“My wife and I like going there for Taco Tuesday. But there's a woman who sits at the bar. Gets on her cell phone and screams into it to whoever she's talking to for an hour. It is so annoying. That I don't want to go there anymore. Shouldn't be able to sit at the bar and scream into your cell phone while people are trying to enjoy themselves. It is really unnerving.“

“Consistently the best food in Rio! Service is always good, and the food is excellent! The pickings for good food in Rio have become slim over the years with constant restaurant closings but Guapos has survived for a reason.
The queso is to die for, my favorite in the area for dine in Queso Blanco. Also every wait staff I've had tend to my tables has been attentive and kind.
There will probably be a wait for a table but it's worth it if you're in Rio already for a movie or something, as there's really no better place to eat in Rio.“

“Everything about this place was A++. Not sure how this place has not come up for me or my husband before but came here Tuesday night and we’re officially deeming this our go to spot. Everything was delicious and legitimately the best Mexican restaurant in DC and the best Margaritas in town.
1. The fajitas (chorizo, chicken, steak) had amazing flavor including the side of refried beans, steak was tender, didn’t skimp you on the veggies.
2. The chicken tamales did not disappoint - you can tell they care about their masa, and the chicken inside was juicy, not dry like many places.
3. The frozen margaritas were freshly made it isn’t just a bunch of syrup. I actually wasn’t going to get one but Oscar put my concerns at ease and pointed out it was still happy hour.
Such a relief to find a spot where you can count on food being delicious, where the vibe is chill and the people are great! Thank you Oscar, Diego, and Chris!“

Service was friendly and willing to make substitutions and accommodations (flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas, kids meals for an adult with a small appetite, etc.). A little pricey, but that is typical of the area. No free water, only $2 bottles. Lots of birds hanging around waiting for your scraps (and leaving their poop). Seating is somewhat limited and no bathroom available. Take a walk on the wharf afterwards!“

“We had a wonderful experience dining here! Our server checked on us regularly to make sure everything was going well. There was a slight delay with one of our drinks, but they handled it so graciously — they apologized and comped it without us even asking.

The food was fantastic. We ordered the steak and chicken fajitas, and the steak was cooked perfectly to a medium rare — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Everything arrived quickly, and the server provided extras as requested.

“Came to Laredo after a busy day at the zoo and I am so glad I did. First of all the staff is very sweet and friendly. Secondly, the food was all very fresh and very filling! “This place is kind of small hole in the wall. Seats about 14 or so outside and not many more people inside. Nice menu that's not too large or too small. Some Tex-Mex menus have way too many choices. The starter tortilla chips and salsa were top notch. Service all around was excellent. I had the Chicken Chimichanga and it was one of the best I've ever had. It came with rice and refried beans as well as pico, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce. Everything was delicious, cooked perfectly, and reasonably priced. “Open late and everything tasted so fresh and authentic! We were looking for something to eat late on a Sunday night and a friend recommended Picamas since they lived nearby. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was so good. The tortilla was really soft and the chicken was so flavorful and went really well with the rice and veggies in the burrito. The owner was so friendly and they really made an effort to prepare our meal for us. Overall great food and we’ll definitely be coming back!“
