“Family owned local businesses that puts many Italian restaurants to shame from the moment you walk in. Fresh pasta and superb choices of seafood, chicken and beef . Great atmosphere and a nice wine selection- save room for desert. I've eaten here often while on business and this trip brought my wife; she did not to leave. Get there early - this is a local gem !“

“Fun ambience. The staff seem to be having a good time and are very organized. The brown butter pancakes and (especially) the pupusa were outstanding. Good London Fog too. We walked to the Arboretum after brunch to top off a wonderful spring morning.“

“Had to make a reservation two months in advance, but happy to report that Tonino was well worth the wait! The interior is lovely—very cozy with classy decorations. The pizza is available for take-out, but the pasta is only available for dine-in, so we tried as many pastas as we could stomach. Unfortunately, the special advertised on the wall wasn't available, so we ended up getting:- Taleggio Cappelletti ($26): This dish only comes with 8 cappelletti, so the portion size is more akin to an appetizer, but this was my favorite of the pastas that we ordered. Rich, cheesy filling with a subtly sweet sauce. Delicious.- Lumache ($26): Second favorite. Very al dente (borderline crunchy; too al dente for my friend, but I liked the bite). Some tangy notes from the creme fraiche. Portion size was better than the taleggio cappelletti, but I wish there were more or larger cuts of mushroom.- Chitarra & Clams ($28): Wouldn't get this again. Very peppery, and the flavor didn't pack a punch like the other two pastas. Chitarra wasn't al dente, and the clams were quite small. Breadcrumbs were good.- Tiramisu ($14): Also available for take-out but had to get it because it's their signature dessert. I was in heaven. The mascarpone was runnier than that of other tiramisus that I've had, but I liked it like that. Very smooth and creamy. Loved the sporadic bits of salt too. There were two servers who waited on us throughout the night. Both were friendly. There's complimentary still or sparkling water, which was a plus. 5% kitchen appreciation fee, which is higher than the usual 3%.Overall, highly recommend this place. I think it is my favorite Italian place in Boston now!“

“Fun, quality dining at Bar Mezzana where everyone will find something they like. Changing menu of cocktails is always a nice surprise, and enough new dishes to keep things interesting. The cauliflower salad was delicious and had lots going on.“

“So many food options and a lot of space so you can find room to sit even in relatively packed times. Certain restaurants are overpriced but can still find good eats. The parking deck is clutch - if you validate it it's $10 for 3 hrs which is great for that location.“

“Great location in the south end. Parking depends on your persistence and luck, but can be found. Restaurant is lovely but we were seated at back tables which were a little stark. Shrimp mango salad appetizer was nice and citrusy, somewhat plain. Fried spring rolls were 12/10 delicious, and worth the price of admission. I had the Amok Royale which is one of those dishes you can't get anywhere else in the city — but it's very fish-based and you'll either love it or not. Dessert was nice but didn't overwhelm. Service was amazing — friendly, low key, attentive, and welcoming.“

“Visiting Boston on business. My group and I went here for lunch and it was stellar. I had the Zuni Roll and I wish I could get another. The onion ring apps were very tasty. The beer selection is pretty good and the staff recommendations were spot on. Staff was great as well and attentive. Highly recommend.“

“Some of the best Thai food I have ever had. The fried chives were so good. The curries were so different and delicious. The shrimp and pomelo salad along with the green papaya was tasty. They have a bar opening soon and I can wait to check it out!Vegetarian options: Quite a few options to make things vegetarian or that are vegetarian.“

“Picked this gem for our first dinner on a weekend trip to Boston, and it set the bar super high! Absolutely delicious food--super clean and fresh shellfish and fish from the appetizers and soup to our main entrees. A special thank you to our great server Kristen, who made my day with a sweet dessert on the house! Truly a wonderful meal at a wonderful establishment!“

“I came here to celebrate Valentine's day with my husband. Personally speaking, I've not been a big fan of Asian fusion food, but I was delightfully surprised by the food at Myers & Chang. We got one beef udon dish and a braised beef dish, with both turning out very good but both a bit salty - so we had to get one more bowl of rice to top up. Additionally, they were kind enough to let me order a drink from the brunch menu. I would come back!“

“Came for the seafood but stayed for the cocktails and chill vibes. We sat at bar so did not get a chance to get familiar with menu or hear about dishes. The oysters were great! Did not like raw clams (too fishy for my taste). Cocktails were suburb. They had a lobster and waffle dish which was so unique and good! Lobster was a bit overcooked but the flavor they had def made up for probably a rare mistake (the lobster in lobster roll was not overcooked and melted in mouth). Brussel sprouts were also phenom and could be a meal in itself.“

