“Anticipating a chewing out at home following the police breakup of a scrum he initiated to defend a smaller boy from being bullied by three older males, Dick Grayson prepped for one of Bruce Wayne's caustic lectures in the opening pages of Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo's Eisner Award-winning graphic novel, "Leaping into the Light." Dick soon discovers that it's Alfred and not Bruce asking him what happened. "There was a kid. They were hurting him. I'm sorry, Alfred." "You're," Alfred paused. "Master Bruce may feel you should only be a hero when wearing a costume. But I'm glad Dick Grayson steps up when someone is in need. It takes a different hero to help without a mask." But what if the setting were Greenbelt, Maryland rather than Gotham City, and neither the teenage Barbara Gordon (Commissioner Gordon's daughter) nor the teenage Dick Grayson was around to help? Perhaps the best way to prevent such bullying would be to choose a culinary locale whose appeal cuts across class, gender, and race...a location that often has infectious K-Pop music videos in the background, a place whose specialties include Korean wings, fried rice, and even hibachi. The Bb.q Chicken tucked in the same Greenway Shopping Center as Safeway and Starbucks is just such a place. Both times I have been sent to pick up lunch I have encountered groups of five or six teenagers, split almost evenly between girls and boys, enjoying each other's company and salivating for their turn to place their own orders for golden original Korean Fried Chicken, Honey Garlic Wings, or even Wings of Fire (which my wife attests taste great even if "fire" for her is always a misnomer).“
“The employees were on the ball today! I was in shock. Sometimes not so fortunate. But today, the chicken was good, the service was fantastic. I only wasted eight minutes with four cars in front of me. What happent? Oh happy day y'all.“
“If you haven’t tried Cluckster’s you’re missing out! I was sad when they closed down the College Park location a few years ago and was to find this one!The boneless wings in nuclear sauce are my number one go-to menu option. Don’t let the name scare you, it is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, probably the same ”heat” as traditional buffalo wings, but a ton more flavor.Their customer service is great, the last few times I have visited Rob has been there. Last time I placed a phone order, he greeted me by my name as I walked in the door, try getting that at another fast food place!I would call it more fast casual than fast food, as they prepare your order in real time, and the wings are always fresh! Dining in is also an option and their eating area is clean and well maintained.Overall 5 stars across the board. Go visit Rob and try some boneless nuclear wings!“
“Bantam King is my go-to spot for a great meal when in downtown DC. I lived right by here for 2 years, and every time I went to Bantam King, I had a fantastic meal.I've eaten a ton of fried chicken in my life all over the US, and a decent amount across DC. I can absolutely say that their fried chicken platter is some of the best fried chicken I've ever eaten. I've also had the chicken ramen. Both my wife, who is a huge ramen lover, and I think it's fantastic.I also enjoy the mint sweet tea, and the desserts are really good as well. The atmosphere is super fun as well, great for any small group or couples. You probably won't be able to get in with a massive group (it's a small space)...but that's not what this place is really for.I've eaten here on my birthday the past 2 years, and I see that continuing in the future.“
“Very delicious sandwich and good fries. My complaint is with the service. We ordered online and picked up the food. We paid extra .50 cents for each lettuce on each butger and got only one burger had lettuce. I also asked for Rooster sauce and honey mustard but instead received 6 honey mustard sauces. This was my first experience and I would eat here again for the food quality. Hopefully this was a one off.“
“My husband treated us to lunch from Krazi Kebob, and his recommendation of the Chicken Kati Rolls turned out to be an absolute game-changer for my taste buds. As someone unfamiliar with this type of food, I had no idea what to expect, but let me tell you, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Chicken Kati Rolls. The chicken was bursting with flavor. The recommended side of spicy sauce added an extra kick that elevated the overall experience. To complement the rolls, we also ordered fries. They were perfectly cooked and paired exceptionally well with a mayo dip. Adding to the positive experience was the seamless pick-up process. Ordering was a breeze, and when we arrived to collect our meal, everything was ready and waiting. Definitely coming back!“
