“My sister been trying to get me here and today she finally did. I had shrimp fried rice and my sister got fried shrimp. They DO NOT play about portions. This was not a large but definitely felt like it compared to other businesses large. Flavorful, hot and ready to be devoured. Trust I will be back! My daughter even licked her plate lol. Their fried shrimp is on a whole other level. Crispy, flavorful as well and juicy. They could be large, but I consider them to be jumbo. Never judge a book by it's cover because this place is a best seller.“

“The manager John at this location is a 10/10. We can’t thank him enough for his kindness and for making us feel how we did. His entire team was warm, polite and made us feel welcome- especially Michael who first took our order. He even made me a special coffee for my long trip post meal. The whole team Pitched in to help us find our son’s missing stuffed animal and while we didn’t find it, the effort put in was tremendous. We are unsure if someone in the community picked up a small stuffed black cat at this location but we are offering a reward if anyone did and can mail it to us. My 2.5 year old son adores this stuffed animal and is so sad it’s missing. The store has our information/you can message me here if you have any information. “This place was recommended and I am so glad we tried it. Healthy food. So many options. I ordered the Jerk Mango Salad. I didn’t change a thing and wouldn’t. Perfect kick without being too spicy. Mango salsa was the best I’ve had. We also ordered the BBQ bowl. I wouldn’t change a thing in it. Try the Red Rice. It’s really good. Staff was quick, explained the menu and ordering process and also offered a taste of you weren’t sure you’d like something. 10/10. I’ll be back again.“

“I love Chopt Salad, and I come to this location at least once a week. The ingredients are always so fresh. What I am disappointed in is the service after 3pm. I walk in at 545pm and only 2 people ahead of me, and 4 gentleman behind the counter. Grant it they are cleaning up, but ignoring customers, and leave one gentleman to pack salads, chop, and ring customers is unacceptable. Bad customer service will definitely have me going next door to roti.“

“I regularly come to this location as it's close to my home. But tonight I was given exceptional service by both the manager Carlos and his employee David. I went to an event earlier that was serving food but I came too late to be served, once the event was over, I came to cava during its closing minutes hoping it was not too late. I explained to David my situation, he checked in with Carlos to make sure that I just met the buzzer, and they graciously took care of me. They need to be rewarded for generosity!“

“Our second full day in DC and this was our second stop at this location for lunch. My wife and I both had a craving for a gyro. We both got beef gyros. They were both delicious. The pita was full of meat, sauce, lettuce, tomato and onions. Overall, it was a great lunch“

“This is the best Chopt in DC. The atmosphere feels welcoming and when you walk in I was greeted by two respectful employees of this establishment. I am a vegan and sometimes my options are limited so Karen and Yessica guided me to pick the Chopt Greek with Falafel. They were very fast and very efficient. They took good care of me and I left Chopt satisfied. The salad was delicious, the establishment was clean, & I would rate 10/10!!! Everyone should come down to eat at this Chopt.“

“This past Thursday (4/25), I went to the restaurant to use my birthday rewards to purchase a meal. Unfortunately, the link to retrieve my reward was not working. However, the cashier was nice enough to notify the manager and the manager gave me a discount after I showed him my email with the rewards information. This showed that the cashier and manager went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer services. And the meal, as always, was great!!!!“

“Red Hound Pizza has become the favorite pizza place in Takoma Park for me and many of my friends who live nearby. Their pizzas are hearty and delicious with a thick, 100% whole wheat crust using flours that are grown and milled by one of their neighbors just down the street. They also use local produce when possible and therefore their veggie pizza rotates every two weeks. They also have soft serve which rotates regularly with fun toppings like roasted pear or dehydrated chocolate cake. The owners are really great. The pizza is on the expensive side ($4-5/slice) compared to other pizza so you gotta pay a premium for high-quality ingredients. They also sell pizza by the slice. You can dine-in for casual eating -- they only have a few small tables inside and some more picnic tables in a closed off parking lot in the back. Take note: their pizza is rectangular! And the crust will taste different from almost any other pizza you've had bc of the 100% whole wheat sourdough. Also they don't have gluten-free options but they do always have a vegan option. fwiw Red Hound always uses 100% whole grains -- this will appeal to some (more protein, more fiber!) and not to others.“

“Very convenient distance from our hotel—just a two or three minute walk. It took a minute or two for us to figure out the right place to start in the line, and no one helped us at first when we got there. The employee who helped us was nice, but they had a difficult time hearing what I was saying, and at one point filled my bowl with something I didn't ask for. The other employee at checkout asked what base and protein I had gotten—it would have been easy to lie and get a cheaper meal.

The food itself was great, and I was happy with the price point. I think the experience could be improved with labels on the glass to point at so employees don't mishear me, as well as some way of marking the bowls so the cashier doesn't have to ask what I got.“

What makes it even better is the warm and excellent service. Dilcia, in particular, is always so welcoming and friendly she truly brightens my day every time I visit. Being the Southern inspired menu, we opted for the fried green tomato appetizer, panko breaded deviled eggs were an unexpected and unusual offering that was phenomenally delicious. We also enjoyed their cajun pasta to round out the meal. We had courteous service from staff that were friendly, responsive and informative and efficient and fun. Very reasonable priced for quality and quantity of food. Highly recommend.“
