“We went to check out the new Padaek in Arlington after having been to the Falls Church location a few times. This one is nice, service is amazing, and the food is good. Buuuuuuttttt, it's different...I like my food spicy, and knew to order it "Lao spicy". When it arrived at the table, I could see that it just had a bunch of chilis added. This gives it a bit of spice, but is more like a level 3 out of 5. It was just lacking the heat as when ordering spicy at the other location. Obviously, they don't want to overwhelm their guests with spice, but if you're asking for that level of heat, you obviously want it. Oh well...it's good, and the flavors are tasty...but the other location feels more authentic.“
“Love this place! I come in all the time and get the fried rice, but the curry and pad thai are also excellent.Vegetarian options: Not every dish on the menu can be served without meat, but many can! Tofu is an option for lots of the dishes that would normally have meat, and many of the curries don't have meat either.“

“Came here once by chance, and ended up daydreaming about the food for another month until I could make it back. Super clean and great service too. Best spring rolls I've ever had. Crab Rangoons were big and delightful. Great Thai tea with a beautiful color. Banana egg rolls so fun to eat with an amazing fragrance, and the Bulgogi Sandwich was so savory and huge. The portions on everything are beyond fair (I couldn't even close my sandwich box). Service had awesome attitude. 6 stars if I could?“
“Their sushi is very good, I have already eaten there several times and have also ordered takeout. The quality of the ingredients are good and fresh. Compared to other places, its price seems more than good to me for its quality.Once I ordered rice that came with shrimp and it was also very good.It's a nice atmosphere and the service is good.Only once did a girl who served us seem to forget our table and we had to be careful to call her to come to us, but otherwise they have good service.“
“My family and I come here at least twice a month and would be here weekly if we lived closer. They have the best sushi in NOVA. We’ve tried several places and this is the only place that comes close to sushi we’ve had on the west coast. Their fish is always fresh and they season their rice to perfection. They have lots of tasty looking dishes on their menu but the sushi is so good we have yet to try anything else.“

“Used to really like this place but we were denied seating on the patio unless we had a dog. We have two young children and it is much easier to manage them outside and there was no one else out there. “Tasty Thai lunch in Old Town! Tried sleepy shrimp for the first time and they were very good: juicy shrimp wrapped in a wonton wrapper and served with a sweet chili sauce. We also enjoyed the balanced Thai iced tea, pad Thai with chicken, spring rolls and pad ginger with shrimp. “The food is really good, and the service is friendly and fast, but the decor/ambience feel a bit dated, or cheaper than average. From the tabletops to the plates and silverware , most things around you feel on the cheaper side, which is a shame, especially when the food is that good.“
“Tom yum soup perfectly spicy and delicate. Green curry was spectacular. Eggplant was beautifully prepared, both texture and flavor! Standard (medium) was not especially spicy, but just left room for the rest of the flavors to shine. I only mention it, if you like spicy, you might want to ask for it. “I've been here several times in the past, but hadn't left a review, so since I stopped in for a to-go order on my way home from a Short Sale Class in Waldorf today, I thought I'd take a moment to leave my thoughts on this nice little Thai restaurant. Today I ordered the lunch special Pad Thai with chicken which came with a spring roll and some duck sauce. It was great, and actually stayed hot on my 30 minute drive home. In the past I've had, red curry chicken or shrimp, pineapple fried rice, and basil eggplant. I've never had a dish I didn't like, and their Thai iced tea is wonderful. Definitely check it out. The place was beautifully decorated with various Thai objects, including a large wooden animal figure hanging from the ceiling and wrapped in a Thai-patterned fabric, serving as the centerpiece. “I was in the area and was looking for a place to sit down and have a quick dinner. I decided I wanted some Thai food and found Sugar Palm. The restaurant was quite empty except for one or two tables that were occupied. It didn't give me a great feeling, but it was a week night so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Service was quick and they came to take my order soon after I was seated. I ordered the kao soi from their menu which I enjoyed along with the spring roll that they brought out.