“Everything we ordered was excellent, chickpea sticks, dips, pear salad, lobster Campanella, and scallops. Delicious espresso martinis. I think what made our experience the greatest was our waitress EMILY. She loves her job and was so enjoyable to talk to, and gave us great recommendations. We felt lucky to have her. Will definitely be back when in town.“

“Octopus was fabulous, calamari... not so much. Scallops a La Plancha were delicious, Bolognese - just meh. Server left empty glasses on the table a bit longer than I would have liked and our table was directly inside the door from the bar so it was pretty loud. All in all it was good / fine / what I would expect in Boston at that price point - but not a standout.“

“Spring Brunch with friends. We were seated and greeted right away. Excellent cocktails and “shareables.” Food was diverse and excellent. The restaurant was loud - but mainly because the music - while it was a good playlist - it was way too loud.“
“Wow, just wow. Went to Bully Boy with a crew this afternoon and we had the most delightful time, all due to the lovely and talented Jack (shout-out Jack). Had some delectable cocktails and then went on an awesome tour led by Jack. After hearing his delightful history as a salesman, Jack easily sent us home $200 poorer, but a whole lot richer in spirit. WE LOVE JACK AND BULLY BOY!!!!!“

“First off there is more than ample parking and the building is in a very accessible location. Once you step into the restaurant you get very cool, hip, cultural vibes. The bar is beautiful and the drinks are beyond amazing. I had a prickly pear margarita that was what I could only describe as foreplay in my mouth. Tease of sweetness and sultry all at once. The menu is extensive with something for everyone. Definitely top quality ingredients used with exceptional flavors and great presentation. The service was top notch. This place runs like a well oiled machine. Definitely recommend and will be coming back often.“

“Finding myself hungry in South Boston, I Googled vegan near me" and found Lulu Green. Well, one of my cats is named Lulu, so there I went. Little did I know how delicious the food is there. The vegan hot honey "chicken" sandwich was by far the best sandwich I've had in my entire life, so good that I immediately ordered another. Isn't that what one does when one gets the best sandwich ever? If "awesome" weren't so overused a word that it has lost any semblance of its original meaning, I would use it to describe this sandwich. You know how, when you take a bite from some new dish and you get hit with the sensation of something so delicious you just have to sit back in your seat and wish space-time would move more slowly just so you can savor the flavor longer? That's what eating this sandwich was like. It has a pesto ranch dressing and pickles that taste better than any pickles one might reasonably expect to exist in the known universe-- and I don't even particularly like pickles. Seriously, this sandwich will make you throb with ecstasy. Also, anyone who thinks vegan cheese can't be good hasn't tried its pesto pizza. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention the friendly service.“

“A must visit when in south end, an uptown vibrant cafe in heart of the city, serving delicious food and good drinks! Slightly higher on price, but a decent spot if you want to have that 11pm-12am dinner. The chicken in 20 garlic cloves is the DISH I’D GO BACK FOR A MILLION TIMES. Otherwise the Franklin Burger is also a must try! The bartenders make fire cocktails! Manager Sean endured a very good experience in general, go there alone or with a couple of friends and you’ll have a great time!“

“This is a hidden gem in back bay. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere from the moment you walk in the door. We ordered the burrata, the risotto, and the tiramisu. While the burrata was good, we wouldn't order it again. However, the risotto was to die for. The short rib was tender and complimented the creamy risotto perfectly. The tiramisu, while not made in house, is a must order for dessert. Furthermore, the service was incredible and everyone was so friendly. My only complaint about the atmosphere would be the noise. The music was turned up very loud and I would wait for the break between songs to truly talk.“

“It’s been a long time since I last dined here and it was just as amazing as I remember. We loved all of the food here—excellent and of a high caliber. We started with the oysters which were (I think) the best oysters I’ve ever had. They brought out bread afterwards with freshly scooped butter. Might be some of the best rolls and butter I’ve had too. The bread, lightly salted on top, was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The butter, which melts into the bread as you spread it, had notes of honey in it too adding an extra sweetness. Top tier. All of the entrees were stellar, and one thing I loved was how appropriate the portion sizes were. We finished everything and were content without being overly full. The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection with mashed potatoes. The creamy carbonara was flavorful with the squash. The branzino was also cooked perfectly and came with tasty sides. And lastly the scallops had a great sauce and went well with the mushrooms. We tried the date cake and chocolate soufflé for dessert but it wasn’t anything crazy or over the top. They don’t have a pastry chef.Lastly I’ll comment on the decor as the vibe was quiet and nice with fun pictures hanging around. The back door is also connected to a speakeasy!“

“It was a Friday night and I was there with two others celebrating a birthday. Everything we ate was amazing. We had the pork belly appetizer, the Halibut, the Sea Bass, and the Shrimp and Scallops were the main dishes. Jessica was an excellent server. We sat upstairs by a window… ambiance was very nice. We had wine and dessert as well. Ooooo… and a delicious expreso martini at the end.“

