“We stopped in Emmitsburg for gas and chow, on our way back to NY, and decided to forgo McDonalds for once and get a pie from Carleo’s when we spotted the store front. So glad we did…possibly the best pizza we ever had! We hit the road and ate the whole 16” pie in 10 minutes and were seriously debating on turning around for another.”

“I decided to try this place not knowing it was around the corner from me and Ive lived around here for a few years. I This place is amazing! The food was fresh, perfectly made and was some of the absolute best Chinese food I have had in many years. I don’t eat a-lot of Chinese due to past experiences but this place blew my mind and I will definitely be back. The general tso chicken was made perfectly even with my special requests. Highly recommend this place if you are wanting some amazing takeout for a reasonable price.”

“Stayed for the first time and it will not be the last. The history and preservation being done by the new owners truly honors the past. Our room was beautiful and breakfast was great. The owners were fantastic and knew a lot of the history. Highly recommend a stay here.”

“We had our first visit on 1/11/25, it definitely will NOT, be our last! My husband never had crepes, he is now a huge fan! Everything was amazing, I got the Spiced Chai Tea with the Strawberries and Cream Crepe. It was so big I couldn't finish. My husband got a coffee and Little Piggy Crepe, he's in love and already planning a day trip just to go to The Cottage Creperie! You gals Rock !”

“Im going to be honest: I didnt know what to expect after reading mixed reviews, however Im glad we chose to ignore those and give it a try. While the place is "children friendly" (mine are grown) this isn't the atmosphere. The environment is mid to upscale but warm and inviting. We were dressed down for the occasion but were treated just the same. Our bread plate was amazing (app) and we both got the shrimp with Tabboullah and it was by far the best dish in Gettysburg we have had so far. Our server, Donna, was attentive and the runner from the kitchen delivered a hot plate. 🔥 The homemade lemonade and the Amber Brew from Williamsport,Pa was delicious. We will be back. 😀”

“A great little place to get out of the heat and have a great bite to eat. It’s so hot out today and the cold Club Sandwich was perfect! Sierra our server was prompt and kept checking back on the 3 of us, our granddaughter said her sandwich was delicious and my husband had the cheesesteak and pasta salad. The restaurant is really clean and sporty with baseball memories. Absolutely recommend it!”

“–50 The bar is very nostalgic. I ate in the restaurant section and it has a throwback vibe to it. The service was good and so was the food. My only complaint is the red skinned mashed potatoes seemed to be microwaved. I got the mushroom chicken with a cream sauce and it was excellent. Definitely a cool stop to grab a pint and a bite to eat.”

“We have gone a few times and always the food was amazing. My son always ask to go here. We went yesterday and the food was amazing as always except for one of the desserts that was very watery. The only thing we didn’t like was the service this time. The lady seems upset and didn’t seem to want to serve us. I even asked for which pie flavor was the best and her response was I don’t eat pie. Very sad this happened because its an amazing place. They just loss a customer.”

“My boyfriend and I went for breakfast/brunch two days in a row with no complaints. The staff were friendly, wait time for our food was minimal and the food was amazing and very cheap. I loved their French toast as it was homemade bread and not in an egg wash but a batter. The sausage, eggs and home fries were delicious as well. I’ll be back on my next trip to Gettysburg!”
