“I love this place. My order is always right and I never have an issue with the staff as they’re always friendly and respectful.

However, I noticed ever since this black lady with braids (usually in a ponytail or such) started working there, she has made the experience a lot less pleasant. She is very rude and quite literally never smiles or says any friendly words. It’s almost as if she hates the customers for something that went wrong in her life. She has a very bad attitude and ruined my morning one time I went before work. I’m not sure if she is the manager but I’d consider training her on customer service or replacing her ASAP!! It’s unfortunate because everyone else that works there is very sweet. It’s a bad look.“

“This is hands down the best cafe in the DC area. They take coffee making down to a science and do it with attitude. The ambiance is great.

It’s a big bike (bicycle) hang out spot over the weekends, lots of folks riding on the Rhode Island Ave Trolley trail divert here.

Their food options are very light but they do have decent pastries and bagels with cream cheese.

But all that other stuff aside, if you are a coffee enthusiast, you MUST check this place out. It raises the standard for coffee in the greater dc area.“

“I’m fairly new to road biking and had just bought a new to me road bike from FB Marketplace. I had sent an email through their contact form which Laurie answered and gave me enough reason to bring my bike to Proteus. I brought my bike in this past Saturday. The first person that greeted me was Paul. He checked over my bike and let me know that my bike was really in great shape and made a few minor adjustments that he didn’t charge me for. He replaced my seat and clipless pedals with flat pedals. Literally everyone in that shop made me feel comfortable and welcome. Laurie, Jeff, Duncan, Andy, Paul, yall are amazing and made me feel at home. I live in DC, but Proteus is my go to bike shop now!“

It’s a charming, cozy spot with an exceptionally clean interior. The pastries and coffee are delicious, and the staff is warm and welcoming. “The food was delicious and Alejandro was a great server! He was very personable and prompt! We had the salmon cakes, banzino fish, w/greens, red beans & rice. The only thing that needed a smidge more seasoning was the fried green tomatoes. The first time I ordered them they were seasoned perfectly. I also thoroughly enjoyed the nicely cooked breakfast potatoes! This is my 3rd trip here, and I will be back!“

“You won't find a better Dunkin. The food and drinks at this location are consistent and the employees tend to be efficient and helpful. That's really all you can ask for with a franchise, hence the 5 stars. My wife and I are a frequent visitors and have not been let down once, and I couldn't say that about any other Dunkin we've frequented. Do take note that this location doesn't have a drive-thru, but the quality here is worth it if you're in a Dunkin mood.“

Food is super unique and delicious, highly recommend as I've never seen another place that offers this cuisine. Intriguing flavor combinations. “I am not sure if the kiosk is not reliable or it's user error. I have tried twice to use it but the second time I focused on accurately adding the amount of sugar I wanted but it didn't go through because the barista served my coffee with no sugar and looking at the receipt it didn't have any sugar amount. She begrudgingly added the sugar for me.The coffee is always tasty.“

“Everything went well. I got the honey almond flat. I never had a ristretto before and wanted to try it. It was delicious. I asked for 3 pumps of syrup instead of four and it was just right. This Starbucks is in a hospital so it's small.“

“Store layout is great! Would be a really good hangout place if no covid to worry about. Their "cold signature milk tea" is the HK style tea and different than the other bubble tea you had. Highly recommend the "curry fish ball" and their egg waffle (we had the classic style). Will definitely visit again!“

“This place is so fun if you love a variety of Asian foods, and this evening I happened to walk in on a fantastic live jazz band playing by the bar. Last time, we had Korean tacos and tempura, this time I’m having croffles, miso soup, and spaghetti. (I know it’s weird but it’s all so delicious)“

“I love the tea here I come all the time. But the bobas are always a hit or miss. It’s so annoying because when I go I have to go at a certain time so that the bobas taste fresh. I don’t know what it is but they need to fix it. With the old management it was never like that idk what changed. Love the place though vibe is nice staff is chill it’s just the bobas.“

“My exercise partner and I were looking for a place that wasn't local. We chose this location because it was 4.2 stars and roughly 30 minutes from our house. The first thing we noticed as we got closer to the entrance was that all of the windows in this property had steel bars covering them. I instantly thought, "We will be completely protected inside if there is a riot between the police and gangs outside." I discovered that you need to be buzzed in by the owner to enter the restaurant as I was reaching to open the entrance.“

“I didn't order any food or drink during my visit, but I appreciated that the store was clean and well stocked with holiday coffees and merchandise.

Considering how busy the drive-thru was (we had to park in the shopping center's adjacent lot due to the heavy traffic), I was pleasantly surprised to find how attentive the in store lobby service turned out to be. We were only waiting in line a short time before a barista opened a second register to help us. My black Friday shopping was a very low stress experience.“

She knows her customers and goes way above and beyond for service. The other staff can sometimes be less customer handy. As customers have to catch their attention or have to follow up just to get the mobile orders placed ahead of time. I will say that, thanks to management being so helpful, they don’t great. If she can teach her skills to the staff, they would be an amazing business.“

Their White Mocha is my favourite and always a comforting option to have. Their seasonal introductions such as the Pumpkin Latte during Halloween, Christmas Cookie Latte during Christmas, Mango Smoothie during summers among others are my favourites. The atmosphere at this outlet is amazing, and I often just go and sit with a fresh cuppa just to relax. Definitely my favourite here. Although the price is slightly high, but the comforting vibes, the innovative drinks and excellent service all make it worth the visit.“