“First time trying their bottomless brunch here. We were afraid portions would be too big but actually they're slightly smaller than usual tapas plates. Some of our favorites were the Mexican street corn, fish tacos, French toast and strawberry waffles (they come in a quarter piece). The bloody Mary and raspberry mojotis were both delicious. Not a big menu and a few items were very similar. Most of the food felt prepared and sitting there ahead of time as they didn't come out hot.The ambiance was nice and chill. Would recommend making reservations. Our server was nice and attentive and let us keep ordering without any issues.“

“I had heard a ton a really good things about the food and especially the vodka sauce so I was super excited to try the food and it did NOT disappoint! Our server was very nice and attentive! We did go on the earlier side so it wasn't very busy but they did have good music playing and it wasn't too loud which we appreciated because we were able to chat across the table without feeling like we had to be too loud! Very excited to go back!!“

“We landed late a few weeks ago on our trip to Boston and were browsing the delivery apps for some late night pizza when we came across Pastoral and figured we give it a try when we saw the Chicken Parm pizza. We opted for the Chicken Parmesan and Margherita pizzas and the roasted garlic knot. The Chicken Parmesan was the star of the order for me. The chicken was perfectly fried and all the toppings were fresh and full of flavor, all on top of a wonderfully wood-fired crust. The Margherita pizza was perfectly cooked and full of flavor as well. I would honestly order both of these again if visiting again. The Garlic Knot on the other hand I would probably pass on. I am a garlic lover don't get me wrong, but this was a tad too much in my opinion. The dough itself was fairly thin and then it was loaded with probably 3 bulbs worth of garlic cloves. Just a bit too much in my opinion. All in all I would still recommend grabbing some pizzas here if ever in the area!“

“As a local, Ive been coming here since they opened. Always top notch service, ingredients and atmosphere.. the staff allwork very hard to bring a higher experience. Including staying after they’re technically closed to let people finish at will. The prices reflect a local farm like fresh menu, so yes its a tad higher than your average breakfast/brunch joint. Also! dont forget about the craft cocktails and coffees. pro-tip : park in the back lot and walk up thru the walkway.“

The chicken was ok, tasted parboiled, but the pasta and vegetables were flavorful, and you can add some red pepper flakes for a satisfying kick! The mushroom tagliatelle looked good as well.Other:Fast service, friendly staffChic Friday-Saturday night vibes similar to Barcelona Brookline/BostonNot a long wait for seating at the barTLDR;Come here for great food and great ambiance in a fun part of Brookline!“

“I recommend everything about Shore Leave. We came here on Tuesday during a work trip and had the best night of the whole trip. Food was great, drinks were great, and the staff was amazing. The atmosphere was so fun (there’s a disco ball!) and very welcoming of all customers. We ended up staying out til midnight singing karaoke and for many of our group that was their first time ever singing karaoke in our group. 10/10, 5 stars.“

“I highly recommend the salmon dumpling, the first bite was really amazed. There were only 3 dumplings, and, my friend and I were two people. But the waiter was kind enough to give one more, just so we could share it evenly. The sea urchin soba noodles and oysters were really great as appetizers.“

“Visited based on some reviews we read online and it was even better than expected! Our server, Gabby, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. After ordering our first cocktails off of the menu, we opted to have Gabby and the bartender create drinks based on our flavor profile. Service was amazing! Gabby really knocked it out of the park! Our group shared the charcuterie board, which had some unbelievably delicious cheeses, the Pow-Pow Shrimp, and the oysters. Everything was delicious. The ambiance is really cool. Deep red lighting and really cool decor. Very much the vibe we were looking for in a speakeasy. We had a great time and can't wait to go back!“

“Went for their Cinco de Mayo experience with a live Mariachi band. Highly recommend making a reservation for dinner as there was often a line out the door for waiting through the night. The menu is similar to a tapas style with shareable small and large plates. The main highlights of the menu were tacos which ran $14-$17 for two which was rather pricey for the portion.“

“Last weekend, my partner and I decided to explore the much-raved-about Fuji at Ink Block in Boston's vibrant South End. Let me just say, the experience was nothing short of spectacular, surpassing our expectations in every possible way.We started with the Edamame Truffle Dumplings, which were absolutely divine, offering a burst of flavors that left us eagerly anticipating what was to come. For our main course, we opted for the Chef's Selection Sushi and the Black Cod Miso. Each sushi piece was a work of art, fresh and full of flavor, demonstrating the chef's skill and attention to detail. The Black Cod Miso was simply sublime, with the fish perfectly cooked, flaky, and infused with a delicate balance of sweetness and umami.“

