“So thankful for this location providing an excellent customer service experience. I called four different Dunkin’s before reaching this location. I called the store yesterday morning trying to track down a new blinged out tumbler that Dunkin released, which I just knew would sell out quickly as it would be sold at limited locations. To my surprise the staff member who answered the call stated that there was only one more left. When I asked if they would hold it for me they said sure. I gave them my name and upon my arrival the staff member I spoke to remembered me and went to the back to grab my cup. The staff member mentioned they had just put them out yesterday on Tuesday and by the next day there was only one left, which is the one I was able to get a hold of. Talk about a Merry Christmas to me. A big thank you to the Dunkin’ staff for your AMAZING customer service, you guys rock! This lady runs on Dunkin’ and will make sure to come to this location more often.“

“I’m fairly new to road biking and had just bought a new to me road bike from FB Marketplace. I had sent an email through their contact form which Laurie answered and gave me enough reason to bring my bike to Proteus. I brought my bike in this past Saturday. The first person that greeted me was Paul. He checked over my bike and let me know that my bike was really in great shape and made a few minor adjustments that he didn’t charge me for. He replaced my seat and clipless pedals with flat pedals. Literally everyone in that shop made me feel comfortable and welcome. Laurie, Jeff, Duncan, Andy, Paul, yall are amazing and made me feel at home. I live in DC, but Proteus is my go to bike shop now!“

I had the Gut Buster, which was a delightful combination of pineapple, ginger, and spinach. I was advised it was one of the more popular flavors, and it's clear why!

The medium sized smoothie was a very generous portion, and the price was not unreasonable at under $10.

What stood out to me about this smoothie was how SMOOTH it was! Often, smoothies have chunks of ice, or are otherwise poorly blended; however, these were pleasantly smooth and easy to drink.“

“We arrived early to no crowd!! We usually go to the 14th street location..being it is walking distance from home. We decided to venture out to the 2nd location out Penn. Ave. The waiter was prompt, cordial and efficient. We both had fresh brewed hot coffee. We both had the Big Waffle Breakfast. The delicious waffle was served hot to melt the butter! My companion complemented the waiter by saying the entire meal with bacon and eggs were the hottest (temp) served in a restaurant!!

“Today, my coworkers and I visited a coffee shop. I enjoyed a hot chocolate, ham and cheese croissant, and some pumpkin bread. The customer service was excellent. While making my drink, the worker ran out of whipped cream. She apologized and had to go to the back to get more. I waited for a while, but I appreciated that all the employees checked on me and made me a new hot chocolate since the previous one had gone cold. Thank you for the great service!“

“coffee does not disappoint! delightful coffee shop with a lovely environment to work on a laptop between chats with friends :) i recommend asking the barista for their favourite pastry and trying it! i got a pistachio pastry of some sort that was easily the best pastry i’ve had in town. the hot honey cinnamon latte pulls just the right balance of bitter and sweet that adds fragrance to flavour.

“THIS LOCATION is my FAVORITE Starbucks location! I literally call it MY Starbucks. I live in the vicinity of 3 standalone Starbucks, all with a drive thru BUT the Skyland Town Center location is better than the Clinton and Forrestville locations in every category listed above. The customer service is ALWAYS A1 whether the drive thru is wrapped around the corner or if I'm the only person in line. Bc this is "my" Starbucks, the morning crew has perfected my creatively complicated (but not complicated) drink so well, that on first sip, my morning is made (it's a marriage between an iced peach green tea and a lemonade Mango Dragonfruit Refresher). The few times when my drink was made incorrectly, it was remade and STILL handed to me with a smile, sometimes even a cute sticker. I even took a trip to the Forrestville location to compare my experience. While there, their manager and a barista had a whole conversation in front of me about requesting off hours while I sat there waiting...didn't even great me, AND handed me half of my order with a head nod to leave, lol! The audacity was real! So right there, evidence that the Skyland location is unmatched in customer service. I'll stay with "my" Starbucks! Thank you!“

I have tried twice to use it but the second time I focused on accurately adding the amount of sugar I wanted but it didn't go through because the barista served my coffee with no sugar and looking at the receipt it didn't have any sugar amount. I have been to stores all over the world and despite always being busy, the store is somehow always immaculately clean, with staff always happy to help. And order a latte based on the recommendation from the barista. I also order the bacon breakfast sandwich. When I bit into the sandwich it was still very cold. They remade it no issues. I should mention today is the day Starbucks brought back the free refills and the mug service. So I ordered my coffee in the mug because I knew I’d be here till around 5pm. When I went to get refill it was my surprise I could not. I was informed that I didn’t order the correct drink even though when I was ordering I excitedly told the barista that I was excited about the refills and ordered it in the mug for that purpose. Despite this the wonderful store manager Josh took the time to explain to me what coffees and teas qualified and he gave me a refill anyway even though my drink didn’t qualify. “I visited Cuppa Tea last weekend after the DCDI at UMD. I went with a group of friends to get boba and shared an ice cream sundae. I got the Lemon Black Tea which was amazing! Perfectly flavored and sweet. I wish I would've gotten the bigger size because it didn't last long lol. I got a Chocolate Egg Waffle with Nutella filling and vanilla ice cream with Oreos and Reeses. OMG it was sooo good! Our visit there was the perfect way to end the weekend. We hung out at the Cafe while we drank/ate. It's a super cute shop and the staff were really nice! This is a fast food chain franchise, so I can't really hold this specific store responsible for the quality of the food beyond major errors, which were absent. For their part, it met expectations. I think 3 stars is about as good as any store can achieve doing the best they possibly can given the quality of the recipes and ingredients.“
