“So thankful for this location providing an excellent customer service experience. I called four different Dunkin’s before reaching this location. I called the store yesterday morning trying to track down a new blinged out tumbler that Dunkin released, which I just knew would sell out quickly as it would be sold at limited locations. To my surprise the staff member who answered the call stated that there was only one more left. When I asked if they would hold it for me they said sure. I gave them my name and upon my arrival the staff member I spoke to remembered me and went to the back to grab my cup. The staff member mentioned they had just put them out yesterday on Tuesday and by the next day there was only one left, which is the one I was able to get a hold of. Talk about a Merry Christmas to me. A big thank you to the Dunkin’ staff for your AMAZING customer service, you guys rock! This lady runs on Dunkin’ and will make sure to come to this location more often.“

I was hungry so I ordered the Loco MoCo platter with a fruit smoothie. Good flavorful dish for putting some meat on your bones! Nice local small family business to support.“

“I’m fairly new to road biking and had just bought a new to me road bike from FB Marketplace. I had sent an email through their contact form which Laurie answered and gave me enough reason to bring my bike to Proteus. I brought my bike in this past Saturday. The first person that greeted me was Paul. He checked over my bike and let me know that my bike was really in great shape and made a few minor adjustments that he didn’t charge me for. He replaced my seat and clipless pedals with flat pedals. Literally everyone in that shop made me feel comfortable and welcome. Laurie, Jeff, Duncan, Andy, Paul, yall are amazing and made me feel at home. I live in DC, but Proteus is my go to bike shop now!“

“The chai here is outstanding; possibly the best in the DC metro area. You can taste the ginger and cardamom, and there's a hint of heat. It's great! Someone said the concentrate is Metolius, which tracks, because that's one of my favorites, but it's rare to find in the East Coast. It's phenomenal. I do wish they had almond milk in addition to oat and soy (and whole), but this chai is so good, I'll take it however I can get it. And they filled my to-go cup with no issues. The parking is a little tight, FYI.“

The only thing that needed a smidge more seasoning was the fried green tomatoes. The first time I ordered them they were seasoned perfectly. “Oh my gosh I seriously bought an espresso and was about to give up on Starbucks completely although I’ve been a loyal customer 13+ years. The two in the Navy Yard kept disappointing me, and my last pumpkin spice latte was a mess. I swore I wasn’t going back. But since it’s winter, I decided to try one more location… and wow. 2800 Alabama Ave SE completely changed my mind. The customer service was amazing everyone was upbeat, funny, and full of energy, even early in the morning when I was half asleep. Their vibe LITERALLY lifted my mood. The line looked long but moved super fast, and honestly, I’ll happily drive the extra 14 minutes across the bridge to come here. It’s worth it. And the guy with the dreads? He’s Hilarious! His energy was perfect and he seriously makes everyone smile. I hope he’s at least a manager because he was that good. This is officially my new Starbucks. Best team ever.“

I have tried twice to use it but the second time I focused on accurately adding the amount of sugar I wanted but it didn't go through because the barista served my coffee with no sugar and looking at the receipt it didn't have any sugar amount. She begrudgingly added the sugar for me.The coffee is always tasty.“

“My exercise partner and I were looking for a place that wasn't local. We chose this location because it was 4.2 stars and roughly 30 minutes from our house. The first thing we noticed as we got closer to the entrance was that all of the windows in this property had steel bars covering them. I instantly thought, "We will be completely protected inside if there is a riot between the police and gangs outside." I discovered that you need to be buzzed in by the owner to enter the restaurant as I was reaching to open the entrance.“

“Our Cashier Jamie was amazing! What a lovely fellow!! We are traveling across country from Portland Oregon, and even though we’ve driven 4700 miles so far, he made us feel right at home! One of your other male servers also went above and beyond by calling us by name and making us feel like we were part of the family!“

Considering how busy the drive-thru was (we had to park in the shopping center's adjacent lot due to the heavy traffic), I was pleasantly surprised to find how attentive the in store lobby service turned out to be. We were only waiting in line a short time before a barista opened a second register to help us. My black Friday shopping was a very low stress experience.“

The parking lot was clean and the building did not appear to be dilapidated in any way.

The person taking my order was friendly, understood everything I said, and repeated it back to me to confirm. They had it done very quickly and the staff giving me my order was friendly.

This is a fast food chain franchise, so I can't really hold this specific store responsible for the quality of the food beyond major errors, which were absent. For their part, it met expectations. I think 3 stars is about as good as any store can achieve doing the best they possibly can given the quality of the recipes and ingredients.“

Their seasonal introductions such as the Pumpkin Latte during Halloween, Christmas Cookie Latte during Christmas, Mango Smoothie during summers among others are my favourites. The atmosphere at this outlet is amazing, and I often just go and sit with a fresh cuppa just to relax. Definitely my favourite here. Although the price is slightly high, but the comforting vibes, the innovative drinks and excellent service all make it worth the visit.“
