“Visited the newly opened Tapioca Express in Herndon today. Enjoyed their boba and was surprised they had so many snack options!! Favorites were the shrimp tempura with sweet chili sauce and the fried string beans. They didn’t seem very fried which is good in my book. Nicely seasoned too. Their crispy chicken was also good we were able to choose the spice level and I went with medium which was perfect. The chichi fries were great… love the chichi sauce that comes with it! As for drinks I loved the Mangonada. It was so beautiful and delicious for how hot and humid it was outside. Also enjoyed the honeydew snow bubble and combination yogurt frost which tasted similar to a Greek yogurt parfait with fruit. The staff was very friendly, the space is cute but small more of a to-go and enjoy outside type of place. They do however have a high top table if you’re able to snag it! Definitely coming back to try more of their menu soon!“

“I pick Black Lion Cafe over Starbucks because I love the atmosphere and baristas.“

“A hidden gem in downtown Rockville, near the metro station and town center. Their brewed coffee is very good (though I wish they'd let customers add milk themselves) and the freshly prepared foods are also excellent. (I can recommend the parfait and the quinoa-butternut squash salad.) The cafe is counter-service with an airy, light-filled sitting area; very pleasant atmosphere and solid wifi. One cashier is a little brusque but the other staff are extra friendly.“

In addition, I wanted to give a special shout out to Nicki who is a ray of sunshine and always goes the extra mile to ensure that customers are taken care of. “I have been here a lot in the last 6-8 months. I have a mixed experience with this location. The atmosphere is great and clean, workers are nice but too shy. They decided to not give out water and lock up the bathroom unless you pay. It's not a rule that all Starbucks implements since I have been to ones where they don't care who uses the bathroom. I like how it's located at the shopping center and makes it convenient to get some drink after shopping.“

“Recently took my Breville espresso machine for repairs. Unfortunately the parts weren't available for that machine, but they guided me through picking a much better machine that is serviceable and could last for much longer. They are extremely knowledgeable with high end prosumer espresso machines, and I ended up with the amazing Izzo vivi pid plus at a really great price.“

“Out of the 5 or 6 Starbucks near me this location is consistently more favorable. The staff are 1 notch more mature in their service and sensitivity to the needs of the customers who either study or work remotely from this location. ALL of the team Leads at this location are masters of their craft and customer service.
On this particular evening, the "Service Master" was Ryan who I observed him do something I have not seen done before at Starbucks. He perfectly aligned each Chair-to-Table. Each table was symmetrically aligned in 1 row with a chair symmetrically aligned in 1 row. This resulted in the coffee shop looking a lot more organized. Thanks Starbucks crew at the Spectrum Ave location.“
