“The staff at the Laurel First Watch are so wonderful. The hostess with glasses is always very friendly and upbeat, I once saw her doing sick yo-yo tricks for a child to make them smile. It made us smile too. One of the waitresses always recognizes us and gives us a warm welcome. Every staff member we have interacted with has been so friendly, and our order always comes out perfect & in a timely manner.

P.S. I also REALLY appreciate the coffee for people on the waitlist!! It dramatically increases my patience to wait for a table LOL.“

“This was the Shrimp and crab cake benedict over cheesy grits. The shrimp were plump, the crab cakes were packed with crab meat. Everything about this dish was 😘🤌🏾. Also, they serve fresh squeezed OJ which I appreciate.

This place gets busy. Although my party didn't have to wait to be seated around 11 am, as we were leaving around Noon, we noticed quite a few people waiting to be seated.“

“Get there early because there aren't tons of seats and this joint is popular. It's a little shop with lots of heart if you aren't looking for decor or ambiance. Feels more like a cafeteria but the food and service are always on point. Great place to kick back with a friend. No pressure. No fuss. No pretenses. What you see is what you get. Love it. “I went to this deli just around the corner from my job, and overall, it was a decent experience. I got the grits, eggs, turkey bacon, and pancakes. The eggs and grits were absolutely immaculate, really well done! The turkey bacon was a little overcooked, and the pancakes were drenched in butter, so if you prefer them a bit lighter, just a heads up. The atmosphere is okay, though they could really use a makeover. That said, the service was fantastic, and I’ll definitely be returning. I’d give it a 4-star rating“

What really makes it special though is the people. The staff is so friendly and welcoming—they actually take the time to get to know you. Come in a couple times and they’ll remember your order and how you like it. That kind of service is rare these days.
