We always have a tuna and oysters! The ambiance was stunning with low lights and a sleek black color palette that set the perfect mood. “I was visiting the DC area and wanted pizza, so I decided to try Matchbox. I love a meaty pizza, so I ordered The Pig, which was loaded with pepperoni, ham, sausage, salami, and bacon, and it was super cheesy! Most of the toppings were underneath the cheese. I chose a 10-inch pizza, which was a good size if you have a big appetite or want to share with a friend. The service was excellent; my waiter was very attentive. The space was clean, relaxed, and private enough for each party to enjoy their own area.“

I really enjoyed all the courses. The beef was so tender and flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed the dessert as well. The only downside was that we had been walking all day through the city and my phone had died. I was hoping they might be able to let me charge my phone briefly so we could get home but they were unable to do allow that.“

“Friends and I visited Tabard Inn for a birthday brunch celebration. We had a great table in the back with plenty of room for our very talkative, lots of laughter group. Absolutely wonderful food and service including a birthday card! The eggs benedict with crab was outstanding and reports were excellent on the Tabard Inn breakfast. The smoked cheesy grits were a hit as well. Very gracious and welcoming staff and a wonderful time was had by all. We definitely hope to return for another celebration or for just good food and atmosphere.“

“This was my and my fiancé's first time dining at this restaurant a few nights ago. We made a table reservation via OpenTable for 7:00pm, arrived at 6:50pm, and we were seated right away. From previous reviews I heard I was a good idea to make reservations, so that seems to be accurate from our experience because it was definitely a full house. The food is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it because it was delicious. I enjoyed my appetizer of Fiesta Egg rolls which were definitely cheesy, hot, and full of shredded chicken and lots of flavor. For entrees I got the Prime Rib (medium) which was cooked perfectly with some redskin mashed potatoes 😋 my fiancé got the Eastern Shore style crab cakes which were broiled and very tasty; came with coleslaw and show string french fries. My fiancé enjoyed all of his meal, with the exception of the coleslaw which he did not partake in due to health reasons. I also tried to Elite Margarita which was pretty good but a tad strong on the tequila for my liking, but the lime slice helped to take down some of the bitter alcohol taste for me 🙂👍🏾 The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxing, classy, and dimly lit which we loved because it had a romantic vibe to it. Our server, Olivia, was very friendly and welcoming and was on point making sure everything was to our liking. We will definitely be returning again to this location.“
