Steve the bartender is currently a one man show and we were there on the weekend it reopened and he was so happy to be back in his happy place. The man is a cocktail maven who loves his craft and what he does and his customers as well.

There is currently no menu here you ask for what you want or can tell Steve what you are in the mood for and he will make something amazing!

I got a smoked old fashioned that he smokes with his own blend of wood and spices and it was easily in the Top 5 of best old fashioneds I've ever had.

“We were a little surprised to start the evening by ringing a doorbell to get in, but the warm welcome that followed put us at ease right away. The atmosphere is fantastically unique, quirky, and full of character. The bartenders were genuinely friendly and the service was quick.

We ordered the Mac ’n’ Cheese with Jerk Chicken, Yuca Bites, Chorizo con Arroz y Gandules and the Cinnamon Mini Donuts. Everything was perfectly seasoned (especially great if you enjoy a bit of heat like we do). The only downside was that the portions felt a bit on the smaller side.

It also looks like they host a lot of interesting events like book readings, sip-and-paints, comedy shows and more. We didn’t get a chance to attend one this time, but it definitely added to the charm and made us want to come back.“

“I had an Alma birthday gift card so it was time to use it on a Saturday night. We had a reservation at 6 but arrived earlier to enjoy the Bar and some apertivos. A good list/variety of Cocktails including Zero. Dan is the Man and not only made drink recommendations but navigated the menu for us. Lessons in Alliteration and the Mezcal y Manaca were my favorites, Guayabita and Vieja Escuela were also enjoyed.

We started with the Patacon Salvaje -Calamari, avocado etc-just wanted to look at it as it was a work of art-tasty, Tequenos-their version of cheese sticks-the Guayaba sauce takes it over the top!

First course-Alma Caesar salad-order it! Brussel sprouts, kimchi dressing-enough said, Caribe Atomico-have never had scallops (thinly sliced) this way before and loved it-the sauce wants to be spicy but stops at savory and the rice cracker complimented nicely-basically a Ceviche and another must try.

Entrees-based on recommendation went with the Solomo Criollo (prime NY strip)-came out medium rare as ordered and Yuca with Chimichurri was a perfect side.
The Duck Attolado stole the show! Exquisite spiced Duck breast
over a bed of rice similar to Paella-delicious!

“It is stunning. The photos online had us dying to come check it out and they did not disappoint. Every dish had a wow factor. The chef is so talented. A particular favorite was the quiche. You think you’ve had quiche before? You haven’t until you’ve tried this. My husband who doesn’t even like quiche said he would come back specifically to get it. Our server, Na was an absolute joy! Place - Clean + Pretty inside Food - AWESOME and hit the spot Service - Awesome, and helped when I had questions. Waiter - Was so very nice.. Portions - Were huge. Tacos were pretty much normal size but the Burrito was huge with some yummy cheese sauce. Bathroom - Ladies room was clean and tidy. Parking - Easy and lots of spots. Well that's all I can think of for now. Worth it: Hell yes!!! Great food, great people and AWESOME service!! Price - $$$ But it is worth the money. I would rather pay a bit extra and get great and large portions of food than spend $80.00 on Burger King that my family wanted the other day. I used to love Burger King but it was all dried out and the burgers tasted weird. Plus, one of the Whopper w/cheese meals was $18.00+. Paid $$$$ for a Bacon Cheese whopper and got a small arse Whopper Jr., no bacon, no cheese and not much meat. Then you can not get thru the automated 💩 to see if you can get the correct order. So paying a bit more for incredible food is worth it. MORE PEOPLE SHOULD EAT HERE AND SPREAD THE WORD SO THIS BUSINESS GETS BUSY AND STAYS OPEN!! “There is no food so I don’t know why people are giving 5 stars for food. It was confusing reading the reviews. We brought our own nuts. The servers/bartenders were there and then they were gone. The bartender was mixing and serving drinks at one point. Devon the bartender is an excellent mixologist! The drinks were amazing with unique ingredients. He should be getting the included 20% gratuity. I would recommend this spot for a before or after dinner drink(s) and I would come again. BTW we went on a Friday at 5pm.“

“Starting with the food, we had a great kahuna burger with fries and the churros for dessert. The burger was great with some really tasty onions on top and a nice balance of the teriyaki on the burger. The churro was also delicious with a nice soft bitter chocolate flavor to the dipping sauce that balanced well with the sweetness of the churro. I love the idea of being able to do arts and crafts while enjoying a drink and some food with friends after work. The “Locals Only” concept is clever, but despite visiting pretty regularly around that time, we don’t quite feel recognized as locals—something that could make the theme feel more meaningful.
