I have had the fried chicken, fried fish, fried liver with gravy, steamed crabs, chitterlings, home fries with onions, fried green beans, collard greens, mixed vegetables, vegetable lo mein, and fried cabbage. My son loves the cheese steak subs.“

“Went for the first time with a coworker for lunch and he suggested the jambalaya, we got there just as they opened so no one else was there besides us. He got the chicken jambalaya and I got the seafood and let me tell you it was AMAZING!! It was way too much for lunch I felt like I needed a nap after eating all that but man it was fantastic. The shrimp mussels and catfish were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the rice delicious I couldn't wait to take the next bite. Will definitely be going back and taking others with me to experience this place. The price is exactly what you should expect for this quality and type of food, it was delicious and the service was fantastic so yeah you pay for that this isn't your local Dennys thank God. I love finding places like this then sharing with others so glad my coworker shared it with me.“

“I, along with four other friends went to this restaurant on Saturday 8/23/25 and both the food and service were excellent. Everyone we came in contact with was very polite, friendly and professional. I personally loved their corn bread muffins and asked if I could buy some to take back home. The young lady was very generous and I truly appreciated all that she did. The next time I'm in Baltimore, I definitely will be going there. The other ladies with me all felt the same way.“

“America's Best food is usually average at best but I gotta say, this is some of the best soul food I've ever had! (at least in a while) Mac & Cheese and yams were sticky with a crust, just the way I love them 😋 and the breading on the catfish and whiting is SO flavorful just like my family's cookouts! “I’ve been here twice and will return again! On Thursday nights they have live jazz. Both times we all were very satisfied with our food and cocktails. The cocktails are not watered down to say the least lol. The only issue is that the food takes a while to receive however the food is always hot. Great service by staff from the beginning to the end!“

“Been a vegetarian since the mid seventies and we use to have to travel to Philly, New York and DC to find a high level of Vegan cuisine. Kai has brought an exceptionally superior Vegan cuisine to our area and even with the Baltimore metro area’s rise in Vegan restaurants Dodah’s Kitchen is clearly one of the best, and absolutely should be the restaurant on everyone’s “bucket” list. Meet Kai, talk with her and one will soon realize that Dodah’s is a literal extension, an aspect of her being. She is meticulous and one of the best definitions: (taking, showing, or involving great care and effort) Synonyms for meticulous: careful, conscientious, fussy, loving, painstaking, scrupulous, and to me, this reminds me of Mama in the kitchen !! and with that, we don’t even have to talk about the food.“
