“Very tasty food, great service. No reservations, first come first serve. Prices are not super inexpensive but it is worth the cost. We were only grabbing a snack as we had some commitment afterward. There’s definitely some noticeable improvement, though the front-of-house operations could use a bit more coordination. The order pickup process felt a little disorganized, and the girl at the counter—while trying her best—seemed a bit overwhelmed and carried a touch of sass that didn’t help matters.

That said, the food was a standout. The fried chicken bowl was exceptionally fresh and flavorful—far better than expected. Burgers were solid, cooked well, and satisfying. The fries, on the other hand, were a bit too thick and had an off taste I couldn’t quite get past. Lastly, the chicken parm came in a massive portion and was actually quite decent.

I needed to organize a nice dinner for 15 people for my son's birthday. The whole process was absolutely flawless - from initial contact with Igor who took care of all the planning and setup. When we arrived to the restaurant everything was ready and we were treated with utmost attention. The dinner was served family style and we had a chance to pick our menu selections to be shared. The portions were very generous, beautifully decorated and served, service was impeccable. The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone was beyond satisfied and happy. “We love ❤️ this place. The staff is wonderful and attentive. We eat here for “breakfast” every Gameday at Patriot Place. Sunday my wife and I had Cape Cod Maki and a Snow Mountain with Clams Casino as an appetizer and then a broiled seafood over spinach combo for me and steak tips for her and we were thoroughly satisfied until we got home at 6pm. I had a small fish sandwich ? though the condiments are light like only ketchup, Mayo, Tartar sauce or Hot sauce so no lettuce, tomato etc. which I think would have made my sandwich even better. “Casual Szechuan noodle bar that offers comforting flavors.

Szechuan cuisine has always been popular, but the competition in Allston has really been heating up lately. While MH holds the popularity crown by a wide margin, spots like Little Tao often get overshadowed. I've dropped by Little Tao a few times for lunch, and for a place that proudly advertises zero MSG, the flavors were bold.

Little Tao’s signature dishes are undoubtedly their Szechuan noodles, like the Chengdu noodles and Twice Cooked Pork noodles. Each bowl comes bathed in rich chili oil, with savory meat toppings adding that salty/umami punch. Despite the generous pour of chili oil, the spice level is actually pretty manageable. My only gripe? The noodles weren’t fully drained, which thinned out the flavors a bit.

From their regular Szechuan menu, I’ve tried the Mapo Tofu, Pickled Fish Fillet, and Braised Beer Duck. The first two were solid—not the best I’ve had around here, but still good. The Braised Beer Duck, though, was a different story; it was more of a chore than a meal. They serve it chopped bone-in, with barely any meat on the pieces, so I was pretty much left with picking around more bones than bites.

Overall, ia great spot to swing by for some straightforward, comforting Szechuan noodles. While I haven’t fully explored the rest of their menu, I’d suggest sticking with the noodles.“