“The first time I came here I tried the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and that was my mistake. I didn’t realize how hot it was going to be. Finished my sandwich like a trooper though. Couldn’t let it go to waste. My 2nd visit I tried the Honey Garlic Chicken sandwich and it was AMAZING. Also, the dipping sauce for the fries is elite. Looking forward to my next visit.“
“You know when they say, "Hole in the walls have the best food." This is definitely true about this place. You would not expect delicious Indian cuisine from a chicken and waffle take out, but boy is it good. Love the chicken Biryani and their whole wings. Just plain good fast food, at a reasonable price with large portions enough for leftovers. .“
“First time visiting Roaming Rooster. The food was excellent, customer service was great, and surprisingly, they were playing old school hip-hop (The Bridge Is Over by BDP). The fries were boardwalk style. The additional sauces were a pleasant surprise. I ordered the honey butter with medium heat with oreo milkshake and the buffalo mild with half-and-half. The ice machine was broken, but the owner or manager mentioned going next door to accommodate us. Needless to say, we'll be back to try other selections.“
“I can only rate this place as average because I haven't tried the food. I pass this place often so I thought I'd drop in one day. I wasn't impressed with the menu nor the prices so I decided to leave and MAYBE try them on another day...“
“Small but really clean restaurant with variety of different selections...you can even mixed 'n match your orders. The staff are really accomodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend. The chicken and fries were really good. I actually have had it before over a friend's house this was my first time actually visiting the location.“
“Imagine this: You just won a hard basketball game. You step outside the gym and it hits you: an overwhelming hunger for fried chicken. You scour Google for places, and a humble local chicken spot catches your eye. You call them and order a box of chicken drumsticks. You drive a short distance to the place, and are promptly given your food after paying an almost criminally low price. Still skeptical, you walk back to the car and set the still warm box on your lap. You open it to see its golden contents: fried, crispy chicken wings and french fries coated in a mysterious seasoning. You take a bite of the chicken, and an explosion of flavor occurs in your mouth. The seasoning, the crispy breading, the warm, moist chicken combine to create a sense of awe and wonder. This is Hip Hop Fish and Chicken, your new favorite chicken spot.“
“The food was very good, I loved the salmon! It was well seasoned and well cooked, and very tasty. The chicken was also very nice too along with the lamb. All the dishes I had were lovely, It was some of the best food I’ve had in a while. I highly recommend to try this place out, great food, great service and a great price.“
“Review is for the chicken wings: delicious sauce options and perfectly crispy and crackly crust. Considering how crispy these wings stay even after sitting for a while the recipe for the batter/brine is definitely on point. They're always perfectly cooked as well. I hope they get more business because the block needs decent food options like this.“
“Food was FIRE. Ordered rotisserie chicken, and fajitas. Very tasty! So much flavor. Yellow rice was pretty good too. I ordered cole slaw as a side, and it was good but it seemed as if it was blended, mushy. Overall I would recommend this place.“
“The food was fine, but damn, the service was on point. The ladies who work there are so hospitable. It was awesome. I had been to this Nando's many many years ago and the ladies who worked here back then were **awful** - SO rude. Now it's like night and day. Keep up the good work, Nando's!“
“OMG!!!!! When I tell you that I have never tried a tastier roast chicken in the world, it is because it is true.... This place has one of the best foods with a lot of seasoning, it tastes so good and they give you good portions and the prices are fair. THANK YOU I'm going to come every day until I try the entire menu!!!!!!!! <3“
“The food is an amazing. It’s a carrot type of restaurant, however there is seating available. Ambiance is less than desired but again the food is always delicious and seasoned to perfection…..ALWAYS!!!!Vegetarian options: Everything can be ordered without meat.“
