicious hamburgers, paddy melts, fries and onion rings. I saw a whole bunch of other sandwiches and items on their menu but I was a craving a bacon cheeseburger so my friend and I came here for a late lunch one afternoon after checking out the Montague Book Mill. Decor is clearly very dated but I find that adds to the charm. More importantly, place is very clean and given that it was a rainy, coldish kind of day outside, we lucked out and snagged a table beside the wrought-iron wood-burning fireplace. Even though it was late in the afternoon, the place surprisingly filled up quickly with other patrons. Foodwise, absolutely no complaints, they do all the old standbys perfectly well and even had Trader Joe's Organic Ketchup on each table. If I'm in the area in the summer, I definitely want to try out their ice cream.“

“Simply excellent. We were seated promptly even on a busy Saturday night however they had some games to enjoy during our short wait. Home brewed beer was delicious. I had the gold and my husband had the stout. Both excellent. My daughter enjoyed the lemon lime homemade soda. Tons of great food choices even for kids and all meals were enjoyed. Highly recommend.“

“It had been a dream of mine when i was young to own my very own grilled cheese food truck but I was told time and time again how silly and unrealistic that would be...I write before you now an experience that proves that you shouldn't stand in the way of others dreams. Eating at a window seat overlooking the water is nice. It can be a bit tight and crowded sometimes, but I have no complaints. After a while I started noticing interesting folks coming and going while my friend and I enjoyed our dinner, and our waitress seemed to be someone we had already known. “Having just returned from a trip to Costa Rica a week ago, I was missing that flavor. Located in the Cowls District in North Amherst, Cisco's satisfied my cravings! I had the Tipica 503 and my wife had the breakfast burrito with homemade tomatada salsa. Both were outstanding! I texted my travel companions immediately to let them know about this place. The burrito was plentiful, and topped with cheese. The 503 plate of eggs, chourica, beans, avocado, toast, and FRIED PLANTAINS was delightful! Everything came out hot and you can tell the food is fresh. As this is on our route from home to NH, we will be coming regularly this summer!“

“OMG There is overpriced and then there is insult to injury. $7.25 for a 2 shot latte is just insane, and according to your menu board makes no sense since a 2 shot large latte is 6.2?. The place was packed so maybe I am just insane. The latte was warm and had bubbles in the milk. Teach your employees how to think outside the box when charging , all that had to be done was ring up a large latte and note 12 ounce cup.“

“Stopped for an early lunch. Some of us enjoyed breakfast and some of us enjoyed lunch. Our food was delicious and very hot. Our service was friendly and fast. The coffee was warm and delicious. The service and food is consistently excellent with ingredients from local farmers. Blue Heron offers an upscale dining experience and is very close to Mount Sugarloaf, Tree House Brewing Company, Yankee Candle and more! I highly recommend the Ricotta & Honey small plate and Curried Vegetable Tian although there isn't anything on their menu I wouldn't try. The Chocolate Truffle Torte with espresso ice cream is a great way to finish a perfect meal!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options never tasted so good. I am not sure if it is available all the time but the Curried Vegetable Tian is fantastic!Dietary restrictions: While they offer a wide range of choices, many are gluten-free and vegetarian or vegan-friendly.“

“Very fun lively place to get a healthy American style breakfast with their pure maple syrup. It was crowded for us on a Sunday morning and the food took a pretty long time but its pleasant to chillax at one of their picnic tables to wait. You can also buy maple syrup, maple frosted donuts, maple fudge. I also had a talk with the guys in the back running the maple syrup boiling machines to learn how the process works. Probably good for kids to learn about. Worth the stop if you are in the area. Great for families and a real authentic "New England" experience.“

“A solid place. Was passing through the area with a group of 6 on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away. Our waitress was pleasant and checked on us just enough. The 1 star was lost due to the wait. It took about 30 minutes to get the appetizer and another 15 for the food. Otherwise all of the food we got was great. My party had the black bean burger, the mushroom Swiss burger, stuffed haddock, fish and chips, bbq chicken wings, chicken fingers, french onion soup and fries. I heard no complaints about the food and we all left with leftovers. Will certainly return!“

“I’ve been here twice now and I have enjoyed it each time! I got blackened fish tacos which were to die for, they did them so well. It was hard not to get them when I went the second time, but I got the salmon instead and was not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly. Broccoli was steamed quickly I think and then also browned off, but still had a bit of crisp to them. Also got the Brussels sprout appetizer and we devoured them, they were amazing!
