“Carriage House Inn was great to work with for our wedding! At the tasting Christy was super attentive and friendly. At our actual wedding all the servers were great! Any time I would come back to my table my water glass would be magically filled again, it was so nice! About 30 minutes before the ceremony started my sister noticed one of the arches (the main focal point behind the bride and groom table) was still in pieces and started trying to build it as quickly as possible. She said the server(s) asked if she needed help assembling it (so sweet!) My sister said they had it built in no time and even hung the string lights and cloth on the arch. I really really appreciate that! The food was also amazing. Especially the parmesan chicken. I highly reccomend them!”

“Another great experience at The Ott House on 5/25/25!......food was awesome!.....Oyster sammich with 4 HUGE oysters.....New England clam Chowder.....cheeseburger plate. Our server, Lexi, was on top of everything. Obviously was not her first rodeo.😋 Keep up the good work!”

“We stopped in Emmitsburg for gas and chow, on our way back to NY, and decided to forgo McDonalds for once and get a pie from Carleo’s when we spotted the store front. So glad we did…possibly the best pizza we ever had! We hit the road and ate the whole 16” pie in 10 minutes and were seriously debating on turning around for another.”

“Just had the most amazing lunch! The crab legs, delicious crabs, shrimp, and crab soup was absolutely perfect. Our waitress, Dawn , was incredible! She checked on everything we needed and even refilled our daughter's drink when she was looking a bit sad about other things. I'm from Baltimore and this place blew away most local restaurants. My family and I will definitely be back!”

“The food is delicious and season just right; I would rather eat there at Mount University than at the regular restaurants in the area of Frederick and Gettysburg. The price and portion is just right for my family and I on every visit.”

“Wonderful that it is on campus. But it's a noisy place even when not crowded. The soft pretzels are great. The Guinness pour is terrible. It's more bitter than canned Guinness Draught.”

“Stayed for the first time and it will not be the last. The history and preservation being done by the new owners truly honors the past. Our room was beautiful and breakfast was great. The owners were fantastic and knew a lot of the history. Highly recommend a stay here.”

“We had our first visit on 1/11/25, it definitely will NOT, be our last! My husband never had crepes, he is now a huge fan! Everything was amazing, I got the Spiced Chai Tea with the Strawberries and Cream Crepe. It was so big I couldn't finish. My husband got a coffee and Little Piggy Crepe, he's in love and already planning a day trip just to go to The Cottage Creperie! You gals Rock !”

“A great little place to get out of the heat and have a great bite to eat. It’s so hot out today and the cold Club Sandwich was perfect! Sierra our server was prompt and kept checking back on the 3 of us, our granddaughter said her sandwich was delicious and my husband had the cheesesteak and pasta salad. The restaurant is really clean and sporty with baseball memories. Absolutely recommend it!”

“The restaurant was busy but the staff definitely kept up! Everyone was friendly. I ordered the shrimp basket with fries and it was delicious! Food came out fast and hot. The shrimp was juicy and pretty good size. The fries were amazing as well. So thankful they had sweet tea! If I ever get to come back out this way I'm eating here again!”

“We have gone a few times and always the food was amazing. My son always ask to go here. We went yesterday and the food was amazing as always except for one of the desserts that was very watery. The only thing we didn’t like was the service this time. The lady seems upset and didn’t seem to want to serve us. I even asked for which pie flavor was the best and her response was I don’t eat pie. Very sad this happened because its an amazing place. They just loss a customer.”
