“First and foremost, be prepared to spend money if you come here. My bill was nearly $90 for just me. But, I had the best fried pickles I've ever had, a delicious chicken cordon blue grilled cheese sandwich, and many different craft brews which were all fantastic. The fruit beer in my pic is one of the best beers I've ever had. I love the self-pour, self-order system, but it's just pricey. Still, the whole experience was 5 stars for me!“

“Fun bar to chill and hang out with friends, or meet new ones. There are 3 pool tables and more than 6 screens. There is even a pull down screen when they have video games. The pool tables are 7 foot bar tables and well felted. You pay with a card on the table and it’s about $2 a rack. The vibe is good with various music and neon lights. Very Instagramable if you like taking photos with neon and fake plant walls. There is bar seating and seating at tables. There is no food at the Toro Bar so bring your own.
Toro always has sports on TV and drink specials. They have a beer and shot special and other mixed drinks. Don’t expect a world class cocktail, but expect a fun night and good people. This is a good neighborhood bar in Columbia Heights and Uptown. A short 10 minute walk from the Petworth Metro station. It’s right on 14th Street NW and off the bus line too. There is street parking in front.
Parking: There is street parking on 14th Street and the side streets. You have to have a permit on some streets.“

“This speakeasy in DC is awesome! It’s got plenty of space, so you’re not squished up against people, which is great. The wooden walls and red velvet chairs make it feel super fancy, like you’re stepping back in time or something. The drinks are really good—lots of options, and they all taste amazing. The vibe is chill but classy, and it’s a cool spot to hang out with friends or impress someone on a date. Definitely worth checking out!“

“This review is dedicated to those reviewers who say Ama’s food is either ‘bland’ or they were ‘still hungry’ after eating there-
this is because you are used to eating at restaurants that use fake ingredients and artificial flavor enhancers, as do most in the country, so sorry but you have no idea what real food tastes like. Ama makes real food, intentionally and wholeheartedly. They partner with local farmers, cook with real ingredients, and create a menu that will leave you feeling satiated and wonderful, as my friends and i did even after we ate through the menu AND ordered 4 desserts at the end.
so yeah, their food isn’t ‘bland’ , you probably have just never tasted food that wasn’t grown in a lab and loaded with artificial flavoring and addictive chemicals. try harder!“

“We went there 3 evenings in a row. Bar at the top, waiter on Wednesday at the top, waitress on Thursday at the top. On the other hand, the waitress on Friday evening, a STÉPHANIE H, no smile and not pleasant. Too bad for the bar. We will not return for 4 evenings.“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ STK Steakhouse - An Exceptional Dining Experience Incredible dining spot perfect for a pre-theater dinner! The venue itself is beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious - I particularly enjoyed the seabass. What truly elevated the experience was the outstanding service. The timing was perfect, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely meal before catching a play. “When you think of a speakeasy… this place looks like what comes to mind. Down a flight of stairs leading to oversized doors you find yourself stepping back in time and greeted by a skilled bartender sporting a handlebar mustache. Great for an after dinner drink or to just hang out with friends.“

“One of the best hospitality experiences we have ever had. My wife and I enjoyed a glass of wine in their lounge. The two bar tenders in the cafe were amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful and has an amazing vibe. Then we grabbed an espresso martini at their bar. Holy moly was it great. The attention to detail in making our drinks was remarkable. A tremendous amount of pride and love was put into each drink I saw the staff make. Every thing was perfect with our experience. The service, the drinks, and the atmosphere. This is a must stop if you are in Denver. Thank you for treating us so well!!“

“This is an ideal place to relax, drink, and chat. It's also a small business with a lot of friendly regulars. It's also an Ohio bar. The food is solid, but the atmosphere is really the draw. The person who is serving you or working in the kitchen is highly likely to be the owner.“

“My first taste of East coast soul food and I must say it was delicious. Family business and I have been adopted into the family. I feel safe my baby bison has Uncle James, Mama Charlene and Aunty Nikki across the street from the School of Business at Howard University.“
“Great venue to see a variety of music. Standing and/or tables on the floor before the stage, depending on the act, with several standing tables adjacent to the bar, which services inside patrons as well as those sitting at a few tables out in front. Acoustics were awesome, and those who are hearing challenged that may wonder how "loud" it gets for, say, a fully outfitted band...it can be loud, but not uncomfortably so.“

“A cute little dive bar! Certainly got busy, which was nice, though it bordered too crowded at some points. This is really not the fault of the bar though, and shows instead that it’s loved by the community! Drinks were reasonably priced and darts were free to play.“

“Edit: metrobar responded and the parent was a contractor, not associated with the business. Other than the strange experience with him, metrobar was lovely and had delicious drinks, perfect before seeing a movie.
I had a disturbing experience at metrobar tonight (12/6 at around 6 PM). A man working , in his late 30s/early 40s, left his 3-year-old daughter unattended in a busy bar at night. The little girl was clearly scared and looking for her dad, who did nothing to ensure her safety. She wandered around the bar, playing with guests and talking to strangers, without supervision.
It is deeply troubling to see a child left alone in a dark corner of a bar, without a jacket, and with no one to ensure she doesn’t wander out the door. When I finally got the man’s attention and confronted him about his negligence, he got defensive, claiming others were watching her. However, it’s not the bartenders’ or bussers’ job to babysit. It’s his responsibility to keep his child safe.
Whoever this man was, owner or manager, shame on you. You’re very lucky your child stayed safe tonight. This experience makes it hard to support this business, and I doubt I will ever be back to support metrobar :(“

“This place was a full-on vibe. Black people are having a good time. No drama, no confrontation, no attitude... what I got was potent drinks, DJ that was spinning, and no problems taking requests. The owner is cool af... GO ARMY., works hard to keep B64 clean and safe, and was enjoying himself just as everybody else (all while making money and getting paid). I want that job. Sasha cool af keeping the hookah going and Sky, who kept the bar hydrated... yeah, security was there to pat us down, but it's District Heights (no offense DH'rs), they are just keeping us safe... Bryan, I'll be back to support.“