“First of all, I can't believe we waited so long to go back to this place, since we live less than half a mile away. This is such a unique place in Chinatown, with very creative (and well made) cocktails and a menu for just about anyone's palate. After seeing a segment on TV, I really wanted to try the burger and it might be one of the top 5 burgers I've ever had (and I have had thousands). The Bao bun is just so good, as was the sauce and the pickles. Top it off with a side of duck fat fries and you have the perfect burger. We were there on a Monday night around 6:45 and the place was packed. The bar too. No pictures but I wish I had. Will definitely be back to try more of the menus.“
“This spot is perfect for a girls' night out or for people-watching out on Newbury Street. My girlfriends and I had a great time sipping Aperol Spritz's outside on their patio on a beautiful day. The chicken wings were off the charts good, and the Spicy Edamame, Brussels Sprouts, and Hummus were perfect shareable bites to enjoy outdoors.“
“I’ve been wanting to try Barlette after hearing about it, and was delighted to be invited to a private event held there! It exceeded my expectations and more— Rachel helped us mix our own drinks, we had a combination of catered and self made bites, and the decor was so pretty and inviting. It was the perfect venue, and so versatile! I want to come back soon and absolutely recommend for parties or just a fun evening :)“

“Topline: Was recommended this place by my Air BnB host and it did not disappoint. Good vibes, perfect spot to catch up with friends, a date, or on hang out by yourself. Great food and service. Ambience: 5/5. Narrow bar area when you walk in that is super crowded around dinner time, even on a weeknight. Seemed like it was a lot of regulars who knew each other. Past the bar the seating area is small and intimate, perfect for a date night. For Mr. Solo Dolos, there are 5-6 TVs all playing different sports channels. Service: 5/5. Colleen was awesome. Super helpful in explaining different options on the menu for foods and drinks. Taste: 5/5. The fettuccine with their house marinara was so good. They have a special frozen watermelon slushy drink that was pretty good, although probably not everyone's cup of tea. Expensiveness: 4/5. $30 for a house drink and an entree. About what I'd expect to spend at a nice restaurant in any major city.“

“Visiting Boston and came as here was recommended by local. It’s a great place to visit. Food is great, had the best bone marrow, and the foie gras is definitely recommendable. service is busy but good, atmosphere is great. The only thing is it was freezing and we both got sick. The backyard outdoor patio is still freezing though there are Mr heaters near the wall outlets. The heat wasn’t strong enough at all to cover the area. Would only go again if got in door seating in winter.“

“We did a walk-in (without a reservation) and despite it being extremely busy the front of house staff could not have been more helpful. We were offered seats at the bar but with full meal options. The bar staff were also keen to assist and made you immediately at ease. We ordered the Fishermen’s Platter and the Salmon with a couple of glasses of wine. The platter in particular was an extremely large portion, which the bar staff later said many people share as the main course. In terms of quality both dishes were excellent, in particular the cod in the platter was so soft. What also makes this a great total dining experience is the atmosphere in the restaurant. The lively chatter forms a subtle background rather than an overwhelming din which becomes infectious into the eating experience. Yes the prices are higher than standard restaurants but for a special meal or where you want to impress or just share a great experience, then I highly recommend it for you.“

“Found this place on the map and decided to try it out! We walked in to Puro Ceviche located in one of the basement units on Newbury at around noon on a Sunday to a completely empty restaurant, and were seated promptly. All the dishes we tried were pretty delicious, and they even offered us extra chips to go with the ceviche. I loved how tender the octopus, shrimp, and scallops were in the ceviche and the sauce was perfectly tangy to my taste! Elotes was pretty standard, and the Branzino was perfectly cooked as well for people looking to try some other seafood on the menu. It felt like they were trying to rush us out a little, but overall a good experience.“

“The very first thing that I would advise you to do is to RUN to their instagram and hit the follow button! This is because they do weekly weekend brunch giveaways. Yes, you heard that correctly! It's usually a brunch for two; you get two entrees and a stack of whatever pancakes you choose (excluding steak and seafood). I've won a couple times already which has given myself and my significant other to try multiple things off of their menu. I'm a sucker for a good mocktail (as I was prego and currently nursing), not only do they have good cocktails but the mocktails hit as well. It's very lively, beautiful establishment, bright during the day, the music is fun, makes you want to get up and dance while you're in the middle of eating. The food is really, really good. The only thing I will say is that I wish the menu was bigger with more options. The staff are always welcoming, smiling and overall look happy to be at work. They also host different events too which is cool, one time when I was there for brunch, they were setting up balloons and decor for a valentines dinner event.“

“First time I got the cheese pub pizza. It was absolutely delicious and fresh. Had a few beers as well. Have a nice beer selection and good prices on mixed drinks. Waiter was very friendly and funny. Went a second time and took my husband. Pickle chips were good and this time we ordered the bacon mashed potato pub pizza. It was delicious but a bit heavy so I probably won’t get it again. I highly recommend it for the pub pizza and the reasonable prices on beer and mixed drinks.“
