“My wife and I came in today for the lunch buffet, and everything was wonderful. It was hard to choose, but I did find my favorites that I went back for more of. Afterward, I wished I had saved room for dessert, because that was great too. They were very accommodating with my wife’s dairy allergy, and prepared some dishes, especially for her. I give them 10 out of 10. Everything was delicious.“

“I really enjoyed the food I had, starting with the vegetable samosa, and for my meal, I had the lamb shahi korma. I took an order of the butter chicken home with me. I also had the butter naan and a mango lassi with my meal. I really enjoy Indian food and this location is very convenient and close to my home. “I usually don’t eat Indian food, too spicy, but the ambassador makes the food just perfect for my taste. Special occasions when the mood is right, we go to the ambassador for that special taste of Indian cuisine. I’ve been going to the ambassador for the last 20 years. “Royal Taj is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, like our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week. It never fails to deliver excellence. Because it was a very special dinner, we decided to try something different. So my wife ordered the Lobster Malabar and I ordered the Grilled Halibut. Both were very good, especially the Halibut which was covered in an outstanding Corn Relish. To top off the evening our excellent server, Joshi, brought us a slice of very tasty cheesecake with a lit candle on top. As usual we cannot rave loud and often enough about Royal Taj and it is all due to the GM Binda, who is very friendly, charismatic and truly sets the tone of excellence at Royal Taj.“

“🥰 MR. AMIR and his family are absolutely lovely people. This is a family run business in the heart of Baltimore social life, between Inner Harbor, Harbor East and Fells Point (more to Fells Point side). It is our favorite Indian restaurant in Baltimore by far. My husband and I really enjoy their lunch buffets, they service freshly made food and have a variety of options. The lunch buffet has Indian salads, sometimes vegetable samosas, at least a few different meat entrees, at least a few different vegetable entrees, dessert, and always hot chai tea with sugar options. My husband and I enjoy going to not only eat the food, but also appreciate how friendly and hospitable Amir and his family are. They also have respectful staff, and run a very peaceful operation. We appreciate every visit, and when we leave, we feel like we have gained 5 pounds each (in a good way!). Looking forward to our next visit :) Thank you Mr. Amir and family!“

I have eaten lots of Indian food UP & down the east coast… India Tandoor is GREAT!

Hidden in a small convenience store in an end of the block row house, with just a small folding sign out front… this is truly a hidden gem.

Truly tastes authentic, lots of chicken included, and the sauce separates to show all the tasty layers before you get to mix it all back up. Rice was well seasoned and flavorful. Good portion of rice too. Food stayed warm on the 30m trip home too.“

“Been here twice, once was years ago pre-pandemic and it was fabulous. We said we should come back here more often but never did… then the pandemic messed everything up and we went travel nursing. Now we’re back in town again… AND ITS STILL AMAZING. I got a jalfrezi, and hubby got tikka masala. The medium felt like a true medium, not whitewashed. Service was lovely. We were one of two couples who dined in, but looks like they have a busy takeout business. So glad they didn’t disappear in the pandemic like so many other places! “Visited Veranda Kitchen recently. The ambience inside is cozy. The outdoor seating looks even more inviting.
We ordered Chicken Malai kebab and kolhapuri mutton curry. The goat curry was light and flavorful. The Chicken Malai Kebab tasted good (though slightly towards the lesser salted side, you may add accordingly!), but the portion size felt too small for the price.
The naans arrived slightly burnt the first time. The staff replaced them promptly, which was appreciated. However, the replacements didn't seem like they were freshly baked in the kitchen. They felt more like commercially available naans (may be Stone fire) that had been reheated. The staff were courteous and attentive, and the service was excellent throughout.“

“These guys make very good food, and they are very eager to please. They have two menus, one with American food like pizza and burgers and fried chicken, and the other with Indian food. Personally I like their non-curry dishes. It is quite spicy and never bland. Tonight I had the chicken thigh dinner which was very soft and spicy. It was fantastic. They also seemed to have invested a good amount of money into this place. Nice quality interior and good parking outside. The owner and the hostess both came to the table personally and asked us about how the food tastes. These people really care.“

“Located inside the lotte plaza food court, this is the place to be if you crave true traditional hyderabadi cuisine. Love the goat biriyani, goat Mandi and awesome traditional deserts. Must try the apricot delight.

“Fairly new to visiting the restaurant however the four (4) times I have dined or had carryout, the staff was welcoming, pleasant, the food was delicious (sidebar: I recommend the cream of crab soup), and the atmosphere was relaxing. My high school class reunion committee even planned our meeting there and was able to plan professionally without a lot of interruptions and A-1 service. I would recommend and do not have any bad reviews! Continue being a staple in the community.“

“While this won’t stop us from ordering their delicious food again, tonight’s experience just wasn’t the same. I ordered the family package with vegetarian Biryani, which included raita, salan, plain rice, naam, and chicken curry. We got our order and it was missing the salan. I called the restaurant and got the weirdest explanation. “It’s a very small container. They make a large container and if it runs out. But it’s just a small container of peanut sauce.” I don’t care what the size of the container is, it’s advertised as a package and I expect everything in the order.“

“This was my first time visit for lunch, and I ordered carry-out. To place and pick up my order was speedy & pleasant. Street parking was available directly in front of the restaurant.

The dining room was bright, clean and bustling. There was a lunch buffet in progress during my pick up. I observed many options to choose from on display. However, I had already ordered the Tarka Daal, Chapati, Aloo Paratha & the Chicken Tika Masala.

Everything I ordered was spiced to the correct heat level, flavorful & quality.

The price points are standard and well worth the price. I'm definitely going to check out this place again.“

A great all rounder if you like to get a tasting of a bunch of dishes at a go. Also a call out for the coriander chicken dish, well marinated and cooked to a tender, flavorful awesomeness. “I am a pizza snob. I have had the best in Connecticut, NY and Chicago...Baltimore's has one other great pizzeria (which I will not name here) but this spot!?!?!? OMG. Indian Pizza was the hook that drew me in. The Indian food on the menu is fantastic, and then the Indian pizza? Its the best pizza in Baltimore and can hold its own with the best up north. Seriously. The staff is kind and its the perfect spot to order and pick up food. But yeah, the pizza here is as good as advertised if not better.“

We requested a few items that were not on the menu, and they accommodated them without any hesitation. Another thing we really appreciated was their willingness to cater for a small gathering of about 10 people, especially since many other caterers we approached would not accept orders for fewer than 25 people. They handled everything professionally and with great care. Overall, an excellent experience and wonderful service.“

The bread was nice and thick to hold the tasty and well-cooked paneer /chicken along with salad-like filler material. Great portion size, reasonably priced, and the order was ready on time.
