“Recommended to me by my faculty colleague, Anselm Wong, I tried Gyro and Souvlaki to cater a work event. Gigi was wonderful up front coordinating the order and pick up, even handling a small hiccup at the end. The food was not only delicious, but - no surprise for us Greeks - massive in quantity. Note to all. Even though everything was delicious, I have very specific shout outs: maybe the best tzatziki ever and the galactoboureko - omg. Such wonderful homages to yiayias and summer church picnics everywhere!“

“We’ve lived in Worcester for almost 5 years and have tried so many restaurants. Green Island Oyster is now our favorite by far. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. The oysters were fresh and delicious, crab cakes were cooked to perfection, the green curry crab lettuce wraps were light, had just the right amount of spice and were unique, the crab Rangoon flatbread was perfect and they had the best fish and chips we’ve ever had. Service was great too. We will be recommending this place to all our friends and will definitely be back!“

Right across the side street from The Commons at Worcester City Hall! Yes! We New Englanders know how to party! _____, her husband _____, pal _____, and yours truly (all of us Leominsterites) made merry at the best middle eastern establishment around! (It’s been a favorite of mine for some time!) Oversized containers piled high with falafel, kibbeh, egg plant, grape leaves, rice, vegetables, as well as beef and chicken (all separated for the veggies among us, ahem!), hummus, tahini, pita bread, baklava, etc. etc.! All in the wonderful Shawarma Palace! When I worked in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) in the 1980s, I fell in love with the orange-and-lemon-flavored shawarmas along Al Baatha Street, the central traditional thoroughfare at the time. Today, we all got to replicate those flavors at the Shawarma Palace! Hurray and hurrah!“

“I just had the meatball sandwich and potato salad. Honest review....the meatballs are AMAZING, the bread was very fresh and delicious. Very messy to eat but worth every napkin used!! The potato salad had a bit more mayo than I like but it had a nice flavor and was really good. The price is very reasonable for the portion size and quality of food.“

“We love Chick-fil-a and wanted to go there to celebrate our adoption day! We were waiting for our family to arrive to order our food and Grace asked if it was someone’s birthday. Grace and Kayla made our celebration super special! They made our day extra special! The came out with a special treat and gifted us a meal. We appreciate it. “My family stopped here on a road trip, as we needed a beer after several hours in the car with our 2 kids and dog, and it was PERFECT! Extremely dog-friendly (our server even brought our pup a little water bowl, and offered to make him a burger), kid-friendly (my notoriously picky eaters LOVED the chicken fingers & fries and smashburger), and adult-friendly (I had a blood orange lager and a fresh salad, my husband also got a lager and a reeeally good fried chicken sandwich). There was literally something for everyone. We don't drive through Worcester often but we'll certainly make a point to stop in again when we do!“

“I enjoy led a wonderful tour of Italy that includes lasgna, pasta alfredo,and chicken Parm. My wife had eggplant Parm which she raved anout the crispy edges and well cooked center. We also did 2 $6 to go meals we enjoy later. Pasta alfredo and 3 cheese pasta. Yum“

“All day brunch! This is what weekends are made of.
We came here because this restaurant won the Taste of Shrewsbury. And pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was.
You don’t have to go to Mardi-grass for shrimp and grits. Here they have creamy buttery stone-ground grits and perfectly seasoned shrimp with subtle flavors that made me want to stop right there but I had ordered pulled pork Benedict too.
Poached eggs cooked to perfection and what makes it better? Add slow braised pulled pork and apple slaw. Delicious.
And if white table linen is not your thing you can sit outside on the patio which has ample seating and watch the magnificent 30 foot cast iron water fall with its own story behind it.“
