Due to COVID, we couldn’t go up to the bar to order drinks and that worried me initially, thinking there would be a long wait for a server with a ton of guests. I was terribly wrong. Every single server was personable and the service was phenomenal. Alex in particular was amazing!!! The high-level service was even more amazing considering they said it was their first wedding since COVID started. My cup was never empty for more than one minute. “Overall we had a good experience but the night felt off here...There was confusion about my table reservation when I arrived even though when I called to confirm I was told the time was adjusted. Service was friendly and attentive, however, I ordered a 9oz glass of wine and they brought me a 6oz. When I had asked if I could get the additional 3 oz they brought me 2 small carafs and another glass of wine. There was communication issue, I then said I only wanted just the nine they told me I could keep the other carafe, but then I was charged for 3 glasses of wine when I only wanted 1 9oz.“

“Im not easily impressed by any means. The current chef, Chef Valentine from Black Cat Eatery went crazy. Every dish seemed like he was trying to let you know there is no competition.

The patties are made with multiple cultures in mind. Fusing the styles effortlessly. Then topped with an aioli sauce that brings it all together.

The special of the night was scallops. I believe they had a touch of jerk on top because it was a bit of spice. But nothing overbearing. Perfectly prepared and presented like a game winning trophy.

The spin on Ackee And Salt fish was next level. I usually am not a fan of ackee. I tend to just make saltfish with a side of bammy or fried dumplins. But turning it into some what of a puree is nothing short of genius. Ill definitely be stealing that idea.

Ill be back for sure. I need to try the Griyot, the Oxtail and the Suya Beef.

“We were a family of three visiting Boston and after reading through the multitude of choices of restaurants and reviews, Clink was on my list to get reservations. This restaurant is in the Liberty Hotel, which if you've been to NYC it has the same vibe as the Roxy Hotel and the Beekman. I made reservations for a Saturday night at 7:15 and when we arrived the restaurant only had a few other couples there dining. I'll address this more at the end. Our server recommended a few choices of cocktails. My husband chose the Barrel Aged Old Fashioned and I chose the Crime of Passion. Both were excellent!! Both cocktails were by far the best we had the entire trip, and we had a cocktail or two at dinner each night during our five-night stay. Hats of to the bartender making those!! Although we really didn't see an appetizer that we could agree on we were served some outstanding rolls and butter. I'm not a big bread fan, but these were hot, soft, and had a great flavor. For our dinners I chose the Crispy Skin Farm Raised Salmon, my husband chose the Hand Cut Pasta Bolognese, and our son chose the Gulf of Maine Blue Cod. We all agreed each dish was prepared and presented perfectly and all three had wonderful flavors with no complaints. We didn't think we had room for dessert until we were told the options and one option was Peach Bread Pudding!! We found room for dessert and in hindsight wish we asked for one to go for the next day. It's a must try!! The atmosphere was great, the service was great (and the manager was walking around making sure everyone was enjoying themselves), the cocktails amazing, and the dinner and dessert was wonderful, so this left us asking "why is this place not packed on a Saturday night"? The only hiccup was when you walked into the hotel lobby it felt like they were having air conditioning problems, but the restaurant was not having that issue. So hopefully this was just some weird off night for this restaurant and hopefully more people have a wonderful experience like we did and leave great reviews. I know that if we come back to Boston, Clink is on our list to dine at again.“

“When I read about this place opening I was excited. I was then lucky enough to go today, and boy it does not disappoint. Ambiance is Devine, the art deco is pumping through its veins and the cocktails are extremely well thought out. The space is compact, but open, and I’m not sure how they put on food as well, not that we tried any because the cocktails are a meal in themselves. Green and Yellow Chartreuse in stock is a strong sign that this place knows what is needed. Thank you team! You rock!“

“Great place to watch the sunset, although the very end of it sets behind a condo building. Fun place to go and walk around to view the boats and Boston Harbor. It is quiet at this time of year, but probably mobbed in summer. We sat upstairs and ordered the tuna nachos. The tuna was fresh and fried wontons crispy. Cocktails were fun - I had a coconut one. For dinner we had fish tacos and the burrito. Everything was delicious.“

“Our first time at Baleia, and we’d absolutely recommend it and return. The savory cheese tarts, Portuguese sweet bread, and Whole Roasted Fish were the stand outs for us. In general, everything was cooked to perfection. The Mozambique Shrimp were the definition of succulent. My husband is not a huge fan of saffron, so the sauce wasn’t to his taste, but I found it delicious. The octopus carpaccio was bright, acidic, and so tender. A glass of Vinho Verde made for a well-rounded dinner.

The restaurant is beautiful, but it can become rather loud due to all the hard surfaces. We arrived at 6, but when we left at 8, the volume had increased significantly. Just a note for any of those that may need or prefer a quieter space.“

“We got there at 5 when it opened and that's the way to do it! Noise level was fine but by 6 it was LOUD and the place was only 75% full. My wife and I ordered a total of five dishes plus two desserts, and everything was really good. I especially recommend: - The burrata - The egg and potato omelet - The Brussels sprouts (but be sure to ask for extra sauce) The sliders were good, but they could have used more flavor. The flan for dessert was great. The chocolate churros were okay. Service was exceptionally good.“

Top notch product, knowledgeable staff, plenty of seating options from a bar overlooking the distilling floor, to a barrel table by the aging barrels, to a vintage pinball rool (bring quarters). I had the Camp Out for a boozy take on s'mores that was excellently blended, and a taste of their rhubarb amaro that was an amazing first foray into that liqueur. Herbal bitterness offset by sweet floral notes that stands strong alone but also asks for creative cocktails. Looking forward to a return trip!“

“We had a wonderful dinner a Mai during their soft opening. The foods good. The service amazing and overall a great night out. We tried a variety of hand rolls and some apps. The fish is definitely high quality in the hand rolls. Our favorites are the Akami, toro, Salmon, spicy tuna and the Duck Foie Gras“

“Had a great experience at Gigi! We sat at the bar and Mike was both our server and bartender. He was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and every recommendation he made for food and drinks was spot on. You can tell he really knows the menu and cares about the experience. “We were celebrating our 16th anniversary and my retirement, and wanted to do it up right! We picked the right place for it. Coming in from Cape Cod, for a concert at Fenway we had reservations for Abe and Louie’s, but there were 2 at the bar so they let us sit there instead of our table. Our bartenders were great. To our surprise, Bree almost immediately said “Happy Anniversary!” And our drink order was taken. Michelle made a spicy margarita with a nice kick and a heavy glass, and a soda. Then we ordered shrimp cocktail which were brought out in mere moments. The shrimp were huge and cold and crunchy- perfect! We took our time and were not rushed to order our meal, but once we did, with Kendal, she asked all the right questions, offered to split our salad in the kitchen, and made some great recommendations. I wanted my Filet with their wedge salad as my entree and was told no problem. Our meal, my huge filet and my man’s ribeye were both cooked as requested and his suggested garlic whipped potatoes were creamy and yummy! The food was all out of this world, but what made the dining a true experience was the tango these three women danced around each other, each knowing what the other was doing and exactly what their patrons wanted. You can get a great filet many places but I pay for the service and we both felt like we were treated like royalty. Thank you Bree, Kendal and Michelle for making our anniversary and my retirement a true celebration!!“

“We arrived late to Boston and needed a place to grab a bite. Their kitchen was still open so we ordered some food and drinks. The food and drinks were delish. The atmosphere was fairly lively. It’s a small footprint so having a few groups of people in there made the atmosphere pretty loud. Not a bad thing, just a notable observation. Overall the Franklin Cafe fit our need with good late night food and drinks.“
