To say that the wings at this ABW in Fort Washington are absolutely the best I ever had, is an understatement. This is my new favorite place to eat when I head north to Maryland. “What an experience! I came from Alabama on a work trip. My fellow employees and I were trying to find a seafood restaurant and stumbled upon this restaurant on a Wednesday. And boy did we hit the jackpot! The food was amazing first off. Second off, we had been wanting to do karaoke and there was a DJ! We sang at the table while we were eating and had such an amazing time. The atmosphere is phenomenal! “Can I say EXCELLENT! We searched for dinner options on Saturday night and found SPs Cuisine through Google. I called to ask questions and the customer service was impeccable. I had a large order (10) and was understandably nervous, but the person on the phone was patient and knowledgeable. The food was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Everything was correct, the food was hot, and the chef did an outstanding job. We will definitely be back. This was our first time visiting Old Town Alexandria, and while we originally had another restaurant in mind, Vola’s won us over with its waterfront location and inviting menu. We were told the wait would be 25 minutes, but we were seated in just 15, already a great start. The staff was warm, friendly, and helpful with recommendations throughout the meal, making us feel right at home.

Taste:
We started with the crab hush puppies and oysters, both were so flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and reasonably priced. For our main course, we had the shrimp and grits and the fish and chips. Both dishes were fresh, satisfying, and generously portioned. Every bite was devoured. The drink of the night was a summer Prosecco and passion fruit special, light, refreshing, and delicious. The best part? The refill was cheaper. More restaurants should definitely take notes on that.

Ambiance:
Vola’s has the perfect laid-back yet elevated waterfront vibe. The view of the water, paired with a lively but not overwhelming crowd, made for a relaxed and memorable evening. It’s great for first-timers to Old Town, date nights, or a dinner out with friends.

However the lobster it's was bland. No salt whatsoever. They need to invest in Old Bay and use it. Season your food. I thought the tater tots didn't have salt, but once I got to the bottom I seen the salt, but the tots were also bland and burnt. I'd go back, but please season the lobster with Old Bay 😫 and all salt to the tots.“

I literally discovered one of very favorite bourbons here, Jefferson’s Ocean! The selections range from your basic line up, interesting new finds and hard to get must try’s. The man behind this whiskey magic is Edward, the bartender/manager. Edward is knowledgeable and loves to talk about his offerings, so don’t be shy, ask questions and be prepared to learn a little something! We have enjoyed everything from their brunch offerings, seafood and burgers! Wine to whiskey and everything in between and have never been disappointed! We recently moved, and now have to brave 45 minutes of Beltway traffic (and that’s on a good day as we all know..lol) to get to this spot. So if you good food, attentive service and an amazing selection of whiskey are your thing, trust me when I tell you this is the place for you!“
