“Celebrated my birthday at Empress Coffee & Cocktails with my girls, and it was everything! The food and drinks were incredible -- we tried so many dishes and loved every bite. The Persian pizza (a house favorite) was full of flavor, the soup and grilled cheese combo was pure comfort, and the turkey + havarti sandwich, bacon egg croissant, and margarita pizza were all delicious and perfectly done. The drinks? Just wow. The espresso martini is an absolute yes! We also loved the butterfly margarita, lava-shak martini, and Malibu sunset -- all beautifully crafted and fun to sip. Plus, they offer a nice selection of wines and juices to purchase. Shots were order as well. Had too much fun didn't take pictures of all the food and drinks. The space itself is perfect for a girls' day or night out -- stylish and cozy with beautiful lighting and thoughtful décor. We especially loved the artwork of the girl with the pearl earrings -- such a fun and elegant touch! We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves, which made the whole evening feel extra special. Huge shoutout to Sam, the owner, who was such a warm and welcoming host. Highly recommend this gem for a celebration or a chill hangout. Can't wait to go back!“

But the cream filled strawberry croissant and matcha filled donut was delicious! The milk bread is soft and flavorful. Japanese cheesecake was ok. Also got a strawberry lychee cake to go and that was also delicious! Soft and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness! Nice to be able to do grocery and grab a sweet treat on my way out!“

“Visited the newly opened Tapioca Express in Herndon today. Enjoyed their boba and was surprised they had so many snack options!! Favorites were the shrimp tempura with sweet chili sauce and the fried string beans. They didn’t seem very fried which is good in my book. Nicely seasoned too. Their crispy chicken was also good we were able to choose the spice level and I went with medium which was perfect. The chichi fries were great… love the chichi sauce that comes with it! As for drinks I loved the Mangonada. It was so beautiful and delicious for how hot and humid it was outside. Also enjoyed the honeydew snow bubble and combination yogurt frost which tasted similar to a Greek yogurt parfait with fruit. The staff was very friendly, the space is cute but small more of a to-go and enjoy outside type of place. They do however have a high top table if you’re able to snag it! Definitely coming back to try more of their menu soon!“

“Fantastic pastries! The fruit/berry pastries and mochi donuts are my go-to and my husband loves all the varieties of croissants. The coffee can be hit and miss (sometimes the flavorings they put in their specialty lattes are a tad overpowering) but they're good enough that I will keep ordering them. Staff is always great, too. Very friendly and they work hard to make sure the displays are full and fresh.“

“Love this store. Always friendly atmosphere. The barista, Elisabeth I believe, kept a conversation with me while making my drink, asking for my foam preferences and temperature, because I told her I had a long day ahead of me. She wanted to ensure my drink stayed warm throughout my day. She smiled and wished me a wonderful day. I hope her manager thanks her on my behalf. She is one of the few baristas that keep up the customer care aspect of Starbucks that has been unfortunately dwindling.“

“This is a very nice location, and the drive thru is a great convenience. Everyone here is always super nice, particularly one gentleman on the headset who always sounds extra excited to be there. Sometimes the wait can be a little long, but that is to be expected when you're going during peak hours.“

“I have been here a lot in the last 6-8 months. I have a mixed experience with this location. The atmosphere is great and clean, workers are nice but too shy. They decided to not give out water and lock up the bathroom unless you pay. It's not a rule that all Starbucks implements since I have been to ones where they don't care who uses the bathroom. I like how it's located at the shopping center and makes it convenient to get some drink after shopping.“

“If you're looking for an intimate, casual, soul food place then you've found your new favorite spot. On a whim, we stopped here after church for Brunch. I reserved a table online for 2pm but was able to get seated 10min before our time. Brunch ended at 3pm so we only dined for about an hour. The place was PACKED but the vibe was intimate and lovely. Everything we had came out hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We ordered the Honey Biscuit w/ Peach Preserves, Shrimp and Grits, Fried Whiting, Collards with Smoked Turkey, Cheesy Grits, and the Chicken and Waffles. I was only able to get a pic of the Fried Fish and the Shrimp and Grits because my family dug in so fast!

For drinks, we ordered one Peach Ice Tea and a Hot Chocolate for our kids. Our server was very nice and she checked on us as food was coming out. We waited quite a bit for our omelet and it never made it out but we weren't upset about it because we understood how busy it was.

We paid $32pp plus tax for brunch which wasn't bad considering portions, authenticity to the brand, and the consistency of the quality. I do think the drinks are a bit expensive as the Peach Iced Tea was $8 a glass. They were about the size of a mason jar. The music was relative to the ambiance with its modern rustic feel incorporated by shades of brown, greens, and gold.

Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and I look forward to returning with family and friends.“

“A friend and I had dinner at Nordstrom Market Place at Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) on Saturday, 1/18/2025. The dinner was exceptional. From the Chef's Selection menu, I chose the braised beef ragu served with cheese tortellini, and it was outstanding. I swear the tortellini tasted like it was made fresh just for me - it literally melted in my mouth. The braised beef was cooked to perfection. The ragu sauce, with chunks of tomato and spinach, was delicious. My friend had the tomato basil soup and a beautiful salad and said both were delicious. We had a 6 pm reservation but it wasn't needed as the restaurant was not crowded. On a scale of 1-5 (5 belong difficult to converse with others at your table), I give this restaurant a 0.5 - the room was peacefully quiet. We had no problem conversing with each other and there was no background music coming through the speakers. Staff were attentive and pleasant. I highly recommend this cozy restaurant and plan to return very soon.“

“We (on a whim) stopped in with a group of ten, 10 year old girls after a morning of playing at Activate. We probably threw the staff off for a few minutes until we got everyone situated and the staff handled it wonderfully. It was a lot of kids to come in at lunchtime on a Sunday and we really appreciated the staff stepping up to keep things moving right along so we didn’t impede anyone else’s experience. The girls had a wonderful time getting a treat or two and we did as well. At the end, someone realized it was our daughter’s birthday and brought over a slice of cake and a candle. Over the top thoughtfulness and kindness. I was already a fan of Paris Baguette, but even more so after our experience.
