From the warm, welcoming fire, to the kind, helpful waitress, to the unbelievable food (get the hush puppies for SURE!), to the SHOWSTOPPING fall cocktails, and finally the extra-decadent desserts. There were multiple large families with children and it was truly a great experience. We went with just four of us and we could chat but otherwise listened to the great music and enjoyed our food immensely! The service was super friendly. The bathrooms were clean as well. “I have been a patron at McGarvey's for years. I love your food and service. However, first time I have a complaint. I was anxious to try the crab balls, as pictured in your menu. Although they weren't horrible, they looked nothing like the picture on your menu, very disappointed. I expected pieces of white crab meat and we got very crusted, fried little round balls. I bragged to my grandson about the picture on your menu and it was certainly not what we got. I must say, it is the first thing I have been disappointed with. Either change the picture or take them off your menu.“

Most recently went with friends on a double date & everyone was very nice, especially the kind lady who took our order (in the area where you order crab cakes & desserts). She was very patient taking our large order. Food has always been very good. We got to meet the new owners who are Clark and Jackie Mowrey: Delightful people. Our server Ebby was superb and the food was excellent. We took the food to go and ate it on the boat anchored just off the restaurant's beach to watch the spectacular sunset.“
