“Came here because Tasty 68 was closed for renovations, a little hesitant from the 1 star reviews, but we were really pleasantly surprised!

The food was excellent. Maybe even better than Tasty 68? We ordered the sha cha steak, shredded pork, and Mongolian lamb. Everything was cooked perfectly with crisp juicy veggies and tender meats.

It’s very much a Chinese American restaurant, but there were more than the usual basics on the menu and the people working there are Chinese.

Service was also prompt and great. We put in our orders, got waters and tea, refills, food, and the bill all quickly when asked.

We’ll be back for sure!“

“The pickled fish here is surprisingly delicious! The fish is fresh, the pickled cabbage is just the right amount of sour, very appetizing, and the spiciness is moderate. I want to have another serving after finishing it. The side dishes are also very rich.“

“My family dined in to try more authentic Chinese because we don’t like most American Chinese food.

Our server was so kind and helpful with me deciding what to order. The soup he recommended with beef strip was so good! It was spicy and flavorful. The mushroom soup is delicious with its subtle flavors. My daughter got a beef strip dry noodle dish that rivaled the spicy soup, it was so good. We tried a few small sides that were hit and miss for our preferences but I’m still happy they were available for us to try.

The dining room was typical of Asian dine in or take out, nothing fancy but clean, quiet and comfortable. I appreciated the service as much as the food. I’ll return for take out given I’m not familiar with Chinese etiquette and worried I sent away to get it off the table since we all tried it but weren’t fans, might have caused confusion or offense unintentionally.

I’m glad this place in is the community. I really enjoyed tasting authentic Chinese for the first time in many years.“

“Amazing girl’s night out dinner. The lychee rose martini was spectacular! We had a scallion bubble pancake, chengdu garlic steamed pork belly (1 level spicy for these American girls who like a little spice), vegetable fried rice, and steamed pork soup dumplings (have to have the black vinegar and ginger with it). Hands down we would order every one of them again. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. It was super busy and bustling and full of animated conversations. Family friendly but not impacting parities without children. It was not too loud, so we could carry on a conversation easily. Absolutely recommend dinner here for a fun and delicious night out.“

Credit card fees for small businesses are astronomical which is why it's preferred to spend over a certain amount if you are using a credit card. Credit card companies are slamming small businesses, so some of your orders this restaurant would rather lose because you're actually costing them money with your small orders. #ijs“

“Got some lunch before grocery shopping. The food was excellent! I got the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special with fried rice and an egg roll. Everything was really good. The Kung Pao Chicken had a lot of fresh vegetables and the sauce was perfect! As a chinese American born in China. I’ve had a lot of Chinese food. This was one of the best King Pao Chickens I’ve ever had. The fried rice was also great, as well as the egg roll. Classic Chinese flavors, done well!“

“Ordered to go because they had no takeout. Hot and sour soup was not very hot or sour. General tsos was excellent, egg rolls were excellent, white rice was excellent, spare ribs were excellent. All for around 42.00 including tip. Very good deal.“

The wonton soup ($2.95) has 3 good sized wontons. Both soups come with a bowl of tastier-than-average fried wonton strips on the side that I end up munching on during the entire meal. The sizzling black pepper beef ($16.95?) was tasty, but I was more impressed by the noodle dishes. The beef chow fun ($14.95?) and the Singapore mei fun ($13.95) were beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly. I've also gotten the salmon nigiri ($5.95?) a couple times, and it's generously portioned and fresh with great quality salmon. Every meal ends with a complimentary tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream and fortune cookie. There are plenty of good Chinese restaurants in MoCo, but Gourmet Asian Bistro is my current favorite for best flavor and value.“
