I can’t believe the amazing and wonderful place I “found” today when I finally made the bold decision to try something different. At first, I was going to grab a slice of pizza because I was impressed by the look of the slices in the display case. But after I started my order on the tablet, I saw a brisket sandwich piled high with coleslaw. I ordered with extra sauce but didn’t need it because the flavor is absolute perfection. “Every once in a while you have something that makes you just go "Goddamn!". Back in south India they had this local brand called Hangyo which churned out the best Belgian chocolate ice cream I've had in my life. Hangyo was immeasurably superior than the competition and I patronized that establishment quite frequently- much to my own detriment.

When I had a taste of the Tall Tale chocolate ice cream here it was the same moment; all over again. Identical in every fashion. I haven't had ice cream like that in 80 months. Anyway, I am glad I don't live on this side of the country for the sake of my own health. Otherwise I would've had the top spot on the Charmery watchlist. “We come to Carmens regularly...and there is a reason for that...its fabulous! We love the gelati (ice with custard for those non Jersey types). The line moves fairly quickly and it's not overly expensive for a summer time treat. We typically get smalls and for the 4 of us, its less than $25. There are several locations. The Rockville location can be fairly busy, but the Olney location is generally much quieter, so if you are between the stores, this one may be a better option. Enjoy!“

This place has changed drastically from last time I remembered it, and the new owner always caters to the customers needs, whether it is checking if everything is okay, to checking ingredients ensuring that there are no allergy risks. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND GOING HERE! The place is cute, refreshing, and so clean. “I have been going to Pete snowballs since I was a child and I had such great memories visiting. Now I bring my kids and they love Pete’s snowballs. Very friendly service and many flavors to choose from I have tried almost all the flavors but my favorite is mango my kids love cotton candy and blue raspberry.“

“I went there today with my 7 year old son for a banana royal for me and a scoop on a cake cone for my son, the ice cream was superb! If you ever go I would recommend the banana pudding with some cookies and cream it won’t disappoint. For my son he chose little blue panda on a cake cone and he loved it he still hasn’t stopped saying how much he wants more. On top of that the customer service was amazing the lady had a little conversation with us about our day and even gave my son some Oreo’s. On top of all of that the price was just 12.58! Was way cheaper than baskin Robbins. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

“This shake shack is always super goof. Food is fresh and hot the service is friendly! Everything is usually pretty clean as well, I think maybe once it looked a little worse than usual but it was busy so forgivable.

This location does get pretty busy and it can get kind of loud but it's in an ideal location so makes sense. Wife and I love this place.“

Parking: Parking is okay I recommend going in the morning like between 11 am -4 pm. Because there is a college campus near by so after school kids come and have cookies so it’s packed.

Tapioca: I like that they pre cook their tapioca (bubbles) where a lot of other places that offer tapioca as a topping serve it fresher out of the heat which means a lot of times they undercook or overcook their tapioca and it's still hot even in the ice. I like that with Tutti Frutti, they have a more standardized way of cooking their tapioca and ensuring it is cooked properly.

I also really like the portions and the consistency. Every time I get the same order it tastes the same and I love that.

The staff can be sometimes distracted which is awkward for me sometimes but overall they do a good job“
