“We go to Eastern Standard for a nice leisurely meal after a afternoon Red Sox game. Wait staff is attentive and Johnny on the spot when taking and discussing your order. “Not only is The Substation in Roslindale perfect for the Workhub Community space, but they also have a full bar and public programming now! “VERY cool vibes! Even cooler this place is behind a random door in the alley of an alley.
The drinks were good, but $22/drink made us stay for only one. We thought there would be something cool like dry ice or something for that price. One of our drinks came in a horn, which was cool. The other was basically an espresso martini. The bartender put on a neat show.
It felt like there needed to be one more bartender and one less server. It’s a very small room so the servers seemed like they were standing around a bit waiting for the bartender. We waited a pretty long time for our drinks.

Our family has been going through hard times and we don’t live in the MetroWest area, but we’ve been staying with our family and this restaurant has been absolutely amazing supportive and they offer great food! I’m from Connecticut and there is one pizza place that tops this restaurant but they are definitely number two because this is what I look forward to every weekend! The drinks and atmosphere is amazing and everyone is so friendly! They even have our favorite shot in a handle available when we come to the restaurant they bring it out for us! They really go above and beyond! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting this area!“

“We stopped in on the way home from the airport, and it was amazing! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. The atmosphere and food were awesome. I highly recommend the Mickey’s Chicken special and the red sangria which was a deep dark red- as sangria should be. Yum! My children loved our Irish waitress who Made them laugh and feel special. This restaurant is over an hour from where we live, but there is no doubt we will travel back often. Wonderful experience!“

“Really impressed with this restaurant! I've developed dietary restrictions due to health reasons which have prevented me from going to a lot of restaurants. When my friend planned a going away dinner here, I reached out via email asking if it was possible for them to accommodate me. They wrote back an extremely kind response saying they were looking forward to hosting me- that really made my day. “First time at Cityside last night and it was great! The Nachos were so good I wish we had gotten a large, the buffalo wings had a nice crisp to them which made them amazing. For entrees I had the fish tacos which were good but not all that and my fiancé had the cheesesteaks which can’t be compared to cheesesteaks on the North shore but still good. The drinks were good but pretty pricey. My fiancé liked every drunk he got besides the Mai Tai. It was super nice being on the roof top which made the entire night 💕 I definitely would recommend.“

“A good friend of mine let me know that McGath's was going to start serving bar pizza. I decided to stop by and grab a bar pie for take out. I sat at the bar and ordered my pie to do and a Stella on Draft for the wait. Service was great and the Bar Pie was cooked to order and boxed up and delivered bar side. Cash Only place but an ATM on site if needed. As for the take out bar pie perfect crust sauce and cheese ratio was on point.“

She also loved her martini, saying it was strong and refreshing. The sweet potato fries w/buffalo sauce and ranch were really good. Overall, still a solid spot that I enjoy coming back to.“

“I love StockYard. We haven't been in a long time as we moved faraway. Now, after 10 years we came back and it was like we never stopped coming to eat here. The food was super delicious. The NY Sirloin, and the tenderness of the Fille Minog was extraordinary. Outstanding customer service. The drinks were superb. And the complimentary chocolate cake with ice cream for Father's day was out of this world. Thank you.“

“this public House feels like a public home. there is a great community of regular customers who are really nice people. they offer a full bar and food. there is an outdoor area with great ambiance and games. they have a lot of fun weekly activities like karaoke and live music. they also just got in a new pool table with beautiful new cloth and balls. I myself don't actually drink anymore so I don't spend a lot of money when I go there but I am treated like I am important, welcome and wanted. this is a great place to hang out. this is a real review. I don't work for this place in any capacity. I found it a couple of months ago and I'm glad that I did.“

“Faccia a Faccia is my family's favorite restaurant to celebrate our birthdays. We always have the best time enjoying the ambiance, service, food, and drinks! Last night we had the mozzarella sticks which are the best! Grandma's bread, which my dad said he had been thinking since last year! The chicken Milanese which is our absolute favorite! We tried a new dish the Corn Cappelletti which was incredible! John, our server was amazing and made our dinner top tier! Thank you Faccia a Faccia, we cannot wait to come back!“

“Pizza is just getting better it was terrible for a while but the last few months best ever. Whoever improved and made it the way we always have known thank you. We have been having this pizza since way back in the 80’s when it was at the railroad station when every pizza was perfect. Glad too see that same quality again. “We stopped in just before 5pm on a Saturday and thankfully we did because the place got busy quickly. There was plenty of staff working to handle the night. One of us ordered a 2 meat tray with brisket & pork belly. The chosen sides were basement potato salad and Mac & cheese. The other ordered a pulled pork tray. Sides were coleslaw and Mac & cheese. Both had sweet tea and shared a bucket of biscuits w honey butter. The best part was the pulled pork. It was wicked moist and flavorful. I feel the brisket was a bit dry, but there are 3 sauces on the side. We loved the biscuits with honey butter and the Mac & cheese was good. Our meal came to about $77, before tip. The staff are mostly efficient but our waiter could have been better. He didn't ask what we wanted to drink when he greeted us, he wasn't very personable in comparison to another waiter who gave very detailed descriptions of the specials when speaking to a table next to us. We asked for a sweet tea refill and didn't get it. Seemed sporadic, but not new. We'd go back though to try it again.“
