“An impromtu visit to celebrate a work win. Always a fantastic meal, my wife's favorite steak prep method with the butter on her ribeye. The creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes are big faovorites too. Wine and coctails were equally satisfying and very well prepared. Service was very polite and timely but not obtrusive. Never an easy task and usually a challenge keeping our teenager's water glass full and napkin supply sufficient! We'll be back again soon!“

“This is the first review I've ever written (seriously!), and to be honest I'm writing it as I sit here with a friend of mine looking at the website, talking about miscellaneous stuff (like me not having ever written a review), and I was telling her about when my partner and I went to Zuzu's Petals a couple of years ago (my friend will be in Cambridge soon and I was giving her a recommendation).

We love this place! We're not regulars as we only go to Boston occasionally to see my partner's sister and family, but whenever we're in town we try to go at least one night. It's so refreshing to have a space with no phones, at least for a little while, YA KNOW?!? Of course I'm writing this on a screen, so the irony is not lost on me, but a break from screens? I'll take it.

Last time we were there the record player (vinyl, of course!) was playing Bowie, Stones among others - again, refreshing to hear full albums - and I think we had a cheese plate and few glasses of wine and of course dessert. It's always been a nice time for us and we highly recommend! And thus dear reader we reach the conclusion of my post: my friend and I both agree, since I'm sharing this restaurant suggestion with her, why not share it with the world?!?!? (Like I said, it's my first time and this was fun to write...)“

“nathalie was amazing! staff was so nice, attentive, friendly, and helpful. they offered us great recommendation. food was really good too, albeit limited. I love that they will do half bottles of any of the bottles on the menu, and then you can get a glass if someone else opened a bottle already. it really makes for a lot of options which i appreciated. I had a mediocre experience at haley.henly but this experience made me want to give their sister bar another shot. overall, great experience! highly recommend!“

“The food and drinks were excellent. 5:30 reservation right when they opened-probably wouldn't do that again. Everyone got sat at the same time and made for a long wait. Didnt get drinks until 5:52. Total dining time was 2 hours. Found street parking but I can see where this wouldn't be as possible during busier times of year. Bar is first come first serve and people start lining up around 4:30.“

“Everything 10/10. From start to finish — the food, hospitality, music, vibes. We sat at the bar with Renato who was just the best. We tried the meatballs, garlic bread (omg?), the pepperoni with pearl onions, roasted squash pizza and tiramisu — from start to finish everything was absolutely incredible. They give you the check in a Copy of the Constitution! Recommend but why are you not accessible! Such a contradiction of your stated philosophy. Should at least put it on your website with your apology“

We dined here by chance initial and ate at the bar which we like to do to take in the ambience and atmosphere and this place has that in abundance, so much so we actually decided to eat their 2 nights on the run, largely because of the truly amazing experience provided by Miguel and the stunning food. “My group ordered the bone marrow hush puppies, bavette steak, prime rib, and monkfish. Only the prime rib met expectations. The monkfish consisted of 3 small slices sitting on cubed root vegetables. The lobster broth was pretty bland and was not enough to salvage an otherwise meh dish. The bavette was cooked well, but our piece contained a lot of sinew and was other connective tissue. Lastly, the desserts left a lot to be desired. We were in a rush so had to have our two desserts packed to go. One was a lanna cotta that came with the prime rib and we ordered an apple tart. We either did not receive the lanna cotta or it was more a cheesecake that looked and tasted nothing like a panna cotta. The apple tart also either lacked components or was not as described. Overall...pretty mundane meal.“

“Mark and Toni's might have a bit of an outdated atmosphere, but their food is really really good. I eat out about once a week, and this is usually my go-to place 50% of the time. Their side of chicken tenders is the best in the area, the meatless sub is super well balanced and has excellent flavor, and they have good other things too (fries, chicken parm, etc.). I will say that their pizza is mid.“

“I killed some time here while my daughter was at a concert next door. I just had a mocktail, which was tasty, and I appreciated that they had several mocktail options listed on the drink menu. I was a little hungry, but none of the food sounded especially good and seemed a little overpriced, so I just stuck with my drink and grabbed a bite later.
It was a Friday night, and they were doing karaoke. The karaoke dj cut my song off less than halfway in, which was a first for me at karaoke, but maybe I'm just a much worse singer than I realized lol. It was still fun and a nice way to kill some time.
It seems like they have fun ongoing special events as well as some game tables. I think this would be a fun place to grab a drink with friends or come after a concert.“