“Cool place for pretty cheap drinks in the Union Market area. Decent cocktail, beer, wine selection in a no frills environment with pool and beer pong. Bartenders are super friendly and service is quick! One downside is that the bathrooms here are really gross.“
“Food and service was pretty good. Just found out they cook with soy in just about all their foods.Been doing them for years but serving me a slither as a dessert is crazy. You cut the amount but forgot to cut the price?Vegetarian options: Broccoli and Brussel sprouts are bomb!!!“
“I'm from NY but I have family in MD that's not too far from this location, that recommended this place, NY Chicken & Fish. It's a clean & quaint establishment with an approximate 6-9 table seating area that's cozy. My family & I ordered take out & had the fried fish & a Philly cheesteak sandwich (all with fries) & we loved it all!The owner told us that he is originally from Brooklyn & he "clowned/teased us" for being from Long Island, NY which we are used to, lol. The staff is friendly & accommodating & the food is very good. Our wait time was minimal. My only disappointment was not making it back there before I left MD, but that was my fault! LOL I highly recommend NY Chicken & Fish restaurant & I DEF plan to re-visit them when I return to MD, Lord willing!Vegetarian options: There are limited vegan options.Kid-friendliness: They have kids meals & are a kid friendly establishment.Parking: They have parking on the premises.“
“Oh good Lord, the food is so good I must confess, it’s very well and professionally packaged. I love it and I have referred lots of my friends there already and they confessed it was and still is so good. I will be returning to get some more….“
“This was a very good Popeyes. It was very good for fast food. I tried the new Popeyes chicken sandwich and it was very good! I tried the plain and the spicy and I liked the spicy best. It added much more flavor and taste than the plain. This Popeyes was very clean and there was a line, however it did not take long at all. The staff was very nice. Again, it was very good for fast food and I would go back again.“
“My coworkers recommended Nando's. The decor and the music we so vibrant and upbeat. The staff was pleasant and efficient. The food portions, flavor and presentation were delicious! I would return when in the area.Vegetarian options: There were a number of vegetarian options.Parking: There is a paid parking lot right around the corner if you don't want to search for parking. We had a larger group so we paid $3. It was plenty of time.“
“I work close to YOUNG'S!! IT'S literally the best fried chicken breast I've ever had it's so good! I live in Baltimore so I've eaten from several chicken spots! But this chicken is on another level of goodness! If they were open on weekends I would drive an hour to get it that's how good it is!Parking: Enough parking“

“If you're on the hunt for an authentic and mouthwatering experience with Pollos a la Brasa, look no further! This hidden gem exceeded all expectations and left my taste buds dancing with joy. In addition to the fantastic food, the service was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and passionate about ensuring that every guest had a memorable dining experience.“
“First time here. I went before lunch time so the service was fairly quick. The place looked clean. The fiestas Fajitas with chicken, shrimp and steak was ok. Good quality and quantity, a bit too much onions and need a bit more flavors and seasoning! It was a bit too bland. Thank you.“
“I rated 5 stars because a friendly cashier made it an engaging and kind experience. The food was delicious and the ease of ordering was beyond caparable being as though I cannot pernounce some of the dishes due to the language barrier. My meal was delicious, I returned a second time in the same week.“
“Let me start with Ms. Lee, she is a very nice lady and hostess, very personable and welcoming. The wings are yet another example of the versatility of the humble bird that has found a place in kitchens around the world.I'm glad I made the trip! The only downside is that I wish that more Korean sides were on the menu.“
“Nice find, this little spot is hidden quite well but it's a good find because they have good latino food and fried chicken, I haven't tasted the chicken yet but it looks good and my customer service experience was very pleasant I just wish the food was a bit fresher but overall this is a good option for a quick“
“Tried something different this time had their salmon with sides instead of chicken it was pretty good and the beef stew was good to wifey had that with sides..even I was surprised until I taste it..Parking: It was a weekend so the lot was full..Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair accessible“
