“We stopped in on the way home from the airport, and it was amazing! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. The atmosphere and food were awesome. I highly recommend the Mickey’s Chicken special and the red sangria which was a deep dark red- as sangria should be. Yum! My children loved our Irish waitress who Made them laugh and feel special. This restaurant is over an hour from where we live, but there is no doubt we will travel back often. Wonderful experience!“

“We didn’t make the first seating but got on the waiting list and were called back less than an hour later! Seating was comfortable. We ordered the fried chicken sandwiches and 4 of the cocktails. They were unique and delicious. It’s dark and a little challenging to see but it was kind of fun reading by the candlelight.“

“We go to Eastern Standard for a nice leisurely meal after a afternoon Red Sox game. Wait staff is attentive and Johnny on the spot when taking and discussing your order. Food has always been prepared as we like it. Quality, Quantity and presentation prevails. Thanks to the entire staff for making each trip to a game a pleasure win or loose.“

“Great atmosphere, especially if you manage to snag one of the booth seats in the back near the rails. In the winter, the snow on the rails was a beautiful sight and somehow very quiet right next to the highway. Place is cozy despite the open concept, love the ball lights and wooden framing.

Food was 10/10 I got a Bleu Cheese burger and fries. The blue cheese was strong and went well with the fried onions. My partner got a chicken sandwich special and she says it was incredibly delicious.

Beer was a great selection from across new england. Places like Lawsons in Vermont and Maine Beer Companies Lunch is a classic that deserves to be in every bar. Allegash's witbier was what I had and it was a perfect light beer for my meal.“

“Master McGrath's is not your Downtown Boston or Newbury Street gentrified bougie hangout. It's for the blue collars, the working folk, and for a pint and a shot or some simple cocktails.

Nothing fancy but then it doesn't need it either. Great neighborhood spot full of regulars who know how to use TouchTunes.

Trivia nights are every other Thursday (watch their instagram for updates @master.mcgraths). Always a blast!!

For food, they are currently working on getting their brand new pizza oven up and running. For now, you can order food delivered there (tons of places nearby) or bring your own. There's no table service but all of the bartenders are attentive and know what they're doing.

TO NOTE: This is a CASH ONLY bar. There's an ATM on site and several others in the vicinity.

Parking is on River st (FREE street parking) or there are a couple of small lots nearby. If going on the weekend, you can also park at Rockland Trust after 5 without fear of being towed.

“this public House feels like a public home. there is a great community of regular customers who are really nice people. they offer a full bar and food. there is an outdoor area with great ambiance and games. they have a lot of fun weekly activities like karaoke and live music. they also just got in a new pool table with beautiful new cloth and balls. I myself don't actually drink anymore so I don't spend a lot of money when I go there but I am treated like I am important, welcome and wanted. this is a great place to hang out. this is a real review. I don't work for this place in any capacity. I found it a couple of months ago and I'm glad that I did.“

Bring your own food in with some good options nearby, they sell rotating chips for $1.50 which is clutch for late night snack. Every employee I ever encountered showed respect and hospitality to their guests. Really isn't a better place in Brighton. The restaurant group has some of the top bars in Boston.

Parking: Easy street parking. 57 bus access. Ubers never a wait.

“First visit to this restaurant with my husband. They were kind enough to take us upon early arrival, but I had to ask for a different table because I didn't want to sit just above where the front door opens. We were seated at the back and the music was too loud for my liking. Our server Sofia was delightful and made our dining experience most pleasant. The food was excellent, but dishes came out all at once and it would have been nice to space things out a bit as I prefer to savor each dish on its own. The other issue was the space is so dark you need a flashlight to read the menu. We weren't the only ones pulling out our phones to get a better look. We had the whipped ricotta, the Brussel sprouts, the octopus and the caesar salad along with a glass of orange wine. If I were to dine again, I would likely sit at the bar and ask to be as far away from the music speakers as possible. There seemed to be more light around the bar area. Being our fist time, we didn't know that. Overall, a special thanks to Sofia for making it a special night!“

“We came here for Thanksgiving. It was absolutely perfect! The ambience and relaxed atmosphere was amazing. My husband and I had the Thanksgiving meal and our kids had the pizza (yea I know :/). The kids ate all of their pizza and loved it. My husband and I loved everything about the Thanksgiving meal. The wine suggestions were top notch. “First time at Cityside last night and it was great! The Nachos were so good I wish we had gotten a large, the buffalo wings had a nice crisp to them which made them amazing. For entrees I had the fish tacos which were good but not all that and my fiancé had the cheesesteaks which can’t be compared to cheesesteaks on the North shore but still good. The drinks were good but pretty pricey. My fiancé liked every drunk he got besides the Mai Tai. It was super nice being on the roof top which made the entire night 💕 I definitely would recommend.“

Everything was wonderful, from the cleanliness of the restaurant, to the decor, to the food to the cappuccino. But what brought it to perfection level, was our server, Kayla. I’ve tried gluten free ramen in the US, Japan, and Europe, and this is the best by far. There’s a $4 extra charge, but it’s worth it. Just a note the soup contains a bit of gluten, so it’s only for people who are ok with that. Must try.“

“Paradise Rock Club is the perfect spot to catch a show. I had not been in over 20 years. Very nostalgic walking in. I drove down from New Hampshire to see a show, and the place just hits that sweet spot - small enough to feel personal, big enough to get loud. It’s all standing room, which actually made it feel like you were part of the band’s energy. Not a bad view from any place.

Drink prices were shockingly good for Boston, which felt like a win the second I walked in. The only thing that threw me was the men’s room - those urinals are packed in tighter than anything I’ve ever seen. You basically need to be on a first‑name basis with the guy next to you.

Other than that? Awesome venue. Great vibe, great sound, totally worth the trip down.“
